Crab fried rice
Aaron S.

Visiting in town from San Diego. The last time I came out to Georgia and Tennessee, it was hard to find good Asian food but coming across this gem after landing in ATL, man was I surprised. The staff were very friendly. They have a new Thai menu and I ordered the crab fried rice from their new Thai menu and IT WAS SO GOOD. I give it a 8.5/10. Flavor, the amount of crab, the portions. Everything was great about it. We also ordered general tso chicken, tangerine chicken, and the seafood soup. All of it crunchy, sauced up, and great tasting. And it was all great pricing compared to San Diego. San Diego crab fried rice is usually $35-50. The ambiance is nice. The only thing I wished was the tables to be spread out from other tables. I feel like I was too close to other tables but luckily, it wasn't packed when we went.

While I have more check-ins at this location, I can vouch slightly for this business, the menu options, and the first-class service! This is Not a hot or miss restaurant. The cooks work from their hearts. The staff and service team are committed to delivering the best possible experience. The owner is hands-on and can make your visit memorable. This is a peaceful place to visit. The lunchtime crowd is laid back, and the serene ambiance and the private booth space offer you the space necessary to eat without feeling rushed. You can order takeout if you run short of time; I recommend you call directly at 404-629-0007. This space is very close to my place of employment, and it's one of the reasons why I keep patronizing the location. Good food, friendly service, convenient location, 285 South Exit cm Cascade Rd. Good location with free parking. Clean inside and friendly staff. The staff tend to be the same which is good in getting to know them and vice versa. Bar available or table seating. Also offers a small private room. Food is traditional Asian cuisine. All non spicy chicken dinners I can vouch are good. Simple drink menu but it has variety. Their white rice is truly sticky rice without any flavor.

I seen this place and wanted to try it. When I am in Houston . I could never find a good Chinese restaurant. I gave this one a shot cause I seen the egg foo young and it reminded me of my mom favorite meal. I decided to get shrimp fried rice lunch special and appetizer fried wings. I loved it. The wings were fresh and shrimp was a decent size and quantity. I went at lunch and it was great portion sizes. What I did NOT like was the spring rolls . The inside was over cooked and mushy. The outside had a great crust but I did not give a rating for spring rolls cause I know I wouldn't like it. I didn't like they did not have egg rolls so I went to another restaurant nearby for egg rolls. I will be back here until I find something else that catches my eye.

Great food, great drink, and great fellowship! Mulans iis a small gem located on the southwest side of Atlanta, off Cascade Rd. I met one of my besties there. This chinese place offers some very good cuisines. Meat is not an option for me right now and they were still able to deliver! Our waiter, Adrian was by far outstanding! He gave me some good choices. I went with the egg drop soup and the "crispies" and the sesame tofu and vegetable fried rice. As always, I will be back thanks Mulan's!

House lo mein!

I really wanted to like this restaurant. I actually went inside to place my order. I was told it would be completed in 20 minutes. I came back in 20 minutes and was told it wasn't ready. Another 20 minutes passed and it was finally ready. I checked the order and it was missing the two sushi rolls. I informed them and it took another 20 minutes for them to make the forgotten items. My to-go order included sesame chicken, tangerine chicken, sushi, and house lo mein. The two chicken dishes were not appetizing. They were both bland. The sushi was ok. The house lo mein was tasty. We enjoyed the lo mein. I don't think I will order from this restaurant again. I did not enjoy the service or dishes prepared from this establishment.

I wasn't on Yelp the last time I ate here Circa 2000, as Mulan still offers the same inviting, hospitable atmosphere & service. The menu offers both traditional & contemporary dishes from China, Thailand, Japan with various selections of appetizers, main courses, vegetables, soups & Sushi. Vegetarian/Vegan & Spa options are many. Seating is varied - Bar, Sushi Bar, main dining area, booths on one side, sunroom, private room & a patio, with the latter still closed. The open kitchen gives the customers an easy view to watch their meals being skillfully made while relaxing amongst the comfortable ambiance. It was interesting to learn that Chef Master John Kuan is still cooking in the kitchen as he'll come out & speak to anyone, even if your picture isn't on the wall. Our food didn't take long as we enjoyed our meal & the price point per portion. Our Server, Jay was great all around with his service.

I started asking questions about this and that and he answered every question with a smile on his face, letting me know his favorites, best sellers, etc. I chose the Cajun pasta with chicken and added shrimp, slice of garlic bread and a big ole piece of chocolate cake, washed down with a Cherry Coke and let me tell you...it was the best meal I've had in Atlanta! This was my first time stopping in here, but I've been to the ATL a bunch through the years, from high end to hole in the wall places, North to South of the city, but I'll be stopping in here again on my next time through. Located about 10 minutes from the airport it was perfect to grab dinner to go on my way to my hotel. The gentleman and I talked travel, food, football as I waited and I thoroughly enjoyed the conversation but what I didn't know was his wife was kicking up some of the best Cajun pasta I've ever eaten! Sorry man, she is the star of the show! I had perfectly cooked shrimp, mixed it with a hearty portion of chicken but the Cajun sauce was perfection. I soaked up perfectly with the garlic bread for an incredible feast! Thank you for welcoming me in and making my last meal in ATL memorable. Until next time!

There is no way they didn't know this was burnt, yet they still had the nerve to charge $24 for it. The fact that anyone would let this leave the kitchen speaks volume of how the food has gone down at this location. That's not just disappointing, it's unacceptable. On top of that, calling the restaurant is pointless because they never answer the phone. Thankfully, I'm getting a refund through Uber Eats, but that doesn't excuse the lack of quality and accountability. Do better. Customers are paying too much money to be served food like this.

I had called after placing the order to ask for additional condiments and the chef insured me it would be taken care of. My puppies were fried to my liking and I was grateful to have the ketchup for my fries. Most was good but, the slaw had been warped and heated upon delivery. Due to packaging it had been sweating in the same container as the fish & I also wish I've been given the opportunity to purchase an additional piece of Barramundi for my order but everything else was fine. Again,it's small venue: you really shouldn't come here with a slew of people if you can help it. They have some outdoor seating as well, but not a lot, so you don't want to count on that, but it's kind of intimate. The bar fits maybe six to eight seats at most, and the general seating probably no more than 20 people. It's in a shopping center area, so it's free parking when you go, and there's a number of other things there. You could easily start with this spot and then go to a show and then end up in a cigar lounge, so at least that's a little bit of flexibility. I had the House malbac which was pretty good. I'm looking around, though, and I noticed that the food looks amazing. It made me feel bad for not eating, LOL. Everybody says that it is good, but I just can't speak on it. It looks amazing, so I wanted to make sure I say that. I sat at the bar, and the bartenders kind of were in and out. There were maybe four people at the bar aside from myself. The bartenders kept disappearing, so I wasn't sure about the whole service component with this place. Once you get their attention, you're good, but it just seemed like there were a lot of disappearing acts. I gotta give them grace because it looked like the bartender was dropping off food as well, so I can't wholly take off for that because it looks like they had him doing double duty. If you're into seafood and you want some crab cakes or some salmon, you should probably at least take a look at the menu. It's a good stop-off point, so I would definitely suggest giving it a shot if you're in the area.

It's on the side of other buildings like they all share on structure and divided it up, but the interior is much bigger than expected. It kind of felt like a long hallway, but that may be due to how it was pretty empty upon arrival though it got pretty busy once night fell. From what I understand, the menu changes every few months or so. What you see in reviews may not be on the menu when you visit, but don't let that deter you! The food will still be good. They have a good grasp on flavors all around the world, and it's a fancier take on what would otherwise be considered comfort food. At least, that's how I felt ordering the oxtail lasanga. Like, WOW. Beautifully delicious. The tomatoes on the side packed such a punch. Tiny flavor bombs for sure. I really jumped straight to the best thing of the night in my review, but it honestly was everything I wanted once I saw it on the menu. Going back to the beginning though... the apps? Tasty. The salmon empanadas were a little dry, but seasoned well. I believe the (collard green) hushpuppies are a mainstay item, and it's truly for a good reason. Such a classic bite, and it's easily shareable too. For the jerk duck wings, I preferred the mango salad underneath it. The flavor overall wasn't bad, but duck has such a distinct taste that it overpowered the jerk seasoning. The wings weren't spicy either, though the mango had a little bit of a kick. I was a little too focused on my lasagna, but I did try a little of the grilled Moroccan lamb loin (tender) and the suya shrimp jollof pasta (bland, sauce too thin to coat the pasta, but shrimps were so yummy). And we did end with some dessert, which does not disappoint, though it was hard for me to choose.

The place is tucked behind where GPS takes you and there is no real parking. The inside is cozy and swank. Gives a 90's vibe. The servers were charming and charismatic. They also suggested all delicious options for us. The chef sent over Thai lettuce wraps and they were divine! The food is a blend of Soul Food and other countries. I absolutely adored and loved that! Started with the collard green hush puppies, jerk duck wings and salmon empanadas. All were beyond amazing! Get the duck wings if you can only have one! I had the Thai catfish and coconut grits for my entree and it did not disappoint. This is the first time in my life that I ate a whole fish. I have never completely eaten one. It was crispy and seasoned well. Did not give off that catfish taste. The grits were surprisingly delightful. Never thought about coconut in grits. My other friend had the oxtail lasagna and she devoured it! The third friend is a picky eater and got the chicken with rice/beans. She loved it. My other friend had the Trini fish and her only complaint was that it wasn't hot enough. She's a native Trini, so she wanted more spice. For dessert we got the croissant bread pudding!! DELICIOUS! I would definitely return and recommend Oretha's!
