The Chicken Liver Pate which was luxuriously smooth, and perfectly seasoned, served with a crostini baguette The Chicken Wings are incredibly crispy outside while remaining tender and juicy inside, with a coating that balances sweet and spicy flavors beautifully. The Garlic Prawns are cooked to perfection--plump and tender with a garlicky, buttery sauce that begs for extra bread to soak it up. The Collard Greens with Bacon are fresh and well-seasoned, a vibrant and flavorful complement to the richer dishes. Those who know me, know that I'm a tough Greens critic but these definitely passed the test! The service seemed ok, but our server was very particularly over the top. I got the steak as it seemed like a good way to judge a new place. I will never ever get the steak there again. Southern comfort food in industrial setting with an urban flair. Came here for dinner with 4 other friends on a Friday evening around 8 and there was no wait. Reservations can be made in advance with Yelp. The area is spacious and good for big groups, but the seating upstairs may be too loud if there's a DJ. Credit cards accepted. Street parking available. There are some vegetarian options. We ordered the vegan mac and cheese and the fried tofu for appetizers to split. As a non-vegan, the max and cheese still had a nice creaminess and good flavor. The tofu came with a sweet chili sauce that can be made spicier if you eat the peppers it comes with. For my entree, I had the fried chicken which came with a generous helping of coleslaw and a toasty cornbread. There were three pieces of chicken and it was juicy with good breading. Either way, when I left, there were plenty of seats/tables, even out in the front. So... I don't know why I felt so rushed when someone kept checking in on us. Drink: definitely the Doma is my fav! It's citrusy and rimmed with tajin. Major yum!! Dish: definitely always will get a serving of bone marrow. As my friend stated, you can totally tell the citrusy oil infused with the marrow. At 8:45pm -- with the restaurant closing at 10 -- our server announces he's only taking drink orders first. Drinks finally arrive, and then he rudely tells everyone not to change seats because it's "easier to track who ordered what." Excuse me? We're paying customers, not kindergarteners. If I want to walk down to talk to my friend, I will. Do I need to raise my hand to use the bathroom too? By 9:15, he finally takes our food order. Fifteen minutes later, he comes back to announce the kitchen is closing and that if we want anything else, we need to order immediately. Meanwhile, we still haven't even gotten appetizers. My husband's steak comes out rare-- not what her ordered- and of course, with the kitchen closed, they couldn't fix it. I parked right next to the restaurant and got my window smashed while dining here... such a terrible experience. The restaurant is super eccentric with lots of mannequins, taxidermy and crazy art pieces. I love that the dishes are shareable and so many options to choose from. The alcoholic drinks were SO delicious. I ordered Beef Bone Marrow, Beef Carpaccio, No Cheese "Mac N Cheese", Garlic Prawns, Mussels and One Pound Ribeye Steak. The Beef Bone Marrow was delicious on toast, so buttery and loved the pickles to balance the dish. I also really like how the No Cheese "Mac N Cheese was made of butternut squash, it was so tasty and loved the concept. The Garlic prawns were HUGE and perfectly poached in butter. The appetizers and sharing dishes tasted way better than the entree dishes. The Mussels came out raw which we had to send back. The One Pound Ribeye Steak looked better than it tasted. I really didn't like how they put the steak on top of the bed of fries which was soaked with blood from my medium-rare steak. This is definitely a great place to grab delicious drinks with friends! It was recommended to me by multiple people for dates, girls night out, birthdays, etc., so when I was planning a small girls night out with two other friends, Mua came to mind immediately. I made a reservation for dinner Saturday night at 7 pm through Yelp, which requires a credit card. In hindsight, because the space is so big, there were plenty of tables available and I probably didn't need the reservation. They have a huge cocktail menu as well as a good selection of beer, wine, and other spirits. The food menu is straightforward and only takes up one page. We ordered the burrata to share for $20, which comes with a bunch of veggies such as portobello, zucchini, and bell pepper on the side in addition to the baguette. I shared the one pound rib eye steak ($60) with my other friend, and we asked for it medium rare. It was pretty good, though the fatty pieces were all concentrated on my half, and came with a whole mountain of fries. Definitely meant to be shared! My vegetarian friend wanted to try their veggie CBQ burger, but unfortunately they were out of it, so she switched to the no cheese 'mac n cheese' ($11). They offer a good selection of vegetarian appetizers and small plates as well. They have a separate dessert menu. We shared the bread pudding for $12. It came out hot, which we weren't expecting, but it was really good especially with the raspberry sauce on top. Service was amazing.
