    Cupcakes

We walked by while shopping and having lunch in the village. The shop is tiny but cute. They display their pastry's in the window which caught our eye and we had to go inside and check them out. My sister ordered a coffee and I got a chocolate cupcake for my daughter. There were other pastries that caught my eye but we were on our way to grab lunch. My daughter loved the cupcake and mud sister loved her coffee. I had a sip of her coffee and it was delicious. I will be back for coffee and a pastry.

I noticed this little cute shop the other day while walking through town. Then had to come back to pick up some sweets for friends. A coffee shop/cafe that has a nice little outdoor seating area off the street. Great for people watching and having your coffee and a pastries. Inside, it's a cute little shop with amazing pastries. Picked up a couple things as everything looked amazing. The gentlemen that was working that day was very friendly and sweet. It's a sweet little spot where I'm sure the locals love.

I came when it was closer to closing so there were items that were sold out for the day. The pastries weee good, but I do wish there were more savory options as well. The worker was nice and gave me a complimentary treat, super cute bakery and highly recommend! ig: @cravingswithcat

The aesthetic of this bakery is super cute. They sell pastries and other items like books and kitchen stuff (cups, spoons, etc) but the prices were a bit high. I got their morning bun croissant to go, but it was okay. Not as fluffy and buttery as I would have liked. There were a bunch of other pastries, but my friend got another pastry from them and also didn't like it too much. So I'm not sure if I would come back here for pastries just because we both didn't really like our pastries. It's street parking and there's no indoor seating at this cafe. I hear that they are known for their cupcakes, so I might have to come back to give it a try.

So good! Even though it was 2pm they had many yummy choices. I picked up a latte and a blueberry turnover.

If you're ever driving on the 101 near Arroyo Grande this is a must stop coffee shop. The eclairs are so delicious. The service is top notch. Plenty of outside seating and parking. It's a gorgeous city and you can sit outside drinking your coffee and eating in a beautiful setting. I ordered a mocha. It's the best mocha I've ever tasted. I'm non dairy and they have several options. I highly recommend this little gem.

    Chocolate croissant

The people who work there are very nice. Unfortunately, the chocolate croissant I bought from there was disappointing because it had very little chocolate in it.

I do not remember seeing Napoleans at Eclair, but as with all places you can call to ask if they can or will make some for you. I looked at some old pics from the old AG Bakery before they renovated the shopping center. I have a pic on Yelp that…

A Sweet Experience…read more.. My wife had a milestone birthday approaching and I wanted to get a special cake for her party with friends and family. After reading lots of reviews on Yelp, I called Pam at PK's Cakes. We were not disappointed. Ratings: - Overall: 5 - Ease of Ordering: 5 - Cake Selection: 5 - Customization: 5 - Day of Pick-Up: 5 - Crowd Reaction: 5 - Price: 4 - Value: 5 - Ease of Ordering: Simple. I called Pam, explained the situation and what my wife liked. Pam asked several follow-up questions before we settled on ingredients, appearance and arrangements to get the cake at her house in Arroyo Grande (closer to Cypress Ridge than the village part of AG). She bakes everything in her kitchen. - Cake Selection: Huge. Pam is a cake artist so the choice is basically limited by your imagination and her suggestions. - Customization: Almost anything. We got a 7 inch round layer cake meant to serve 15 people. My wife called it "an artistic version of strawberry shortcake" which is just what she wanted. The top had a yellow rose with sage green leaves and baby's breath sugar flowers. Since her main hobby is ceramics, Pam suggested adding 2 sculpted pots on the side (check out the photo). - Day of Pick-Up: Easy. I ordered this cake 9 days before the expected pick-up which was one day before the party. Pam had it ready-to-go on a strong cake board in a nice, large, sturdy box and helped me find the safest place in my car for the 10 minute drive home. I kept it in that box in our refrigerator at home. - Crowd Reaction: Great. Typical comments were..."what a fine looking cake" and "it tastes so good without being too sweet". - Price: Not cheap. Remember...this is a highly customized cake literally created by a baking artist. Our cake was $175 plus $50 for the hand-carved decorations. - Value: Excellent. We got just what we paid for. No complaints. In addition to the cake, Pam was very easy to work with. A real sweetheart.

Thank you Pam for working with me and for the partial refund on the cake. Appreciate your gesture…read moreand explanation of what went wrong. I wish you the best in your business!

The cinnamon rolls are huge and generously topped with cream cheese frosting that isn't overly sweet, making them perfect for sharing. Unfortunately, our roll seemed a bit overcooked. Instead of being soft, fluffy, and pillowy, the bread had a crunchy texture, which was disappointing since we were expecting a warm, tender cinnamon roll. The frosting was delicious and helped balance it out, but the overcooked bread took away from the overall experience. Even though our first visit didn't quite live up to the hype, we'll definitely be back to give it another try. Hopefully next time we'll get a fresh, soft, melt-in-your-mouth cinnamon roll that everyone raves about.

We stopped by after the weekend up in Paso Robles for wine tasting and SLO town. It was still early so the town was pretty mellow and starting to open up. Well, this place was very lively and packed when we arrived. They have patio seating with some table's available but once you walk inside, the place was packed. All the tables and seat were utilized with people enjoying their meal and a cup of coffee. And a line forming for ordering. I've only had their drinks and pastries but they do offer food. Seeing what was being picked up and taken back to their seats, everything looked amazing. The open sandwiches, a must try next time we're here. But I was there for one thing, the scones. I don't know if they are made on site or from another establishment but let me say, they are fantastic. Everything was very tasty and not dry like some are. There's always a few selection which does sell out fast. I picked up the blueberry, favorite out of them all and a must try. The lemon which was tasty and not overly sweet and the maple syrup. Slightly sweet but not overly. And they're not dry which was the best part. By the time I ordered mine, majority of them were sold out. People must know about this place. Same thing with the town, I'm not sure if it was more locals or visitors that was visiting the place but it was happening. Besides the drinks and food, they also have coffee and teas for purchase as well as apparels. It's a full coffee shop and cafe with great drinks and delicious looking meals. Plus the customers service is top notch with the sweetest staff. Highly recommended stopping by for a meal or even a coffee.

I got a cherry vanilla cupcake and their version of a DingDong, though it was still a cupcake, so they don't know what they're talking about. The cherry one was the worst. It came topped with a maraschino cherry. The frosting was so artificial that it tasted almost spicy. I didn't even taste the vanilla cupcake because I was so put off by it. Next was the Ding Dong (which was still a cupcake). The chocolate ganache tasted alright. The chocolate cupcake underneath was moist but lacked flavor. To be honest, it tasted like a box mix. The whipped cream filling was skimpy and it had a weird cream cheese flavor even though it had the consistency of whipped cream.
