Our experience at Ceron Kitchen (CR) was mediocre overall. The standout feature of the experience was waiting staff who were all patient, attentive, courteous and friendly while remaining professional. Unfortunately, the food was not more than OK. My partner ordered the chicken breast that came with a sort gravy on top with a side potato purée. I ordered the filet mignon with potato purée that was loaded with bacon, chives, sour cream and blue cheese. Both of our orders came with a sparse selection of 3-4 stalks of asparagus that had some yellowish color. It didn't have the freshest taste. My filet mignon was rather small in size, not much flavor and the potato puree could be something better when made at home (I.e. nothing outstanding). The calamari and gnocchi appetizers were OK but not more elevated than what we could get at a conventional diner. The presentation was somewhat reminiscent of cafeteria food. We were disappointed though still finished our meal. The atmosphere at CK is lit just right for romance without being too dark, completely clean, relaxed yet unsurprisingly quite empty for a Saturday night. The value of the meal was not reflective of the high rating that attracted us to CK in the first place. We likely will pay what we did for a better overall dinner experience elsewhere and consider trying out CK for brunch. read more

Well, we had to go back to this place to see if in fact it warranted the four stars I gave it last time and they did not disappoint. Once again we made reservations just to make it easy to get in. The place wasn't that busy as well. The Manager Karina (I believe was her name) sat us down right away. We ordered to start the Calamari and Gnocci. The Calamari was delicious again and the Gnocci was unbelievable. It was cooked perfect, light and tender, and the sauce was outstanding. For entrees we ordered the Lamb Chops, the Filet, Seafood Pasta, Pork Scallopini, and the Cheeseburger. Lamb Chops-Cooked Perfect again just like last time. Filet-was also cooked perfect (med rare), the sauce on it tasted fantastic. Seafood Pasta-Noodles cooked al dente, plenty of seafood in it, and the flavor was also great. Pork Scallopini-Mashed Potatoes light and fluffy, the brussel sprouts were different but really good, the pork was cooked perfect as well, very tender and the sauce on it was delicious. Cheeseburger-Cooked med rare which was great, plenty of meat ratio, along with the fixings on it. The fries were awesome. For dessert we had the Banoffee Tart and the Creme Brulee. Both of them were very tasty, light, and delicious. This time they added a %20 tip to the bill which is fine we normally give more than that anyway but it would have been nice to know that the tip was included and since we used a credit card, they added a fee for that which they didn't say anything about that as well. I had incredible service the first time I ate here! Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. The food was good but overpriced for what it was, especially the appetizers. I did like that the kitchen could easily accommodate a vegetarian or vegan and make a custom dish. The drinks were tasty but not special enough or tasty enough to justify $18 for a cocktail. My pomegranate margarita tasted like a normal margarita. I wish the flavors were more pronounced and also wish they had a happy hour menu! Celebrated my 35th birthday dinner here and I enjoyed every bit of it. My boyfriend actually found this place and some of our friends lived nearby so it was very convenient. This restaurant had a really good ambiance. I really like the semi dark ambiance to it with nice little lamps on the table. The service here was amazing. From when we arrived until we left. We were given champagne to cheers with our friends compliments of the restaurant. Shout out to our server MIGUEL he was amazing. Gave us enough time to looked through the menu and explained the menu in detail to us. All the servers were very attentive and made sure they cleared our table accordingly. We ordered a couple of appetizers. The sliders, oysters and calamari. All the appetizers was really good. The calamari was cooked perfectly, the oysters were fresh and had different sauces included. The wagyu sliders was actually really good and the quality of meat was on point. For our entree, I got the rack of lamb, my boyfriend and his friend got the NY steak and his girlfriend got the duck. I'm not even sure where to begin. We finished all the food. My rack of lamb was seasoned well and cooked well. It was definitely cooked to my liking. My boyfriend and his friend also enjoyed their NY steak which I also tasted and I really enjoyed it because it was also cooked well and it was very tasty. The butter it came with as well as the veggies. Not everyone likes lamb so the NY would be my next recommendation for steaks. What I was surprised with was the duck breast. We all tried our friends food and we almost finished her plate. I have never had duck and I'm glad I tried it here cause it was really good. It didn't taste bad at all. It was seasoned very well. I also brought in my own cake and after dinner they served it to us with the candle and even cut the cake for us. One of the best restaurants I've tried in awhile. I went to Ceron with a group of people on a Tuesday night. I got there a little early and had the bar to myself. I didn't try a drink off their menu because I saw a bottle of rhubarb and strawberry gin on the shelf so I asked the bartender to make me a martini from that gin. It was strong, but delightful to drink. If you need liquid courage, that may be a good one to go to. Once my friends arrived we were promptly seated (we did have a reservation, but probably didn't need one that day). We ordered a few dishes. I was pleasantly surprised by how well the duck dish was cooked. I would definitely order again. Another friend ordered the lamb chops and they looked divine. Ceron is such a vibe, and the food here is hella good. The sliders and garlic prawns were the kind of appetizers I kept thinking about even after we left. I would literally come back just to order these two menu items. Another cool thing is their mocktail menu; they have a good amount of drinks for anyone who's sober or doesn't drink alcohol, and they're mixed SO well too! Everything we ordered tasted sooo good, like they really know how to season their food properly. Amazing food, great service, and a really luxe atmosphere. Excelllennttttttt!!! Definitely try this place if you are looking for an upscaled experience! The venue is gorgeous and open, and has patio doors that open up. It's a really nice vibe and makes you feel like you're somewhere else. The staff is super helpful and professional. It's like they were trained by the best! The way plates were set and presented to they way they poured glasses of wine, you can tell they care about the craft and technique! Now the food! Phenomenal! The crab cakes were cooked to perfection and weren't cold on the inside at all. They had a nice crumbly texture to them and they melted in your mouth. The lobster fettuccini was perfect, the sauces mixed into together, and the amount of lobster they give you is enough for 2! The filet mignon was a little on the drier side, but still well seasoned especially with their hollandaise! The desserts were also top notch! Yes!! Try this place and hear's why. Tucked into a small strip in Alameda, this spot is a gem. The space is beautiful--clean, stylish, and surprisingly calming. Service was quiet but attentive, which made the whole experience feel effortless. The food was the real star. We started with the Brussels sprouts (light, crispy, and perfectly cooked), calamari (well‑seasoned and not heavy at all), and warm biscuits with whipped honey butter--so good. The clam chowder stole the show for us: poured tableside, rich but not heavy, and full of flavor. For entrées, the seafood pasta was fantastic, the lobster rigatoni was delicious (just wished for a bit more lobster), the ribeye was cooked perfectly, and the lamb--while tasty--could've used a touch more time. Very tasty clam chowder - thick, rich, and creamy; not watered down like I've had elsewhere. Hubby really enjoyed the wagyu sliders as well. Birthday brunch outing. Overall everything was delicious. I did expect the crab cakes to be closer to the size of the English muffin. It looked like half of the muffin was just egg w/ sauce. Also, the egg on the hash wasn't running like expected either. Our reservation grew by one last minute and the staff easily accommodated the change. The giant stick of butter wouldn't even melt on my steak it was so cold. They charge like it's Las Vegas and execute like Dennys. Just left feeling very unsatisfied for the amount we spent. $15 cheese biscuit dish is three quarter sized biscuits. Literally one bite. So we got three bites for $15. That was ridiculous. They were good though. Yummy three bites and the butter they served with it was remarkable. The Parmesan tempura Brussels sprouts. Fabulous idea and the taste of the fried part was great. However, under the fry was a very unseasoned and, what appeared to be, a boiled Brussels sprout. It was not a good combo. I ended up stripping the Brussels and just eating the fried part. The pesto gnocchi was good. I would get that again. I would be reluctant to return. I will say the space is nice and our server was kind and attentive. I made reservations here for my birthday on Valentine's Day weekend with my 3 friends. This place is HUGE but to my surprise it's hardly busy. The hostess was amazing, but our server didn't seem very warm. Maybe we annoyed him asking him to take photos of us. It was nice they both wished me Happy Birthday since I made that note on the reservations. It was brunch and it was hard finding the breakfast beverage menu...which was tucked in the middle of the drink menu past all the alcoholic beverages. We told our server that we will be doing family style dining and ordered: MAIN LOBSTER TAIL & AVOCADO BENEDICT - $32 Country Potatoes, Toasted English Muffin & Hollandaise. This was good and the country potatoes also had bell peppers and onions. A solid dish with a single hunk of the lobster on each English muffin. The quality of the food does not match the price!! Crab cakes did not taste fresh and for 3 tiny flat pieces, save your money. The avocado crab salad was decent. I was excited for the lobster roll!! Disappointed, I couldn't eat it. Definitely not a traditional "lobster roll ", no chunks of lobster, rather it was chopped up like a crab salad. I should have looked at the pictures of it per usual but I didn't, my fault. My half of the bill was $80 and I was not satisfied, still hungry. Also, the service was slow on a Sunday afternoon. If you're looking for some fabulous brunch or lunch options stop here! I also had been here once before for a party which was hosted on the top story. They had fantastic service and amazing food! Here is what we had shared some delicious first appetizers: Buttermilk Chive Biscuits: $15 (4/5) comes with 3 (it's a little bit small) but lathered with the honey butter on the flaky biscuit was just right Brussel Sprouts: $18 (5/5) This is not your regular brussels sprouts but hyped up and covered in tempura and dipped with this amazing chipotle aioli (its not too spicy but paired perfectly with each bite) Butcher block: $29 (4/5) Fancy pancy board with your spread of pork cheek wrapped rabbit terrine (sounds interesting but it was quite tasty), duck liver pate (can't go wrong with this), and pork rilletes with go with toasty baguettes. For brunch I got: Lobster Benedict: $32 (5/5) The lobster tail was cooked perfectly smothered with creamy hollandaise sauce on top of sliced avocado and toasted English muffin. You get 2 of these and a side of potatoes. They also have a vast cocktail/drinks menu too. We opted for bottles of Daou Rose which complimented our delicious meal. First time coming to Ceron Kitchen to celebrate a niece's 50th Birthday for a party of 14! The food was amazingly fantastic! For starters, which they call Firsts, we had the Buttermilk Chive Biscuits accompanied by a Honey Butter Spread and a round of Calamari Frittos. Hmmm mmm good! Then for the Mains, our choices ranged from the Seafood Fettuccine to the Ribeye Steak to the New York Strip Loin to the Ahi Tuna Tartare to the Schmitz Ranch Burger loaded with bacon, avocado and cheese. The dessert menu is a must go-to. I maybe diabetic but my wife and I indulged ourselves in their Chocolate Silk Pie. Our main server, Juan, along with 2 others (sorry, I don't have their names) deserved a rating of 3 F's. Ok now, it's not what you're thinking!! Juan & his co-servers were fantastic, friendly and fun. I thought this restaurant was fine dining at its best but with that feeling of comfort and relaxation. Came in for my aunts birthday and everything was a 10/10. From the atmosphere to the service, and especially the food. They actually have a parking lot which I didn't realize at first because I pulled into the front, and thought there was only street parking. So don't stress yourself, just go to the parking lot in the back...Appetizer wise we had the crab cakes and the buttermilk chive biscuits. The only bad thing I have to say about both is I wish it came with more on the plate. Portions are small so you should have plenty of room for dinner but my goodness they were delicious. Didn't want it to end. For entrees my husband ordered the penne bolognese. Amazing flavors and cooked to perfection. I got the rib eye, medium rare. It was perfectly cooked and juicy. What an amazing ambiance to come celebrate a birthday. The decor and seating arrangements are fantastic. I loved all their creative stem and table setting which looks great. We met the chief executive chef Juan, Who was really friendly and helpful to guide us through our meals preparation and dietary restrictions. We dined here at 5pm on 07/08/2025 with a party of 8 people. This restaurant has plenty of seating, and a convenient free parking lot in the rear. We had a 5 star experience. The service was extremely attentive during the many hours that we took over there space. The food was amazing and delicious. Our table shared a few appetizers including the Calamari, Tuna Tartare and the tempura brussel sprouts. All of those were amazing. For my entree, I had the Filet Mignon Tortellini, which had a delicious mushroom marsala sauce. I shared a tres leches cake for dessert. To be honest, this was my last favorite item, as it was not as "milk forward" as many other tres leches cakes I have had. However, this was overall a super experience, and I would definitely return here again. read more

Place opens at 10am and was empty...it's unfortunate as the interior is beautiful and aesthetically gorgeous (Modern Mission style) from the former business (Otaez Mexican Restaurant). *sigh* The vibe almost transports you to dining in the City without going across the bridge and circling for parking. The menu is creative and interesting so plenty of items to try. Options for brunch: eggs Benedict, chicken and waffles, simple breakfast with coffee cake and sandwiches. I opted for the French dip sandwich which was presented well and enjoyed the accompanying potato salad. Though good I probably wouldn't order again and try a seafood dish . Friends enjoyed their dishes and what really finished off the meal was the chocolate silk dessert. Light chocolate mousse with a chocolate-crust with varying textures of chocolate gelato, candied hazelnut and chocolate tuile. Our server/host was the Owner/Executive Chef Juan Jaquez - very welcoming, engaging, and mentioned he formerly was head chef at Paradiso, San Leandro for 15 years....i knew the food was different after the pandemic and time he left to open Ceron! I really enjoyed the food when he was there and will have to return to Ceron to try their dinner service. Service was efficient and attentive even after more people arrived. Place is a great venue for a special occasion and meet up with friends. I'd definitely return to try some of their appetizers and eyeing the Berkshire Pork chop. Everything looks delicious albeit pricing on the higher side with like spots. Nevertheless, I'll give it a try if Juan is in charge of dinner service! :) Parking lot in back with metered street parking. The amount of seating is a bit much too. The room feels large and drafty. If they partitioned it off and made it feel more exclusive and intimate it would create a better date night vibe. Came here for dinner and ordered the lamb, ribeye, crudo and Brussel sprouts. Sat on the outside patio which was nice because we were able to watch the warriors game. We ordered medium rare for the lamb and steak and it came out rare. I don't send food back, (we ended up having it for lunch the next day and was able to cook it down to medium rare). You have to try Ceron Kitchen in Alameda! I had always wanted to check it out but never got around to it until now, and I honestly wish I had gone sooner. The food was outstanding. I do not get impressed easily, but every dish our party ordered exceeded my expectations. I also loved the restaurant's ambiance. From the moment we walked in, it felt both cozy and classy. We ordered the crab cakes, ribeye, penne bolognese, seafood fettuccine, Ceron chicken breast, and duck breast. Every dish exceeded expectations in both flavor and quality. By the end of the meal, every plate was completely finished, which rarely happens for us. Of course, we had to try dessert and it lived up to the same high standard. We sampled the banoffee tart, Paris Brest, vanilla bean crème brûlée, and tiramisu. Each one was excellent and the presentation was just as impressive as the taste. I only wish I had taken more photos! To top it all off, our server was wonderful -- attentive and very helpful with recommendations and accommodations. The restaurant itself is really fancy and spacious, definitely one of the nicer looking restaurants in Alameda. Now to the menu. The dinner menu was pretty small and it was pretty expensive for what they were serving. Most entrees were over $50. We ordered duck liver, Brussels sprouts, calamari grotto, and bone marrow & beef tartare for appetizers, and 2 tomahawks and a duck breast for entrees. Duck Liver 2/5: I really wanted to like this, but the jam was overpowering and I can only taste sweet. it did have a beautiful presentation though. Brussels sprouts 4/5: I have never had fried Brussels sprouts and they were pretty good. It was crunchy but not too doughy. Calamari Fritto 3/5: pretty average, nothing too exciting. Bone Marrow & Beef tartare 3/5: pretty big bone marrow. Wish the bread was better toasted. The tartare could use a bit more salt. Tomahawk 3/5: pretty average. Duck breast 4/5: I was pleasantly surprised with this entree. Duck was very tender and flavorful. It paired wonderfully with the mushroom. LOVED the fried mushroom, perfect breading! The food was mostly delicious. Seafood fettuccine was good and creamy, but a little too thick n creamy. The ribeye was delicious, perfectly cooked with delicious mash potatoes and mushrooms. The starters were also perfectly prepared and tasty. Lastly, we ordered Bloody Marys and mimosa. The Bloody Mary was ok as the juice itself was not too complex in flavors, it tasted salty, mimosa was good. Ambience was nice , very spacious and comfortable space. Something that is important to me in a restaurant is not just the quality of the food, but also the service. I'm disappointed to say that there is much improvement on both of those levels. I hate to say this, but the food was terrible. It did not look like the photos that are posted online at all. As well as it was incredibly greasy. The host was very unprofessional when checking us into our reservation and when showing us to our table. Our server did the best that he could, however, it couldn't make up for the bad food. Ceron Kitchen is another wonderful restaurant choice in Alameda. This city's got plenty of local places serving up some tasty grub. How do they all stay in business? Anyways Ceron Kitchen looks good both outside and inside. Nice size parking lot. Outdoor dining and indoor dining available. We dined inside. My sister smartly made reservations ahead of time. Thank goodness because by the time we left they were busy busy busy! Our party of about 13 were the first ones at the restauarant. The place looked terrific!! So clean and charming!! I believe their menu is constantly changing so some of the food that I mention may not be available when you are here. Most everything I tried, though, tasted really good!! My entree choice was the Niman Ranch Burger. It was a good 4 star burger. My expectations may have been too high. I expected the burger to taste better than my favorite hometown burger spot, but Ceron Kitchen's fell short of that. Still good though! I wish that I had chosen one of the many other entrees available that evening. So many of the others in our group were raving about their entrees!!!! Definitely patronize Ceron Kitchen! I've been here twice, once for my sister's birthday and the latest time where my boyfriend took us here for our anniversary! The ambiance here is excellent and very sexy. The servers here are also very nice! However, I wish there were more goodies for celebrations. I was disappointed in that aspect and felt like it was any typical dinner. However we still had a good time because the food was excellent! The wagyu tartare was good but it really should come with more than 2 breads! The star of the show was the pork chop! Me and my boyfriend was blown away by how delicious this dish was! The sauce, the apples, were paired wonderfully. My boyfriend's steak was also great! read more

I have to take a moment to share how AMAZING my wedding reception was at Ceron Kitchen. From the very beginning, the communication with Juan was seamless, professional, and reassuring. Planning a sit-down dinner for a large group--where everyone is served at the same time--can be stressful, but Juan and his team executed it flawlessly. We curated a menu that included appetizers, cocktails, and main courses, and every detail was handled with care. The bartender and waitstaff were exceptional--attentive, warm, and efficient. All meals were served on time and hot, with consistent, high-quality presentation and flavor. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how elevated the food, drinks, and service were. Took and introduced more of our friends to Ceron today. I should get a commission, lol. And our friends loved it! I offered to take them to another nice restaurant for our next get together, but they said they wanted to come back here again. As you can see from our first experience, we had such a great time. And the good news is that we are BACK to 5 stars. Quality/Quantity - Got lucky again, did not know it was Alameda Restaurant week! Prix Fix dinner available, see picture of menu. Biscuits - This was good! But 3 small tiny pieces... The butter was actually better than the biscuits, LOL. Lobster Fettuccine - Wow, I mean wow. This was really good, and a very generous serving of lobster, see both dishes. Vanilla Bean Crème Brûlée - Everyone had different opinions of this dessert. But it was perfect for me, with a good ratio of custard and burnt creme. It was very sweet though, but isn't that to be expected? American Wagyu Beef Sliders - Just okay. Pappardelle Frutti Di Mare - My current favorite noodles are pappardelle, but you already know that because you are following me, lol. This dish threw me off, it was more of a cioppino. I expected a "dryer" dish, less soupy. I should have paid more attention to the menu as it did state "tomato broth." It was nice to get complimentary bread to soak up all that broth. Also got complimentary champagne as we were celebrating our friend's anniversary, thank you. Other menus - Lunch, brunch, wine (see wine cellar picture), etc. Atmosphere - Ceron has construction experience and you can tell from the beautifully detailed build of this place. The "bones" were not changed from Otaez, but definitely upgraded. Ambiance - Upscale, romantic, dimmed lighting, etc. See bathroom picture also. I even like the ceiling tiles. See pictures. Full bar - The bar area is more lit and lively. Nice to have two different ambiances in the same location. See pictures. You know it's a classy place if they are willing to light the heat lamps in both the front and rear doors without having outdoor guests, LOL. See pictures. The bar area is enclosed against the elements; this used to be an open space. Indoor and bar seating available. Open 7 days a week from 10am or 11am to 9pm or 10pm. See Yelp or website. Private parking lot. Service - Regular door greeter was probably on break, the owner came to greet and help us. He seemed like a very hard worker! Owner, Vicent, even came and hung out with us for a few minutes, sharing about his new restaurant on Park St. Might go there Monday. Samantha was good, very engaging. She commented a few times how happy we were and non stop laughing. Hope we were NOT too loud. BTW, another shout out to our first visit here, Jesus was the perfect team member, so professional and attentive! Price - $220 + generous tip. Owner Comment - Congrat to Vicent Ceron and Executive Chef Juan Jaquez. Chef Juan Jaquez is from Paradiso in San Leandro, one of my other favorite restaurants. read more

Boom, fantastic. It started out with great service and continued from Jesus, shout out, you were great! Onto the food, we had the calamari, light and not greasy, bomb. We did splitsy between my wife and I, the pork scallopini and the seafood fettuccine, also bomb. My favorite was def the fettuccine, not heavy and had great flavor. We ended the night with the churro's , light fluffy caramel drizzle with some ice cream, the perfect finish. Every dish came out pretty quick within ordering which is props to the kitchen staff. I would definitely recommend and would go again!!! read more
