Lately, I have been hooked on the grilled chicken plate. It includes a generous portion of flavorful and juicy chicken, rice, silky refried beans, tortillas, and a small side salad. It was so good, I went two days in a row! I also love the fish tacos, the nachos, and the crispy grilled chicken tacos. All are delicious! The salsa bar is great, too. They offer both indoor and outdoor dining. Service is friendly and quick. The restaurant is always very clean. Taqueria La Plaza used to be located on Sutter St. in Concord.

Okay, why did I only order a Birria Beef Burrito here? Because I already tried this menu at the Local Kitchens @ Palo Alto, and I already know I won't like the tacos. I've been following the Local Kitchens brand for over 2 years, and I have been to every location in the Bay Area ( including Davis and Roseville). So the Local Kitchens app said my food was ready in about 20-mins. So I go in, the young lady greeted me, and handed me my order. Napkins and utensils are at the counter. I always pickup my own order, so my review is based on "fresh from the kitchen" food. This Birria Beef Burrito weighs about 19-oz, and is about 8" in length. Recently, I've been ordering burritos from Mexican food trucks in Oakland's Fruitvale District. Those burritos are slightly heavier and 1-2" larger. But what's significantly different is the filling. My burrito from Local Kitchens had a balanced filling of rice, beans, meat, and salsa. It was quite spicy, and didn't need any of the complimentary salsa. Price $13.99. When you order on the Local Kitchen's App, the menu has options for removing or adding ingredients. It was a tasty burrito, and was easy to eat. Items on the Nopalito Taqueria menu include: Tacos, Bowls, Burritos, Sides, and Veggie options. Local Kitchens @ Lafayette has no indoor dining room. It has some outside tables, and a small parking lot. No drive-thru service. The status board can tell you if your order is ready. Local Kitchens is a micro food hall. You can order in person on electronic keypads, the app, or thru delivery apps.

I placed a phone order for a REGULAR al pastor burrito earlier. The amount of meat was miniscule compared to the beans and rice BTW. When I got there they gal read the tag that had my phone order for a REGULAR burrito. I was charged $17 but with tax it was over $18. I called later in the day and the lady on the phone said the regular is 12.99. Im lactose intolerant so I don't do dairy which the super has. Anyways I find this business practice repulsive and will not be returning. I hope this review gets views and reconsider patronizing at this establishment. Huge thumbs down. They don't seem to value customers. I called them after finding out they did me dirty overcharging me. The employee told me the owner/management was out of town. I reached out to them on instagram in attempt to inform ownership/management of what is happening. The person responding on instagram told me they are out of town. I never got a follow up from them. Who knows if they actually investigated what happened because I didn't get a follow up. I could care less about the extra few dollars they took. If they have an employee intentionally overcharging then they need to correct it. It's simple as that. All the info is in the photo I included in the review if they choose to investigate.
