This is one of the few coffee places in Jim Thorpe that had the type of lattes we were looking for! The ambience was spooky and cool, the drink options were unique and the drinks themselves were tasty! I got the "Drought of Pyrus" drink which had pear, vanilla, ginger, cinnamon and sea salt. The milk was well steamed and the flavors were interesting and worked well together. It wasn't too sweet and it did not overwhelm me, I would probably come back to try out their other variety of flavors! The inside itself was also packed however they got us our drinks pretty quickly.

So they seemed to have removed every Harry Potter reference and replaced it with gothic motifs and I think that's understandable with how WB is trying to revamp their Harry Potter franchise but that's understandable. When I saw the map for the stores, they just labeled this place as Coffee Shop. But this place is still a magically awesome vibe. My wife got the Butterbrew (not butterbeer) Latte which tasted really good. I wanted something different from her so I got the Dark Phoenix, which was a chocolate latte with cayenne peppers and it was awesome for this unusually chilly raining (soon to be) summer day. The quiches were also awesomely delicious.

Cute coffee shop. Not sure if it's still called muggles mug? The sign is down and on the town app it is called mugglets mug. I had the iced butter beer latte and it was average. It cost about $8 for the 12oz and a water.

Muggles Mug leans into a Harry Potter theme with decor, movies, and a small menu of hot n cold Potter-themed espresso drinks. The line is long, drinks are okay, good for a comfy rest on a couch if you're lucky enough to nab a spot. Enjoyed my Phoenix drink w dark chocolate and cayenne.

LOVE this coffee shop. Whenever we visit the area, muggles mug is a must stop! We finally got to sit inside for a change because it wasn't crazy busy on the day we visited. My go to drink is the butter brew (hot).... Mmm so so good!

It was a bit tricky to find this place bc the sign was taken down and they were closed that day. We ended up going back the next day which was open and I was able to order my butterbrew latte which was super yummy. The reason for the lack of sign is that the business is going through rebranding and some fans of them came up with a new names that we liked like Corner Covenant or Brewhaha Cafe or Cafe aBrewing. Either way, a fun place to visit for your coffee needs.

This place was so stinkin cute. A true HP/magic lovers dream. I also really liked that the drinks were well balanced and intentional and not overly cloying. The theme supported the drinks and snacks but didn't overpower it. I asked for my drink slightly less sweet and they accommodated me easily. The staff was kind and quick. I got the Mandrake Maple and really liked the balance of flavors

Unique experience but beware it will be crowded on the weekends and during holiday time! My drink was on the sweeter side but still good nonetheless

Definitely over hyped. The coffee was okay but I've definitely had butter. They are pretty looking though!

Hard to find, lovely quiche and strong coffee. Customer service leaves something to be desired. Not really Harry Potter themed but does have a specialty latte menu with cute flavors

Popular coffee house. Small, quirky, cozy and dark. Had the hot chocolate, macchiato, Cappuccino and Brownie. All good, except nothing out of the ordinary. There are some references to Harry Potter, like the Deathly Hallow art. But if ur a Harry Potter fan and expect more one might be disappointed. Overall a decent coffee place that looks and feels different to one of the chains.

JIM THORPE, PA: We are honestly not sure of their actual name whether it is Mugglet's Mug or Muggle's Mug, but I think they are trying to keep it on the down-low/secret, kind of like platform nine and three quarters. There wasn't even a sign out front, although it looks like they had one in the past. There isn't much *new* information about this cafe online, but it exists and leashed dogs are allowed inside! This specialty coffee shop is warm and cozy with a Harry Potter-esque/witchy theme. Warm tones, dim lighting, comfy chairs, with coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and pastries! The coffee beans are from Philadelphia based Green Street Roastery. Even though a bit of a hideaway, visitors have found it and you might have to wait in line, but it moves fast. There are also a couple of outdoor tables to people watch. 79 Broadway, Jim Thorpe, PA 18229

Disappointed... I was told it was a Harry potter themed cafe, but when I entered, its nothing that sort of. yeah, a couple of HP artifacts were lying here and there but it was not look like HP themed restaurant. I don't know what type of cloth was on the couch, did not feel like sitting. It's been said, they always play HP movies on projector screens - NOPE, did not find that too! The drinks were good though. We ordered - their HP special (butter beer), and Frappe. both cost around $6 each (12 Oz). spend some time there and then left for another attraction. just walking down Broadway in Jim Thorpe feels magical with the winding, hilly streets dotted along on either side with colorful 19th-century buildings!

Great Harry Potter vibe, fresh baked goods, and the drinks (specifically the Butterbeer Latte) were off the chart!

Fortunately I was in a group and we were able to split a half dozen donuts so that we could try a few different flavors. My favorite was the canoli and the Nutella maple. Donerds Donuts is a locally owned small business that's well worth a stop when you're visiting Jim Thorpe. I learned that the owners met in Chile, where they were inspired to start a donut and coffee food truck. They sold their handcrafted donuts from a vintage VW bus on the streets of Santiago before eventually bringing their passion to Pennsylvania. Today, they have two locations, and I had the pleasure of visiting the Jim Thorpe shop. The storefront is charming, welcoming, and has a few seats where you can relax and enjoy your treats with a fresh cup of coffee. Best of all, everything is made fresh on-site. Their display case is filled with an impressive selection of classic and specialty donuts, along with colorful macarons, French toast cinnamon rolls, flaky croissants, and a full lineup of coffee drinks ranging from lattes to iced coffees. Honestly...wow! Deciding what to order wasn't easy. Since it was already midday, I kept it simple and went with a Boston Cream donut. It was incredibly fresh, light, and filled with rich, creamy custard, then topped with a smooth layer of chocolate. Absolutely delicious! A special shout-out to Sarah, who made the visit even better. She was warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful, taking the time to explain the different donuts and macarons. Everything she described sounded amazing, and she definitely had my mouth watering. I had to show some self-control or I would've walked out with half the display case! She was fantastic. If you're spending the day in Jim Thorpe, do yourself a favor and make a stop at Donerds Donuts. Grab a coffee, treat yourself to one (or a few) fresh donuts, say hello to Sarah, and support a wonderful local business. I know I'll be back the next time I'm in town.

We found this place because I was looking for somewhere I could get a beer and walk out and around the town of Jim Thorpe (I believe they allow it here). But ended up staying for the vibes and plus we were super hungry. I wish I remembered our waitresses name but I believe she had pink in her hair. She allowed me and my girlfriend to sample some beers that she thought we would like because we were hesitant and what to order. We got the sangria sour beer and the white ale which were perfect for us. We also saw online that everyone loved the smash burger so we had to try it. We added truffle fries for 3 dollars which was so worth it. Some of the best fries we have ever had. Also I think we decided it was the best smash burger we have ever had. We both have never tried bacon jam and we were a bit hesitant about the pimento cheese as well. I think my favorite moment from this trip was sitting at the bar here and eating this meal. Plus the burger lived up to the hype. Thank you to the waitress we had you made our day!

At first look this ice cream spot seems to be a gas station before turned into an ice cream shop, a very good spot to attract a lot of costumers. There are some picnic tables around where costumers can enjoy their sweet treats. First we scouted their menu which was on their wall, chose an ice cream flavor, then went in line at the window on the right where you can order food or ice cream, after ordering and paying you go to the window on the left to pick up your order. We bought cappuccino ice cream in a cup, butter pecan ice cream on a cone and banana ice cream in a cup with chocolate top shell. What I was able to taste was the cappuccino ice cream, it was creamy, not too sweet, rich, velvety smooth and captures the flavor of coffee and espresso, really delicious and good. They give large portion for the price, value is well below compared to NY prices. Staff was welcoming and very friendly, service was quick and efficient. I have enjoyed our experience in this ice cream shop, it was a refreshing treat and a delightful indulgence.

The staff seemed polite, expressing their apologies for the wait times. The staff insists that "it's well worth the wait," but the real question is: is waiting over an hour for food truly worth it? After placing our breakfast order around 10:40 AM, we eagerly anticipated a plate of fluffy pancakes and crispy bacon, but alas, time marched on. In fact, it marched so slowly that I'm convinced we slipped into an alternate universe, where time doesn't exist and food is just a mythical creature. By 11:45 AM, we were staring at the menu again, now featuring lunch items, and questioning whether breakfast is merely a figment of our imaginations. To make matters worse, the entire experience felt like a tourist trap--no pun intended--where dreams and appetites go to die. You know it's bad when you start contemplating whether the short stack of pancakes and omelet you ordered actually requires a passport to arrive. So, if you're looking for a place where you can enjoy a leisurely meal that may or may not arrive before dinner service, this gem is for you. But for me? I'll be sticking to an actual looking glass, where at least I know the reflection of my breakfast is not just a cruel joke. Never again. Nope. Edit** we walked down the road to Antonio's pizza, the place was packed but managed to find one empty table. Upon sitting down our order was taken within 2min. Our food then took 10min until it came out. We were blown away! Antonio's for the win!
