They scrimp on quality- ex: the veggie pho was literally a bowl full of cheap noodles with very few actual veggies and tofu. Even more disappointing was the response of the female server who said she would ask the chef about it ( without actually taking it back to show the chef)- she returned and said that is how the chef said it is supposed to be. Zero effort made to fix the issue which could have otherwise prevented the two star review. Bathroom also had no paper towel dispenser or dryer when we went. Nice gimmick with the stone bowl but it adds nothing to the eating experience. It doesn't even keep the broth that much warmer than a regular ceramic bowl. Bo ne (Vietnamese equivalent of the English full breakfast). This is an interesting take of the Bo ne but it's so different from what im used to. They use roundeye slices instead of steak cuts. Went here for lunch on a weds. Not a whole lot of people yet as it's a newer restaurant. A few of us sat down and found the service to be quick and the setting to be modern, clean, and trendy! Pricing was high for a Vietnamese restaurant with a regular large bowl of pho around 16-18 and their hot stone pho at 23 dollars. I personally had the hot stone pho which did keep the soup nice and hot through the meal. The beef rib that came with the soup was not cooked down so the meat would fall off the bone making it difficult to eat . Probably wouldn't recommend it due to that. Soup for the pho was full of flavor and rich . Hit the spot on a cold day. I'll likely try this place again down the road but for now I found the pricing to be overly high for all items on the menu. 10+ for banh mi, 7-9 dollars for Vietnamese iced coffee (depending on variation) , 16-23 dollars for an average at best sized bowl of pho. A lunch meal for 3 of us in total was 90 dollars. read more

This place opened up right across the street from where I live so I was really excited to go try it out opening week since I absolutely love vietnamese food and have been eating it regularly for over a decade. My wife got the tofu banh mi. It was a little on the dry side, especially the bread, but was fresh and flavorful. Since we were dining it, she was able to add some hoisin, sriracha and sambal to the sandwich for a little extra flavor and to help with a little moisture to the bread. Definitely not worth the $10 though. I got the Beef Ribs pho as that was recommended and their signature dish and it is also one of my most favorite meals in the world. It came out in a large bowl barely half full with broth and the two giant dinosaur ribs sticking out. The broth itself was quite flavorful albeit way too sweet (they really should add about a third of the sugar coz it almost felt like dessert) and the noodles and garnish were fresh and hit the spot. I wish there was more broth in such a big bowl and that they didn't use such a wide bowl where everything cooled down very quickly. By far the biggest disappointment were the ribs. First off, they were absolutely cold. Like they had been lying out on the counter all day and nobody bothered to dunk it into the hot broth for 30 seconds before serving; come on guys, it's not that hard. Secondly, they were severely, and I mean severely undercooked, to the point of being inedible. The sinew and connective tissues hadn't yet broken down, the gristle all still clung to the bone, the fat under the skin hadn't rendered and was still a raw chewy mess and beef ribs which are supposed to be a tender succulent cut ended up being an impossible jaw workout. I was maybe able to eat 25% of each rib, the bottom part, and had to literally leave the rest because it was just impossible to chew, let alone swallow. Super disappointed with the pho here. You can't screw up the one dish you're expected to get right, especially when the prices for everything are that steep. It feels like all the attention was spent on the decor and there was none left for the food. I'd rather stick to Issaquah Pho down the street when I'm craving a simple bowl, that too for half the price, or drive to Pho Bac Soup Shop when I want a rib pho. Unfortunate. read more

I'd give this place 3.5 stars so rounding up. Overall it's a nice place you wouldn't expect to find in a mall near a Verizon store. The ambiance is more upscale and nicely decorated. They have booths and a long central table with modern light fixtures. When I arrived at 11:30am, I was the only diner. They have a pretty good selection of dishes but I was curious to try their special pho after reading other reviews. The waiter was very polite and efficient. It was huge! The soup is topped with two large rib bones with lots of meat- that could be its own appetizer itself. The broth was tasty and it had all the essential elements of pho. My friend ordered the vermicelli with chicken and she enjoyed her dish. Overall I like this place for the food and atmosphere. But at $23 for pho, it's a little hard for me to swallow when I can get a good bowl for almost half the price in Bellevue. This is unlike any pho place I've been to - it's bright, modern, super clean. And because of that, I immediately wrote it off and had low expectations. But I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the brisket pho for myself, as well as fried egg rolls to share. The egg rolls came out super hot, but were not really flavorful. These can be skipped, don't waste your stomach space. The pho, however, was delicious. The bowl seemed a little small at first but held a good amount of food. The broth was flavorful, the meat tender, and there was actually a good meat to pho noodle ratio (frequently it's just a few slices of meat on top with a lot of pho as filler). My friend ordered the hot stone pho (we had seen it on instagram and were intrigued), which comes with a few different types of meat - only one is provided raw and ready to cook in the boiling broth (the other two - ribs and meatballs are already in the bowl placed on the table). Prices are higher than most pho places in the area, but it's a good option if in Issaquah and there's plenty of parking. Service was so-so, which is why I knocked this down a star (the server taking our order said it was his first day, so we extended some grace and patience, but it felt like he was being trained on the go). At one point, there was also four waiters standing behind the counter and a customer trying to get their attention, so it seems like there could be some improvement in that area. My wife suggested we give this place a shot. Surprisingly, there was hardly any wait when we arrived (although it got quite busy later). The decor is quite pleasing, especially for a new spot. As is often the case with fresh establishments, there were some hiccups in service - rushed orders and slight mishaps, perhaps due to staff training. However, this is par for the course, and we hope they'll iron out these kinks for a smoother customer experience. I decided to try their 'hot stone pho.' It was indeed hot, but sadly lacked flavor. I came here during the grand opening and got takeout. Ms. Saigon Kitchen is located in the Issaquah Commons near REI. There is plenty of parking and the space is easy to find. Inside is a nice layout with plenty of tables, and I saw a few larger groups while I was there as well. I ordered the grilled pork banh mi and fried egg rolls. Since they were busy the order took about twenty minutes to come out. The fried egg rolls were great, especially with the sweet sauce. I finished them before remembering to take a picture. Unfortunately I was severely let down by the grilled pork banh mi, which is the reason I rated this experience at 3 stars. For a regularly priced $10 banh mi, I was expecting a good portion and great sandwich. However, even though the bread was good and there was a good portion of grilled pork, the sandwich was overall very dry, with very little pate, and I wish it had jalapenos in it (or something to give it a bit more of a kick). I was pretty interested to try this restaurant after seeing photos/videos of their Hot Stone Pho online. We ordered a Hot Stone Pho as well as a regular Pho Your Way and they were both delicious. The hot stone definitely had a meatier broth due to the beef rib that it came with. I also enjoyed cooking the pieces of beef steak in the hot broth which allowed the beef to stay tender. Their regular pho was also quite good and you can pick which 2 meat cuts you want in it. Their noodles were on the soft side though which is something that could be improved. Overall a delicious new pho spot in Issaquah. I will definitely be back to try some of their other dishes! read more

They also filled our water where we never ran out and never had to ask for more. Soup served in an oversized bowl garnished with green onions, yellow onions, and cilantro ($20). ----- CS1. Cast Iron Skillet - Vietnamese Bo Ne: marinated rib eye steaks, fried egg, homemade pate, onion, tomatoes. Served w/ Vietnamese French Bread and homemade mild spicy pickled cabbage & carrots ($22). ----- The dishes were delicious with great flavor and had a nice presentation. Meat was tender and portions were adequate. Including homemade pate also shows authenticity. Did not run into any issues during the visit. Food: Food was great, I ordered a steak pho, the meat was tender and the broth was flavorful. My husband ordered general tso's chicken and he loved how crispy the chicken was. We ordered the chicken rice platter for our 3 year old son and he ate the whole thing. Chicken was marinated with lemongrass but it wasn't overwhelming. At the end of our meal we also tried the Vietnamese coffee. It was great, strong coffee taste. Atmosphere: it's a new joint, everything is nice and shiny. Writing a review so that I can remember not to go here. The service was not good.... they never brought us water even though other tables had water. We had to ask for it, and when they brought the water, there was stuff floating in the glasses of water. The place seemed kinda dirty. The Lemongrass had a large piece of meat on bone in it (guess I should have read the description more closely). We just didn't like any of the items. The spicy lemongrass noodle soup here is SO GOOD, tbh it feeds 2 with that huge ass rib they give you which has a ton of meat on it . Service is a bit slower and the place isn't huge so it gets full fast and sometimes you see open tables that haven't been cleaned. 2 really nice single bathrooms and lots of parking! We came in last weekend on a Saturday. It was pretty busy and had a wait time to get seated. Soon after we got seated, I noticed the servers looked like they were in a bit of chaos. We had to ask 2 different people to take our order before finally someone acknowledged that and actually took our order. Now the actual problem... it took 40minutes for our foods to come. We ordered at 1:25pm, and our appetizer didn't come until 1:53pm and then another 10mins for our entree. We ordered their ribs pho and the Bo Ne for our entree. We had been to lots of pho place, and it certainly didn't take 40mins to prepare noodle soup with ribs. The food was actually good- the Bo Ne and the Garlic Butter Fried Tofu especially; the pho was okay. But there's nothing that would justify 40mins wait for any dine-in meals. It was a cold night and I needed some hot and spicey pho to fill my belly and warm me up. The place is fairly new and well decorated with a modern suburban look. We were greeted and seated quickly. I ordered my standard pho with steak, tendon and brisket. My girlfriend order the pho with a short rib. It came quickly, with steaming hot broth. I added the bean sprouts, basil and my normal large squirt of Sriracha sauce. The broth was great and there was a nice amount of meat. My girlfriends short rib pho was great. She couldn't eat all of the meat from the short rib, so she gave it to me. It was tender and juicy with great flavor. Why not 5 stars? A 5 star rating is for the best of the best. Miss Saigon was very good, but it would need to increase their service levels. Do I recommend this restaurant? Oh yes! If you visit this restaurant, I'm sure you will agree with my review. I liked how the broth stayed hot for the entire meal due to the stone pot. My wife had the bo ne, which we don't order often so couldn't tell you if it was legit or not but my wife enjoyed it. We also got the fish sauce wings which were okay. I think if you're looking for a higher end Viet place that also serves mimosas, then this place is for you. Saw that there was a new Pho placed that opened up in Issaquah so we had to take a drive from Lynnwood to try it out when I saw that they did something unique and different with their Pho! I was very disappointed in their spring roll, it was pretty much a veggie roll with how much lettuce and bean sprouts, and little vermicelli and protein in it. For the price of it, I wouldn't ordering again. But the calamari was delicious, the special sauce that they used on it was delicious! The calamari was crispy and it was cooked perfectly. We each ordered Pho, she ordered Pho with ribeye and I ordered their special Hot Stone Pho! This was a very unique way to serve Pho and I really loved the concept. The bowl of Pho cost $23, it is pricey for Pho but it came with beef rib, beef meatball, and sliced rib eye steak on the side! It comes out sizzling hot and the thing that I realized when eating this was make sure to cook and eat your ribeye first because the soup slowly gets warm and you won't be able to cook the meat fast enough. Just had some beef pho. Looks lowkey sketch since no one was there eating. Was just kinda bad, the beef was super chewy, I probably was able to eat one piece.
