1 star for accommodating me without an appointment. But I went in for a manicure and pedicure and they pretty much messed up my cuticles and cut them up on 4 fingers. It hurt hurt. The place is very spacious, but super quiet. No music or background sound. Won't be coming back here.

I am always pleased with the service here. The ladies are super nice and the place is always clean. Tammie is my go to for acrylic nails. She takes the time with every detail. I asked her to do designs for the first time and was amazed with her talent. My nails turn out great .

Pedicure, the best!

Best pedicure in town!!! I have lymphedema and neuropathy in my left foot and leg and they were very gentle. The massage lasted long and they actually massaged my feet, which nobody in town massages your feet no matter what nail salon you go to. I am a licensed manicurist, and this nail salon is very clean. I will be back definitely!!!!!

The staff are very nice and friendly, and the place is clean. I wanted a pedicure and added a manicure. The manicure was done well, which is why I gave 3 stars. The pedicure, however wasn't. A basic pedicure ($30) doesn't include exfoliation/pumice stone: it's $40 for a pedicure that includes pumice stone. It also doesn't include smoothing small toe/corns, or any smoothing at all. I personally don't care about the "massage" part (I'd rather have that time used on pumicing my feet smooth), but lots of time was spent rubbing a copious amount of lotion on my legs (no foot massage- just leg rubbing). Don't get me wrong- the technician worked hard on that- the skin on my legs was really warm and the tech worked up a sweat. It was just ineffective and unnecessary- kind of a waste of her energy. If that time wasn't going to be used making my feet smooth, then it could have been used on massaging/loosening up the muscles in my feet- you know? The back of my legs were left greasy and I had to wipe it off before getting into my car. The part that's prompting this review, however is the nail polish application. The pedicurist applied very thick coats of polish, and didn't allow drying time in between- which resulted in a thick and unprofessional looking chunk of polish that will probably peel off. She didn't allow the base coat to set or dry, or any of the coats of polish. There are air bubbles on some of my nails. I asked her to fix a big toe where could see the brushstroke lines on the side of my toe. She first attempted to fix it with MORE polish, which created another brush stroke line. Finally she removed it and reapplied the polish. We both missed that there wasn't enough paper to separate my toes, and (on my BAREFOOT WALK ACROSS THE FLOOR - yuck) the toe polish was smeared. She tried to fix it with heavy coats of polish- and I almost let it go- but asked her to fix it (I took a close up picture to show how bad it was). She wasn't happy about it (that's okay) but she removed and reapplied the polish (and tried to skip the base coat) without having an attitude. At this point I was in the salon for 2 hours, watching other patrons get much better pedicures - and leaving in a reasonable amount of time (because their polish was dry and professionally done). It's hard watching others get good and professional service while I'm having to ask for mediocre service just so I can leave. After another half hour of my nails still being wet, I gave up (I'm going to have to remove it all and reapply on my own anyway) paid and left. The pedicurist who was doing a good job on her patrons asked me if I wanted flip flops and seemed concerned about my polish (the pedicurist who had me walk across the floor barefoot wasn't concerned). But at that point, my happy excitement for treating myself was fading and I just wanted to leave and stop wasting my time. I shouldn't have tipped (I only gave a 5% tip) but I tipped because it's a very hot day (90 degrees) and she didn't blame my toe or get an attitude. I tipped the manicurist 22%. I even quietly told the manicurist (because she was processing my transaction) that - everyone is so nice, and I appreciate the service, but that my pedicurist needs to be trained on how to apply polish. She was super condescending; I got the all in one breath: ("OkayThankYouByeHaveAGoodDayBye!") . So I told the pedicurist who had happy patrons the same thing. She did the 'thankyoubye' thing too. So I wasted $68 which is a big deal to me and Easter 2.5 hours of my time which is also a big deal to me( I don't usually have much free time. I could have been doing something else much more useful- time matters too). While I was watching my bad nail polish application not dry, I remembered that I'd been there once before and had a pedicure so poorly done, that I went somewhere else the next day (because I wanted my feet to look nice for an occasion). So - even though they're nice, nice isn't a substitute for competence. If you go, the first chair pedicurist is (as usual) your best bet.

The manicure I received was terrible. A rush job.You can see the various layers.

Some of the nail techs are better than others. I had a manicure and gel pedicure yesterday and this is how my manicure looks less than 24 hours later. This was a rush job and I paid $20.

Nail tip just broke off after 4 days ...

When I'm for a full set on Saturday then by Wednesday I found my nails broken. I didn't do anything strenuous with my hands and didn't even feel my nails break. I just kept noticing missing tips.

Gel manicure- $25

I used to LOVE this place but unfortunately the last couple times I have come here I have been less than satisfied with the outcome. It always seems rushed and the past two times I have been cut on my cuticle and one of those times I was asked to pay before my nails had even been painted.... It seems as though they try to accommodate all walk ins and therefore rush current manicure/ pedicures in the process. Having chipped ( gel ) nails the following day is not totally worth the money spent in my opinion

They also have builder gel, so your nails stay strong and gorgeous for weeks. Ri is so fun to chat with, makes the entire appointment relaxing, and she's amazing at waxing too--so you can literally get pampered from head to toe in one visit. I moved to Hayward recently and had been bouncing around trying to find a new nail spot--came across Sam's page because I was curious about Russian manicures and she does them beautifully. Just a heads up on the booking process: the site directs you to request an appointment, but it's not auto-confirmed--Sam has to accept it manually. For my first appointment, I booked for the next day and wasn't sure if it was going through, so now I just DM her directly to check in. Super easy once you know the flow. Sam herself is super sweet and easy to talk to. She recently went solo with her business, so it's just her now--and honestly, I love that. It's chill, one-on-one, and you can tell she really cares about quality. She has a gorgeous selection of colors and uses high-end products, which I think is why everything lasts so long. The first time I went, my nails were in sad shape and I honestly didn't think they'd bounce back. A month later? I've got legit nails I'm proud to show off. If you're looking for a new nail tech who's talented, kind, and really knows her stuff, definitely give Sam a try. I've already planned my next visit.

I really wanted to love this place because the salon itself was beautiful and the staff was…read morefriendly, but unfortunately the prices and quality were incredibly disappointing. First, I was shocked that a basic kids' pedicure for my 8-year-old son cost $27. All they did was trim and clean his nails, followed by a short leg massage. That price seems extremely high for such a simple service, and there was never any discussion of pricing beforehand. The biggest issue, though, was my own nails. I paid about $55 for my gel manicure--$35 for gel polish, plus an additional $20 for a French tip and a small Mickey design. When I woke up the very next morning, less than 24 hours later, the entire gel polish had already peeled completely off one of my thumbnails. The French tip and Mickey design on other nails were also already lifting and peeling. I've never had a gel manicure fail this quickly. If I lived closer and didn't have to drive across the bridge, I would absolutely return to request a full refund because this level of quality is unacceptable. Between my dad, my two kids, and me, we spent close to $500, so we expected much better workmanship. My daughter's nails actually turned out great, so this review is strictly about the quality of my nails. One other thing that bothered me was my dad's pedicure. The staff kept offering him additional services during the appointment, and he kept saying yes without realizing each one came with an extra charge. By the end, his pedicure totaled over $100 plus tip. I really think pricing for add-on services should be clearly explained before they're performed so customers can make informed decisions. I've attached photos showing my thumbnail the morning after my appointment, along with photos I took the night before. It's incredibly disappointing to spend this much money and have a gel manicure start peeling in less than 24 hours.
