Most recently I came with my mom in March 2021 looking just for the suet. It is a cool store with lots of bird-centric products. I could easily see walking through the store just looking at everything, but the day we stopped we had frozen food in the car so had to make our trip quick. Workers are friendly and insightful in their interactions. We found the suet easily and the COVID-19 procedures were clearly communicated at the front of the store. Prices for the merchandise are fair. Products are artistically displayed in such a way that jump-starts the creative process for potential new items for the critters in the back yard. The store sign on the outside of the building makes the store visible from the street/parking lot. Parking is available in a large parking lot that is shared with a number of other businesses at the Lake Forest Park Town Centre. So depending on the day/time parking may or may not be easy to come by. All around fun and relatively hassle-free shopping experience. Oh, and Wild Birds Unlimited has a YouTube channel :).

There always seems to be a new excuse. Today's experience was the final straw. We had booked a bath, brushing, paw pad trim, and sanitary trim. After we arrived, we were told the groomer assigned to us couldn't complete the service because our dog's fur was "compacted" (not matted) and we'd have to reschedule with someone else. What didn't make sense is that the same groomer was apparently able to do the sanitary trim but somehow couldn't trim any other part of his body because of his coat. At this point, it feels like they look for reasons to avoid completing appointments. Every time we bring in our large dog, the staff seem visibly frustrated before the appointment even begins. If your salon isn't equipped or willing to work with large breeds, just be upfront about it instead of repeatedly canceling or making excuses. The staff haven't been welcoming, the salon appears consistently overbooked, and the customer experience has been incredibly disappointing. I can't recommend this location for grooming.

One of the mice I got, Lucky, my mom and sister got for me when they saw a person with a snake buying the mice for the snake... She only lived a few days after I got her. Some of the more specialty products, such as medicine and the syringes needed to give the rodents their medicine, we needed to go to more rodent-centric pet stores to get. The fish-related products I needed I could get here 9 times out of 10. Workers have been knowledgable and helpful in my experience. The parking lot is large and shared, that has not been a problem in my coming here.
