Service is mediocre. If you're not willing to upgrade they barely do anything when getting a mani pedi. For the pedicure she asked if I wanted the "special" pedicure for $8 more i said no and she literally did nothing to my feet but cut my toenails and painted them. No massage no lotion nothing. She also cut me pretty bad started bleeding and she did nothing to fix it. My manicure was done after and she was exactly the same. No massage no special treatment. Nails and when I asked her to clean up the mess around my nails instead of using nail polish remover she started taking my skin off. Made no sense. Not worth it whatsoever. read more

Well... I've been coming here for over 10years. The owner (Jackie) has always bullied me as a little girl but her technician LEE was always 100% and her service doesn't go unnoticed. Overtime, bullying became worse after each visit. The owner becoming more severe after I "PAID" my services which were always over $120. The owner has always called me ugly and said my eyebrows finally did justice. Even being a loyal customer, I used to only live down the street and now located in the peninsula still came back for LEE. Will FINALLY NEVER go back! I hesitated even complaining In the first place because my mother is a regular here. My mom booked our appointment for full set of acrylics for 6pm Two days in advance. We get there at about 5:50pm for our 6pm appts. The lady starts working on my nails first and another lady starts working on my mom's nails about 5 minutes later. In the middle of doing my nails, my tech lady says to go stand by my mom while she fixes someone else's nails and pick a color while I wait. Mind you I've already showed her what I wanted which is the pink powder and white v French tip. As I'm talking to the tech lady who's doing my moms she said the tech lady didn't use powder and I have to pick a pink similar to the powder and she said this is the color I said no because the pink looked too clear. She said she knows what she's doing and said it's the pink 441 it's the same as the pink in the picture I showed. So after about 30 minutes of waiting for my tech lady to finish doing someone else's in the middle of my appt I show her the picture of what I wanted again. And told her the other tech lady said it's this pink color 441. But I'm not sure and to try it first on one nail. After seeing it on one nail she said she has to do another coat. I still am not liking it she said I will after. So she proceeded to finish up my nails. I'm looking at the finished product and it's awful not even close to what I asked for. I'm the type of person who finds it hard to say I don't like my nails or complain but it wasn't what I liked and still I walked outside thinking maybe it's the lighting. Nope I walked back in and politely asked my nail tech if she can fix my nails the next day she said no she'll do them now. I said I've waited a while now I have to go. And she started talking to the other nail tech lady who runs the place and said they'd charge me 15 dollars to fix what they messed up. No way. I said oh no 15 dollars to fix what I've been worried about the whole time after putting another customer who came in after me first during my appt. I will never come here again. First and last time no wonder they have all these damn bad reviews. TRUST don't come here. They didn't even try to redeem themselves. I went today for the second time. Because of my experience with nail shops, I always ask for pricing before any work gets started. They clearly don't like that. Nail tech quotes me $80 for medium nails. I. agree. (SN Everywhere else that's how much I pay for long. ) However, I did not complain, I was ok with paying the $80. Half way through the nail tech speaks to the lady sitting next to her in her language and then tells me that her boss says my nails are $95. I tell her i'm only paying the $80 that she originally quoted me. She said I should have asked her boss. I told her she should have not quoted me a price if she was not sure. She attempted to make it seem as if I did not want to pay. She went on and on about it in both english and her language. All the nail techs came over. She does not know that I saw her secretly recording me. I didn't say anything because I was secretly recording the entire time. I'm going to post to social media to find out exactly what they were saying in their language and I will not be going back. They over charge, they do not honor their own price list, they talk about blacks in their language, they expect for us to shut up and allow them to do whatever they'd like, while we spend our hard earned money. When black women speak up for ourselves they try to make it seem like we did something wrong. To add insult to injury, they are money in our neighborhood and take it back to their neighborhoods and or country. All while disrespecting our community. read more

I would try to find more experienced nail techs. My acrylic was bumpy and had small air bubbles. There was also an uneven look to the surface where it was filed. I didn't feel like she was trying to do bad nails, that's probably the best she could do, but won't be touching my nails again. read more

I got a full set with gel polish. I noticed their instruments are not sterile. The nail tech failed to push the cuticles back so the acrylic was on my skin. The build of the acrylic was very thin and felt like it would break easy. you can clearly see the glue and my natural nail through the gel polish. They used latex gloves which I am allergic to. The BIG mistake was that they use MMA which is an ILLEGAL monomer that activates the acrylic powder which is also an ingredient in CONCRETE. Do not come here, you will risk the health of your nails. Favorite nail shop! Every time I go to a closer shop for convenience I am always disappointed so I just stick to this shop at all times! It's better to make an appointment at least a few hours ahead of time but on most weekdays you'll be fine for a walk in but it's always good to give a call ahead of time. Ladies here are really nice and accommodate all of your nail needs. If you see an imperfection let them know and they'll fix it right away. End up not liking the color no problem they'll switch it out. They have really good customer service here and I highly recommend this nail shop over most of the east bay nail shops! Prices vary if you're getting a full set with one color shellac I believe it's $30 with a design it's a little more other then that prices are really reasonable anywhere else they charge an arm and a leg for designs !! Hmm....I've been going here to get my eyebrows waxed for many years even after I stopped going for my nails. They do them the way I like that's why I keep coming back. This last time was a disappointment though. I asked for my brows to just be cleaned up because I DID NOT want them thin. My regular nail lady is on vacation so I decided to check this place out. Came here on the advice of my coworker and made an appt with Lee. I got a gel full set and love it! Her techniques are not what I'm used to but she got the job done right. And fast! Lee took care of me - I was sweating up a storm because it was hot AF so she grabbed a fan and pointed it my way! :) They have their own parking lot in the back but if you blink you can miss the tiny driveway entrance to the lot. There's a back door you can enter through so you don't have to walk around to the front. A full set is $20, plus $5 because I wanted them pointy, and $8 for gel polish. Oh! And if you pay with Visa there's a $1 charge which she failed to mention until AFTER she swiped my card. All in all I'm very happy with the end result but Lee is giving my regular nail girl a run for her money! Random note: I thought it was interesting they didn't have paper towels after you wash your hands, they had a full bin of clean white towels to wipe your hands and a dirty laundry hamper to toss it into when you're done. read more

If I could give ZERO STARS, I totally would!!!!! I've been a time to time customer of this location. When coming to this salon, I usually receive good service until the other day. I came in after a full day of classes expecting to have a relaxing day at the nail salon. However, I was serviced by lazy, non-thorough and rude manicurist. The woman servicing me wore a Chanel face mask, she literally didn't give a damn about my nails or my pain tolerance. First of all, she did my shellac nails horribly. After polishing, the nails had several lines within the polish, which is something I've never seen before. After informing her about the lines, she immediately tried to shortcut fixing the problem rather than recognizing that she'd used too much polish and had me underneath the UV lighting for too long. After complaining about the lines, she quickly tried to remove the gel, which hurt like hell! She then hands me off to someone that I presume to be a manger. She didn't give a damn either. She quickly and sloppily put on the foil wrapping to remove the horribly done gel nails. This should have been done from the start! She then begins my pedicure, which was absolutely horrible as well. She was literally poking at my toes rather than cleaning my cuticles. I literally walked out with wet feet and all. They didn't care much about me being upset either. She did seem preoccupied with her phone and was often texting, but I didn't mind much as long as she didn't completely ignore me and gave me a beautiful manicure, which she did. I live in San Francisco, and I have no problem with coming here. My mom has been coming here way over 15 years when they first opened their shop in Oakland then Hayward. Michael and Jackie are the owners of this shop, and they are both amazing! Queeny used to do my nails, but since she's been gone, the lovely Tracey has been doing my nails and eyebrows. I rarely get my eyebrows done since I like them thick, and Tracey does them perfectly every time for me. They never look too thin or too thick. She razors my eyebrows for me. You can get them waxed, but I prefer razor since I believe wax takes off a little more hair every time you do that process. I used to do fake nails, but I am going on my third year of wearing my real nails. Tracey starts off my process by asking me how I am doing, and to pick my color. Right after she gets a container filled with warm water to soak my hand in, she files my nails and shapes them accordingly, cleans my nail bids, and massages my hand right before polishing me. She is gentle usually, and I never really experience cuts or anything when she does my nails. She also does a polish change on my feet and cuts my nails down for me. Conclusion: This has been my nail shop for years. I have yet to find another nail shop that is thorough and make sure that every nail is literally perfect before walking out. They service you really fast and greet every customer that comes into the shop. I usually make appointments on their busiest days, so I don't have to wait long. Although Tracey is the one I go to every time, every manicurist in the shop does nails beautifully thanks to the owner Jackie. Eyebrows and eyelashes are extremely popular to get here as well! Their prices are reasonable, I have moved to San Jose about 15 yrs ago and when I requested lashes here in SJ, I can tell by their response that no one knows how, but chose to lie (out of greed) and proceed to request over $100, compared to $25, I was paying for 10 yrs in Hayward! I lauged and teased them for their thirst and deceit to try to scam me for something we can pay $5 from Sally's beauty supply and do yourself.
