A phone rings, the clanking sound of metal spatulas dancing then scraping against cooktop. Chatter occurring with the cadence of the familiarity in conversations had by family members at a celebration or function. The open kitchen reveals movement and its own dance as the phone rings again and a steady stream of neighbors come in to pick up the orders they called in. The vibe of this breakfast and lunch restaurant, in this multi-ethnic community, is very inviting to all and welcoming. They are cooking. Let them cook. They are working together and hustling. Be patient. Real food made by real people takes time. Enjoy your company or your phone or people watch and eavesdrop like me haha. "Somebody's brother had a heart attach but he f*caked up cuz it was with side piece." I lean a little closer and smile to the ladies chatting and they lean over and say, "...that's messed up right?" Sitting here surrounded by a beautiful mix of elderly and young neighbors of Mt Airy it feels like being at home for the holidays and it's that moment during dinner where everyone is happy and giddy with food babies in their bellies. This place is my favorite breakfast spot and a welcome and refreshing palate cleanser to the steady stream of IG warriors out there with too much hype and not enough taste. I stare down at my cream chipped beef with eggs over easy and smile and apologize to my muse. I'm sorry that I cheated on you last time with shrimp and grits. Thank you for being my steady go to. You always hit just right Get yo azz to this hidden gem if you want a warm space with warm people and a bite out of stomach grumbling nostalgia with their on point and freshly made breakfast and brunch/lunch options. Pssst all soups made in house!!! Get that shiz to goooooo, you're welcome.

I stumbled across this restaurant on Yelp when my first choice has either 'bit the dust' or has altered hours. No matter Mt Airy Breakfast and Lunch was the perfect replacement! Parking was better than I imagined as there was available space out front AND they have a WHAT??? A PARKING LOT! Good start that got better. The inside is not much to get excited about just your basic old school style 'luncheonette' of the 2000's and slightly cleaner. LMBO... Many customers call their orders in, pick up to go. This restaurant is busy on all fronts pick up, orders to go and dine in. With one sister managing it all except the register (of course!). She is managing the to go orders, dine in all with a pleasant manner. I mean she moves quickly NOT RUSHED, she knows her customers their orders. I was amazed as I watched her recite each one correctly. As for the food, totally happy. My pancakes were fluffy a nice golden brown with crispy not overly cooked bacon and the eggs were scrambled nicely not over cooked or dry. The prices are different than the menu but they let you know in advance. Didn't matter! My meal was less than $10, well worth it. Great service and good food, I will make this stop again and soon!

This place is small but the prices and food are good. My partner and I had breakfast here on a Sunday morning. We arrived shortly after 10am and after checking in at the counter, we sat down at an open table. This place only takes cash but there is an ATM inside that charges a fee of $2 or you can go next door to the Credit Union to use that atm. It was very crowded so it took the waitress some time to get to us to take our order and then a bit of a wait to get our food but it was worth it. We plan to come back and try other options on the menu.

A friend recommended a visit to this neighborhood gem for breakfast and I was not disappointed. My tastebuds were delighted with the Jamaican jerk chicken and waffles entree. The waitress was attentive and served me quickly and the ambiance was cheery and fresh in a black and white motif. Look for it across the street from the Mt. Airy fire station. I will definitely be back for a second helping.

Delicious sausage egg and cheese croissant !

Amazing breakfast spot in Germantown!!!Visiting from Orlando and found this wonderful diner serving up smiles along with generous portions of great food! Everything was delicious! Must try salmon patties and toasted blueberry muffin! Orange juice in a bottle! Efficient service, seat yourself, or take out! Clean bathroom. Diverse clientele and employees! See pictures!

Over easy 3 French Toast with Meat and 2 Eggs Platter

The food was good but I was expecting the French toast to have powdered sugar instead it had a more orange powder like if it as cinnamon or turmeric. My taste buds are so thrown off guard . My over easy eggs were also over cooked.

The food was good and the cooks made my food just the way I liked it. The service could've been a little better. The Restaurant was very crowded and a little unorganized. We came into the Restaurant and were standing in line and lucky a customer told us that the line was for takeout. So we had to seat ourselves that was ok no problem. Then the waiters came over and took our order. Then she was yelling over the customers that were sitting at the counter. To inform us that it was no more Decaf Coffee. Overall the Restaurant was nice and clean not a big place a couple of tables and three waiters two on the floor and one for the counter and one person ringing everyone up. But they need help for the took out area. But I will be back.

The $10 martinis on Friday were an excellent deal and definitely one of the highlights of the evening. A well-priced martini always sets a promising tone, and these did exactly that. The bartenders were helpful and kept things moving impressively well, even with a group our size, which was much appreciated. The space itself is huge and very clean, with plenty of tables and seating, so it was easy for everyone to spread out, settle in, and enjoy themselves without feeling packed in. A major point in its favour is the setup for watching sports. They have a massive wall of TV screens, plus more TVs throughout the space, which made it very easy to keep up with multiple games at once. No awkward craning for a view, no fighting for the one good seat, just a very solid setup for a group outing. Overall, it was a fun experience and very much in line with the good times we have had at other City Tap locations in DC. A lively, well-run spot for drinks and groups, and one we would happily return to.

I started with a cocktail and really enjoyed it. It was fruity, well-balanced, and had just the right amount of alcohol without being overpowering. Based on recommendations, I ordered the burger. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype for me. It could have been cooked better, and overall I wasn't particularly impressed with it. What stood out most was the service. Luckily, we found street parking right next to the restaurant, which was a nice surprise. When we arrived, the wait for a table of three was about 45 minutes. That's somewhat expected for a popular brunch spot on a weekend. Once seated, the service was prompt. Our waiter stopped by quickly with waters and took good care of us throughout the meal. I ordered the House Angus Burger with sweet potato fries. It was solid, flavorful, and definitely filling. My friend got the Bella Vista Omelet with home fries, and we both agreed that while the food was good, it felt like standard brunch fare rather than anything particularly memorable. Based on the long wait and the hype surrounding Sabrina's, I think we were expecting the food to really stand out. In my opinion, the dishes we tried were comparable to what you'd find at a quality chain brunch spot like First Watch. That's not necessarily a bad thing, the food was satisfying, but it didn't quite justify the lengthy wait. That said, the menu has plenty of more unique and creative options that we didn't try. I'd be open to coming back and ordering one of those specialty dishes next time. Overall, I left satisfied with the meal and service.
