A shot of one of the rooms.

A friend happened to be visiting the area and got a room at this place and I happen to live in San Francisco so he offered the second bed in the room so I wouldn't have to cross the bridge after we did our day tours in the area. I'm a casual traveler and drive to a lot of places in California and I was pleasantly surprised at how well maintained this place was. It was clean, rooms were updated and the bedding was more than satisfactory. For convenience, this place is right off Highway 101, so if you're passing through this town and need an overnight place, this place is ideal. It is also near Sausalito and is right in Mill Valley, so it's close to essential shops, businesses and there are tons of restaurants nearby. This place is pretty awesome for a roadside motel.

If I could give it zero stars I would but you have to unfortunately give it at least one star. This place is an absolute hell hole do not stay here. I checked in about 4am I just got off of work. This room was booked for us by our company. When I checked in the lady up front gave me my room key and said "if there is anything wrong with your room I'll switch you in the morning" so I ask her "what's wrong with the room?" And she said "nothing" well now I know why she said that. From mold to cockroaches and stains everywhere to holes on the sheets and anything you can honestly think of. There was smashed cockroaches all over the microwave even on the inside. I left as soon as I seen all this. I don't understand how these places are even open. They need to be shut down this is disgusting. If they allow all of that to be shown I don't even wanna know what else they do. Probably not even wash the sheets cause they don't clean anything else. I'm glad I left. But for real DO NOT STAY HERE. You might catch something here. Do not waste your money. You are close to so much more stuff make the drive and find something better.

We came to our room on the first floor (Room 111) and we were actually blown away by the size and space. It's quite simple and cute. I come to this area often and was convinced I found a place I can stay regularly. The bathroom is extremely small but again simple room. No frills. I am not sure I'd stay here again though after the experience tonight. We've had someone above us walking around constantly and it is incredibly loud. We can't sleep. The noise is awful. I'd say next time get a second floor room but I'd feel terrible doing this to someone below me. This person above our room hasn't stopped moving and is banging stuff around after 11pm. It's almost like they've been moving furniture and are in hiking boots the walking is so pronounced. Impossible to sleep. We also were very grossed out by the fridge. It hasn't been cleaned out at all. When stuff like that looks this way it makes you wonder if everything else is being cleaned properly. I guess if you're looking for a somewhat budget friendly hotel and can sleep like the dead this may be a fit for you. But being in town for an important event tomorrow and needing to actually sleep it's just not worth it to me due to the noise. Thin walls and thin hardwood floors unfortunately.

Location is amazing ! Our check in was 20 seconds! The price was super duper great! The room is spacious and mostly clean. Air works very good. The location is literally just past the Golden Gate Bridge ! The restaurant across the street is fantastic and then we went to Muir Woods monument (7 miles away) and on the drive there was an amazing spot to see all of San Francisco! Crazy cool !

On a recent trip through the area I was just looking for a place to pull off for the night and stumbled upon this cool old school motel which is being renovated and newly upgraded rooms. This motel literally sits at the intersection of the 101 and 1 exchange on the southwest side of the highway. Road noise is definitely an issue if you're a light sleeper, it did subside after about 10 pm but was a constant muffled rumble in the background. This does also make for easy on and off while traveling though and for my purposes it was a good rest and a decent spot to start my next morning with. This is a good option for the area and inexpensive for the area - this is a mom and pop motel and not a fancy chain. Better than some and not as good as others. A good 3 Star motel 00639

    Mold/mildew on inside shower curtain!

I normally don't write reviews especially bad ones. But this one I definitely had to. I checked into this hotel for one night as I was there on business. Had it not been late and I wasn't exhausted I would have left immediately. However I didn't have that opportunity. I know others had an okay experience, however the room that I got was horrible! Again, I don't normally complain but this was just gross! I would suggest staying somewhere else ! If you don't have a choice , check out the room prior to checking into it!!! I will NOT stay there again.

We've looked at dozens of venues and finally came across Acqua which met all of our criteria with modernness of the hotel, able to accommodate our party size, cost and being water front. This hotel might be small but it has everything you'd want in a hotel including amazing amenities such was wine hour, freshly baked cookies, bike rentals, amazing location close to the GG bridge and Sausalito. Overall, I am so thankful that we had our wedding at this hotel. Kirstin and her staff went above and beyond to make our day special. We arrived at West Point Inn around 8:50 AM, 10 minutes before they even started serving pancakes, and the line was incredibly long. We were optimistic about how quickly it would move, and figured we'd probably wait an hour and half. Wrong! We didn't get our pancakes until 12:30 PM, so the wait ended up being 3.5 hours. Luckily, it was a beautiful day, but we were absolutely starving. I think their ordering system could've been a bit more efficient, since the menu options are so limited. They only have plain and blueberry pancakes (I chose blueberry) with a few sides, so having servers running the orders down seemed unnecessary. Cash and Venmo are accepted, but I recommend bringing cash because service up there is unreliable. The pancakes were pretty good, but my favorite part of the experience was easily the hummingbirds! They have several feeders up on the porch, and I'd never seen so many hummingbirds swarming at once. It was beautiful to watch, especially with the San Francisco skyline in the background. Overall, it's a wonderful event in theory, but not worth doing more than once.
