I got the 2 entree with 1 side lunch special which was noodles with kung pao chicken and brocoli and beef. Very small portions stuffed into a small container. The beef was ok but only saw a couple pieces of chicken (mainly vegetables). The locals tell me it's been around a long time. Alot of takeout orders. Acceptable. Vallarta Grill looked like a good option so we headed over. This was a Saturday evening (about 6pm)... they were busy, but had no trouble seating us within a couple minutes (the host had to duck out to clean the booth for us). The menu is very complete - lots of options! It was honestly tough to make a choice. I chose the Lamb Shank, which included an enchilada. I was given the choice of ground beef, shredded beef or chicken for the enchilada. I asked if I could somehow upgrade to a shrimp enchilada and was politely declined. My date chose the chile verde. I also ordered coconut shrimp as an appetizer. First up was the coconut shrimp - first impression: I was surprised at how "flat" they were! Obviously it was intentional, but flatter than anything I've seen or had before. I jokingly called them "road kill shrimp" and my date slapped me. They were good, though, and I understood and appreciated the reason(s) for flattening them - more surface area for the breading, even cooking and easy to scoop up the yummy sauce. Next up were the main dishes - the Lamb Shank was good... imo, I would have liked the sauce to be a little thicker, but the flavor was good. I really liked the enchilada too. I didn't have a ton of the rice and beans just because I normally don't eat much of that - but it was good, better than I've had elsewhere! I had a bite of my friend's chile verde too and give it a thumbs up. I love flan. I was full enough that I didn't need to order flan, but I couldn't leave without giving the flan a try. I'm glad I did! The flan was very good, some of the best I've had in a while. Overall, great meal and I wouldn't hesitate to drop by again if I was in the area.

If you are feeling alittle under the weather or getting over a cold this soup is wonderful ! Love the side of jalepenos! I also got the drunken noodles...level 7 heat. I could have easily went to level 9! I love spicy and the dish had tender beef with carrots and cabbage. Very tasty! They were surprised I could take the heat..lol! I've been here so many times I can't count, but we went tonight & I decided I'd do a review! Everything was fresh, didn't take too long and the staff was friendly making sure we had water at all times, etc. My family is a big fan of the special plates as they are affordable and give a variety of items. Fresh and not hard to chew ! I went out of my way to get more jerkey for the road which included apple jerkey...garlic pepper jerkey and more teriyaki jerkey! The seasoning is just right, and the flavor and texture is perfect! I am hooked! Great for snacking and well packaged for traveling. Everyone is so friendly there...especially ELY! They have done a good job on the remodel ! It's located across and towards the back of where Dennys used to be ( btw. Dennys is closed permanently). I ordered the chicken pho and the combination plate. The pho broth was tasty and the amount they give you is budget friendly! Plenty of chicken in the soup! The combination plate consisted of chicken and beef with pork and shrimp with their rice. SO much food! The beef was tender..chicken was nice and tender and shrimp was tasty. Rice was excellent! Love the extra Seasonings on the side! It's going to be a hit in Oroville because they have fresh food with reasonable prices! They also serve beer and wine. I won about $24.00, then stupidly kept playing and lost $14.00 from it. I had a pale ale in the brewery, and it was delicious. The brewery is the highlight of the casino IMO. They have great beer, an impressive menu, plenty of seating, and a stage for live music. I'm looking forward to my next visit.
