With barbers charging $60 to $120 for a regular cut it's nice to come to a place when you can get a quality cut for a reasonable price. Jack the owner is a good dude and really cares about people. My husband and I were walk-ins on Saturday and we both got our hair cut within 20 minutes. Barbers were friendly. Our cuts were $19 each (prices have gone up from the pictures that were posted). My barber was amazing! I was hesitant at getting it cut at a barber shop (I had surgery in August where they shaved my head and told me right before the surgery; I had long hair before). I explained my situation to her and showed her some pictures of what I wanted. She was very understanding and gave me a super cute cut! I've been here before and it was 5 star. The owner is talented and a nice guy. I'm older but was wanting a younger cut. I was sent down the line of barbers as the owner was backed up and busy. Trying to help me get in and out. I wish I would have waited. The man cutting my hair said he understood what I wanted, and he tried hard to find it. But I'm set back until the next cut to try for it again. The barber I had DID try to understand and get it the way I hoped, but something lost in the transaction. I've been coming to this spot since it opened 2019. JACK THE OWNER of the barbershop was super welcoming when I would pass by walking around the shopping center. I had already had a barber at the time.I was curious so I walked into the shop. Wow, it looked so cool with the HB decor with an old school minimal barbershop feel. The shop has soft jazz or lounge music, that is very relaxing, playing in the background. I got stood up at my regular barbershop spot and was mad so I took that opportunity to give JACK a shot.....Been a loyal customer since and the rest is history. I really didn't want to type this review but I'm so livid. Went in to get my usual mid fade with a centimeter cut off the top. I come out with a high fade and horns for the corner of my line up. I usually don't let barbers cut my line up Bc it's not straight. But he (don't know his name) said he would clean me up, after he's done his work he shows me and I didn't know what to say. I just told him what happened with the clean up. His response was that he cut my baby hairs so both corners could match. I just paid, sucked it up and walked out. The sides are usually not cut so short at that part of my head. I look like I got 2/3 of my hair cut and decided to leave the middle. I'm just debating on going a 3 all around or wearing a hat for the next two weeks. I will post photos how my hair usually is vs how it is now. Been a good day and no one has reached out. Hey there neighbors, friends and yelpers, Jack the owner is a true Gentlemen for sure! My apologies to our Barber we didn't get his name today but he was very sweet. Jack treats you like a true friend almost family... he's very welcoming and I appreciate he took the time to chit chat with me and as he does with all his customers. He makes you really feel welcomed. I have been cutting my sons hair since the pandemic shutdown lol thanks you tube and thank goodness we were on a stay at home order... also right before the shutdown our original barber who my husband and son had went to for almost 9 years moved away. Finding this place was a true blessing! It's super clean, mask is worn, awesome social distancing, offers mask for customers, great open space and air flow in this establishment is very refreshing! Awesome barber shop! The place I had been going to in HB for more than 10 years closed so I had to find a new place. Heard good things about Gentlemen Jack's so I gave them a try. No waiting on my recent visits, just walked in and immediately got seated. Explained the cut I wanted, and walked out 30 min later with exactly the cut I described. Kewlio shop ... Im on the other side of HB but decided to venture over and check out this shop. Im glad I did. He is waiting on a sign so its a little tricky to find, once I found the parking is plenty and the shop is roomy. Very open and nice inside, comfortable and clean. Jack is a nice guy, friendly with good energy. His uncle is working there too and gave me a good hair cut. Nice big TVs for waiting and some kewlio historic HB photos too. I wanted a fade with a 1 faded to 1/2 then trim the top .. he saves my head on one side all the way to the part in other words no part just shaved .. but fades the other side ... if I wanted that I would say shave the sides to zero .. too late to do anything about .. this guy does not follow instructions at all does the opposite .. I would highly recommend this place to anyone as there service is top notch. Arrived late Saturday morning and there was no line. I believe my barbers name was Nam (I apologize if I got it wrong), but he was very attentive and asked and how I would like my hair, confirming multiple times before started cutting away. I can say one of the most frustrating parts of getting a haircut is a barber who doesn't confirm or let's you finish describing how you like your hair and then starts cutting because they think they know what you want, this was not the case here. They do a decent job with directions. If I show them a picture they can get close; however, I had asked the younger barber to not cut the back of my hair too short or else it'll stick up. Told him him to use his better judgement basically and then couldn't remember to do that. My hair's not even long. It's average and thin. read more
