We ended up booking a job to move our A/C unit due to a backyard reno but ended up deciding to not move forward due to our budget. Back in April MSP Heating came over to fix my blower and air conditioner. And they did an amazing job. And I didn't know that included a complimentary maintenance which was today. They sent out Jay the technician and he did an amazing job, cleaning the blower and replacing the air filter. He also went beyond his duty to help me fix the blower because it was not turning on correctly. He did it at no extra charge and that is amazing. You don't find that with other companies. Other companies will try to screw you over and Charge you for everything. Well not these guys. These guys are professional they don't upsell you. My AC has been giving trouble for some time and MSP came and did a repair about one month ago. It was working well for a while then broke down again. I called MSP and they promptly sent out a technician to assess the issue and informed me that I need a new unit. I was not happy with the technician who came out to assess the issue and asked to speak to his manager. Technician was able to get Dani on the phone right away. Dani was able to explain the situation and gave me an estimate. I explained to Dani that I would want to get more estimates from other companies. Dani helped me to review other companies reviews and was patient with me. Dani said Brett will come to my home to take photos to ensure appropriate work can be done by the technician who will come the next day to install the unit. Brett came to my home in couple hours and he was very professional and showed empathy for my stressful situation. When I explained to Brett. I have other people coming in for estimates, he said he understands and did not try to pressure me to work with MSP. He calmed explained current AC industry climate and what is risk of working with not a solid company. To make the long story short, both Dani and Brett were transparent and efficient when communicating with me. I chose MSP to help me with installation of my new AC due to their dedication to service and high quality work they do. Installation went great. What they say is true! You get what you pay for. MSP repairman, Jay was very professional, patient and friendly, he explained the way everything in my heating system works, what needed to be repaired, cost, time, etc. Each time jay scheduled to come out, he arrived within 10 minutes of scheduled time! MSP was a bit expensive, but well worth the money. I know I won't have to worry about my heating system for at least the five years they guaranteed their work. Wow!! Ok... so Donald from MSP Cold called me yesterday to ask me if I currently work with an HVAC company for my business.. and I told him that I did have a couple of guys but they had been super unresponsive and flaky lately, and that I actually DID need somebody to come out to my house. Literally just one hour later, Danny showed up, One of the service technicians. He went above and beyond to fix the problem I had which basically was a completely blocked drainage line.. he took the extra time out to make a trip to go down to Home Depot to get the supplies needed, even though it was outside the realm of the scope of work that they would normally do.. what I really needed was a plumber, but he took it upon himself to make sure that my problem was corrected. Not only that, he was very nice and courteous. AND I was charged just a minimal service fee, not the normal fee that they should have charged me. I was completely blown away by the level of customer service. I must say MSP Heating and Air Conditioning provided by far the most outstanding service. I called yesterday (which was a Sunday) and asked if someone could come out because our AC stopped working. Being that it was already late (after 5pm) AND it already starting to reach above the 90s in temp I knew they were going to be booked. The gentlemen did in fact tell me that unfortunately they couldn't send anyone out that night BUT would have someone come first thing in the morning. Now I want to say that from the first call I was impressed, MSP wasn't worried about making money off me because they asked me first if I had a home warranty plan that could possibly take care of my AC needs. I told them that I wasn't sure, and the guy over the phone asked me if I want to check before scheduling an appointment. I scheduled the appointment just in case and then called my home warranty (just to find out that it had already expired). The fact that MSP wanted me to check to see if I had a warranty so I wouldn't have to pay extra was very considerate. So the estimated time of arrival was 8-9am. I didn't actually think they'd be here exactly at 8am. Being the NON morning person that I am I greeted them with my overworked, tired, mom look... HaHa. Russel and Alex were super sweet and didn't mind my "not a morning person" attitude. Also, not to mention my kids mess in the house. For any of you worried about covid precautions, MSP workers are still abiding by them. They both wore masks and even work shoe covers inside my home. So first I'd like to recognize Russel for the most courteous manner in which he approached things. He is very honest and straight forward. He explained that him and the other technician were going to go step by step and see what the problem was. First thing they found was that the AC capacitor was not working. According to him a capacitor is like a car battery but of course this is the AC battery. So he asked me before proceeding if it was okay to replace this. After replacing this he showed me that the AC disconnect box was not receiving the charge coming from the house. In order to understand this he showed me the charges with a voltage tester. So I knew I needed to change this as well. Russel went over the charges and asked if it was okay to proceed. Of course I said yes. Now at this point I was like GREAT! I'm going to end up replacing the entire unit! BUT no! Russel and Alex had fixed the problem by replacing these two things. I was more than ecstatic! I can say though it's not cheap nor too expensive BUT I did slightly check online for prices of the parts and labor and they pretty much stayed within those limits. Now if you want to risk messing up your unit or if you know what you're doing then go ahead and buy the parts and do it yourself, but I'm no professional... and I know I would just make things worse. Russel also asked me about my filters in my home, needless to say I had no clue what he was taking about (SMH) but he was kind enough to show me and let me know that these needed to be taken care of ASAP. I had already spent so much on fixing me AC that he was kind enough to give me the measurements of the filters I needed and said I could replace them myself. I cannot tell you how appreciative I am of his help. I can tell that MSP Heating and Air Conditioning really just cares about taking care of peoples needs. It was nice. Thank you for sending such pleasant honest technicians to my home to fix my AC. With tomorrow's predicted 106 degree temperature I'm soooo glad this was done! Oh and btw I got some fancy pens out of it! Thanks again! Sorry for the long review! They were just too awesome I had to explain in detail! FRUSTRATED IN RIVERSIDE WITHOUT A.C. FOR OVER A MONTH NOW! Unfortunately Danny did not leave any specifics as to who he spoke to regarding the furnace still being under warranty and a 2014 model. He gave me numbers of 3 people that do warranty work telling me his company does not do warranty work. Two of those businesses he provided me told me my furnace is no longer under warranty, is a 2005 model, and not a 2014 like Danny had told me. I confirmed this personally speaking to James at US Air providing him the model and serial number, being told the unit is long past it's warranty. I left messages for Danny to please provide me an estimate to replace my units so I have air-conditioning. No response. Out of frustration on 8/2/22 I called the company Danny works for, 'MSP Heating and Air', and asked to speak to the owner or manager. I was told the owner's name is Chav but they were not able to give out his information. Then I asked to speak with a manager. They refused to provide the name of the manager and no one called to follow up with me. I am still without a working A.C., regretfully, and today received a disrespectful text message from the company, as below: "Good afternoon, We have received various accounts of hostility and harassment towards members of our team. We have attempted to assist you and we are unable to provide service due to our company policy. During visit on June 30th, 2022 service technician did not perform any repairs nor charged any money; also, he recommended contacting another company and provided contact information for set companies. We unable to provide service to you. We hope you find a company that fits your needs." My questions: 1. What company policy? 2. Why was I told erroneous information that my unit was under warranty when it was not? 3. Why were my petitions to get an estimate for a new unit ignored? 4.
