Horribly service and atmosphere . Barbers were disrespectful and rude. Horrible music playing with foul language

I've been coming to Mt. Zion for well over 5 years now. I use to go to the shop on Springdale but this one is closer to home. My boy Ulysses NEVER disappoints. He gets me right every time I sit in his chair. He even pulls out the scissors to even me out on top. Other barbers there are good too. Prices are super affordable for their quality haircuts. I'm only giving this place 5 stars for BRITNEY! The first two guys in the front chairs had some stank ass attitudes. No greeting no nothing. Just stared at us like we had no business being there or that we interrupted them watching their game on TV. Annoying fakas. ANYWAYS, Britney gave my son his first haircut & she was great! I went to the other mtzion near the ice rink. But this one is closer to me. I came in for a trim just trim the top I told him and the sides. The fade was ok but he butchered the top part of my hair. His name was junior. I don't know what he was trying to accomplish. The back part of my hair is messed up and there's a bald spot. read more

Second time coming here and they always do a great job considering the fact that it's foe my two year old son. I love it because he's so young and they are always so patient with him no matter who cuts his hair. Will definitely be making this his regular stop for his cuts. Mt. Zion is the real deal. I have been getting my cut here for years now. All the barbers have there own unique style but I prefer Randall. He takes his time & knows his shit! Mt. Zion makes you feel like family and they also provide a positive image to the community. The new shop is minutes from the original shop. It's right off the 22 FWY, next to the Harley Davidson spot. The shop is spacious, clean, comfortable seating, and a huge screen TV so you can watch the game. Highly recommend this barber shop! read more

They did try to make it right and refunded hair cut money, but this is the second bad hair cut my son has had at a Mt zion barbershop. . The hair cut was decent. I prefer the other location better. The dude next to me cutting Someone's hair spent the first 5 min blowing air with one hand (as if to distract) and texting with the other. Then there was some big dude sitting waiting talking to this guy who was texting. They were swearing quite a bit. F&$& this, that S%#* was crazy at that club. The girls at this club are way more crazy than that club. Then the big guy left and came back with some pork rines and what looked like a tall boy of Modelo wrapped in a paper bag. Not sure if it was but he was doing a good job of keeping it covered at the rim so no one could see the can. Srsly!? I have been coming to this shop since it opened in 2014, and I love the shop, yes some days its very busy and wait time might be an hour or less but hey that's what you should expect wherever you go on the weekend. The wait is worth it due to getting a great cut, I can't speak for all the barbers there, but Randall always has my hair on point. I love the atmosphere of the shop and I even took my 1-year old son there for his first haircut and Randall took the time to cut his hair the way I wanted. Just come by and try it out. read more

The 4 stars is only because there tends to be a high turnaround with the barbers and there's a slight chance you might get a guy who isn't all that up to par on his cuts. If you want a terrible haircut, I seriously recommend coming here. If you see a man with glasses, STAY AWAY. I warn you stay away, because he will most likely make your hair way too short, uneven, and possibly cut you. As of now, I'm forced to find another barbershop so they can just give me a buzzcut. First of all I'm not reviewing the Barber named Freddy who gave me a completely awesome haircut. But this "barbershop" isn't a barbershop at all. I should have paid the extra $12 and went to hawleywood's. Anyway i did like that they had ESPN on the TV but I feel like should have been music playing. There is a sign on the wall that says "please no "foul language" in the barbershop" are you f*cking kidding me? If a man can't go into a barbershop and be himself why do you call it a barbershop? I think most people have enough sense to know when to watch what they say... Perhaps it's because there is a female working in the place. I don't know... Finally, if you are looking for a TRUE barbershop DO NOT go to Mt ZION BARBERSHOP! it's more of a hair studio trying to be a barbershop that fell far short. however; the price is right and I did get one of the best haircuts I've ever got.
