You have a car problem. It might be something serious, and your worried. But if anything worries…read moreyou more than the car, it is the prospect of being hosed by a mechanic. go to ron's. he won't pass your car through inspection because your a regular - but there is an upside to that honesty - he will give you an honest diagnosis as to what you really need to do to get the car running. none of that, "while i was in there i saw that your doo-dad flobulator was gunked up so i highly recomend replacing it now". No hard sells on a non-critical cleaning services that you don't understand enough to know if you really need it. If you want Ron to tell you everything thats wrong with the car - he will. If you want him to get it safely rolling on the road as cheap as he can, he will do that too. Ron is also very good at explaining a sophisticated mechanical problem to somebody with little more than a basic understanding of how the car works. So you don't feel like you've just been told what needs to be fixed, you feel like you understand why it needs to be fixed.

Ron is a great guy--honest, trustworthy, and really pleasant to do business with. I had a Saturn a while back, and it started to have an issue with the gear shift. The dealership tried about three times to fix it, with no results. They finally offered me a plan B, and told me it would cost a substantial amount of money to do this next step. I wound up taking the Saturn to Ron's at my Mom's suggestion--he fixed the issue right away, and for about one fifth the cost that had been estimated by Saturn... needless to say, I never went back to the Saturn Dealership, and I've stuck with Ron ever since. I have never had a single issue with his work, and I recommend him to everyone when they mention car troubles.

So I reviewed Mr Tire and got a response that said if I needed more assistance to call the "store owner." So I called and was put on the line with a technician (Todd?). Todd said the store didn't operate like that being 'individually owned' as it's corporate. So he finally put me on with NOEL, an assistant manager who behaved unprofessionally, was defensive and laughed at the situation. Also, NOEL gave me a corporate phone number (800-297-9886) that did not help at all. Those folks had to give me a different phone number to call. MR. TIREs assistant manager Noel, argued that AUTOZONE was at fault for selling Mr. Tire defective sensors, as if we should take our complaint to AutoZone. The point of this review is Mr Tire does not support its customers. We bought four new sensors with our tires. They turned out to all be defective. Now here is what led to this situation. Now for the events that led to aforementioned. In August 2024 we needed new tires. The tires were original to our 2018 Subaru Outback. We took the car to the Glassboro Mr Tire and had all four tires replaced. The total was $1137. In November of that year we noticed the TPMS light continuously coming on, so we took the car back to the Glassboro Mr Tire and they recommended we replace one of the sensors so we did. The total was about $115. About 14 months later, it started happening again. So we brought it to the Oaklyn Mr Tire because we had moved. They checked the sensors and recommended that ALL 4 be replaced. They said they have to be replaced every couple of years. But that's weird because we're older and this has never happened to us in our entire lives before using Mr Tire. So I googled it and yes, tire sensors do go bad--every 6-10 years!! Not in 14 months!! They outlive the life of the tire!! The four new sensors cost us $595 instead of $460, which is the Glassboro location's price multiplied by four. So far these tires have cost us $1847!! This is some kind of scam Mr Tire, especially the Oaklyn location, has running. We decided to have them all replaced because we were upset and didn't know what to do. We should have just left. But when this happens again--and it will--we will go to Tire Kingdom or even the dealership just to be treated like human beings. We are so mad!! Don't go to Mr Tire--it's a scam company!! Due to Noel, I am posting this review online via social media.

I do drive new cars, the ones I have owned are 20+ years old and learned many garages will not touch anything older than cars built in the 2000's or younger. My current daily driver is a rare 1991 Jeep Briarwood Wagoneer with 190k on the clock and S.A. Conte has kept the Jeep in top running condition. Sam has bought parts for me and installed ones I have purchased from reconditioned parts suppliers and OEM dealers. I also let him know what I have purchased prior to the scheduled work giving him the option not to install if he has any concerns, this builds respect and trust for both parties. It's the responsibility of the car owner to research problems associated with the model and year concerning recalls or reports pertaining to issues with the vehicle to give the mechanic a complete picture of the repairs required. Many car owners are lazy and will not take the time to educated themselves on how to fix their cars and then complain about the repairs bill paying the mechanic to be Sherlock Holmes trying to located the car issues. Again, the best approach is to communicate with the mechanic and give them all the information about the repair and funds you have budgeted for the work, doing this will reward you with a great relationship with your mechanic and not be just a number when taking to the dealership or large retail repair shops!

In September 2024, I brought my car in for a routine oil change and to have the head valve gasket replaced. What should have been a straightforward service turned into a nightmare--after the repair, my car would not start at all. When I returned to address the issue, I was met with complete denial and unhelpful behavior from Nick and Jon, the managers. Not only did they refuse to admit any fault, but they also repeatedly lied about what happened and tried to dodge responsibility. It was incredibly frustrating to be met with such blatant dishonesty when all I wanted was for them to fix the mistake. To make matters worse, I overheard Nick say multiple times that they often receive faulty parts, which raises serious concerns about the quality and safety of the work being done at this location. Not long after my car was damaged, the mechanic who worked on it was fired--a clear sign that something went very wrong, yet they still would not be honest with me about what happened. I also called Midas's corporate customer service line to try and escalate the issue, but they refused to hear me out or take any action. It was clear that customer satisfaction and accountability are not priorities for this company. In the end, my car was left in worse condition than when I brought it in, and I was left with the financial and emotional burden of dealing with the aftermath. Do not take your vehicle to this Midas--or any Midas, for that matter--unless you want to risk serious damage and dishonest service. Spend your hard-earned money somewhere that respects their customers and stands behind their work.
