Burger and two tacos. Yum!!!
Michael H.

I eat here regularly at Side Gate Brewery. I am never disappointed. Tacos are terrific. I highly recommend the shrimp and ribeye.

Fish Tacos, the slaw is amazing!
Genoa D.

Charlie's Food Trailer had some great food to go along with our IPAs from SideGate. The service was helpful and friendly. We decided on a burger for my niece, who definitely enjoyed it! Fresh chuck beef, nicely toasted bun and ketchup on the side. My mom opted for the Ribeye tacos which my 2 year old niece devoured. And for my partner and I fish and shrimp tacos. The slaw was delicious, and topped with chmiichurri vinaigrette. I would excited to see Charlie's Food truck again!!

The food truck on site

Found this food truck while grabbing a beer at 5 Suns Brewery in Martínez the other day. Looked clean, food choices ranged from tacos to burgers, steak & chicken sammies, so let's call it American food styles. Hubby order a sweet potato taco, which I thought I was ordering for him sweet potato fries what a surprise when a small portion of a sweet potato came out on a tortilla or sorts. I ordered a chicken sammie that came with bacon, lettuce & tomato, also cheese which I opted out of. The chicken sammie was done well, the bacon was nice & thick, the roll was fresh; overall the flavors were exactly what you were eating - chicken, bacon, tomato & lettuce on a roll. Hubby's taco was small, as in gone within 2-3 bites. He said it was tasty, but thought the serving size for the price was small, which I would agree with. In short, nothing outrageous, basic flavors, prices a bit high.

The Shrimp Taco was Delicious! 10/10!! It was only $5 and honestly filled me up pretty quickly! Highly recommend! Instagram: @sash.foodie

The taste is pretty good (because of the sauce) but I feel like they can do more to the sandwich for it being $23 dollars. Most of the meat was fat and there wasn't a lot of meat compared to the sandwich itself. For this reason I would not order this again. Very few onion slices and just lettuce.

CHARGE A HOT FOOD FEE FOR what seemed like a pre-cooked burger that was not even warm enough to melt the cheese.
Bri W.

First of all, the burger tasted like it was pre-cooked. I've never seen anyone charge a "hot food" fee for my barely warm cheeseburger without the cheese melted on it. I asked for it to be "medium rare on the rare side" and cashier asked me to repeat what I said. On top of that, I left a $5 cash tip. Wherever I go, I've never been told that there's a "standard credit card fee" after the fact on my receipt. And the restaurants I go to, do not charge a credit card fee. I've been to restaurants and businesses that have signs that say they have a minimum charge for using a credit card. I didn't see a note posted about a credit card fee tonight. If possible, Charlie's deserves below 0 on a scale from 1-5 stars. Not only was my cheeseburger not very pleasant, my friend's chicken sandwich was blah also. In fact, we had to dash to in-n-out to fuel our hunger after eating food at Charlie's. Customer service is an F- and Charlie's ethics in response to my brief feedback via their receipt experience tasted worse than their cheeseburger well-done, not melted cheddar cheeseburger. See photos for their subpar customer service response. Never again Charlie's. In response to your response, if you were an honest company, you would post under your prices "additional charge for credit card" AND a "hot food fee." The burger wasn't even warm enough to melt the cheese. NEXT!!!! Look at the photos. THIS CUSTOMER WILL HAVE THE OPTION TO NEVER PURCHASE FROM CHARLIE'S AGAIN.

$20 Ribeye sandwich
Maria O.

My husband and I decided to share a sandwich while enjoying a beer at side gate brewery where this food truck regularly serves food and man it was such a disappointment. I'm mostly just mad at myself for thinking any sandwich is worth $20 but it's infuriating to know that it wasn't only ridiculously expensive but also disgusting. The meat was so tough I couldn't even eat it. It had undercooked bell peppers, lettuce and mayonnaise. That's it!!! $20!!!!!!

Tacos are the bomb and really should be their own food group. I had a craving for tacos that lasted, well, forever. So, when I was chilling in the beer garden of Calicraft, I was so happy to see this foodtruck here. I ordered 4 tacos to get a taste. The steak with chimi churri sauce, fish, mushroom, and pork belly. Each taco was reasonably priced and delicous! The pork belly was my favorite. It was one nice piece of pork belly and had a tasty jicama slaw. My next favorite was the fish taco that had a nice piece of fish on it. The steak and mushroom ( in that order) were next in line of what I liked. Each taco came on a yummy yellow corn tortilla. The price point was good as well, about $4 / each. And of course, eating tacos and drinking beer go hand in hand. They take cc for payment. The order was done efficiently as well. You are given a small buzzer to know when your order is ready. So you can go back to your table and continue enjoying the beverages. Enjoy! Cheers and happy Yelping.

Baja Shrimp taco, Baja fish taco and trio of ribeye tacos
Donna S.

A beautiful day to go to Calicraft and Charlie's was the food truck du jour. We didn't have any trouble deciding on the trio of ribeye tacos. We got one of the fish tacos and one shrimp taco to round out the meal. The fish taco was delicious and fresh. It was topped with nice a crispy cabbage slaw. The shrimp taco was even better with a hint of mint (I think?) Whatever it was is was a surprising and delightful flavor. It had the same cabbage topping and the same light chipotle sauce to pull it all together. Now, on to those ribeye tacos. The ribeye was cooked perfectly, beautifully medium rare and tossed in a chimichurri sauce. We added a little chipotle Tabasco and, oh my goodness, those were delicious tacos. The tortilla was perfect, lightly fried (but not at all oily) to bring out the corn flavor and also help hold the taco together. I'm so glad we decided to check out the food truck. The prices were reasonable and the quality of the food was excellent. We can't wait for the next time!

I'm already excited for an opportunity to come back soon! I was told the tacos are a must, so of course I ordered a Chicken Tinga Tostada and Vampiro with steak. I also ordered a Watermelon Aguas Frescas. For the table we did an order of Guacamole with Pork Belly (first time ever trying this!) and Birria Grilled Cheese Bites. Something cool about ordering tacos here is upon ordering two, you can grab complimentary sides that include cactus, radishes, grilled onion, and beans. There's also the cutest bottles of hot sauce on the table for your meal. The service was quick and friendly, ambiance was fun and vibrant. Would be fun to come back for a marg at the bar. Seems like a vibe for that post-work moment. I noticed a special kiddo menu and breakfast menu. Also, they have a pretty cool Birria menu filled with fun items like Birria fries, flautas, pizza, ramen, and more! The grilled cheese bites were a great app to get an intro to what a full plate could look like. Super fresh and flavorful food, parking adjacent in small lot, and left with overall awesome feels.
