I've had my vehicle for one year as of this month, I wanted to wait a entire year before writing anything so I had all the dirty details. I'm not fond of any sales employee due to commission rates a lot of people let it get in the way of being a honest good sales person. I've seen it all, I did it nationally for years. When someone like me walks in and looks at the nicest cars on the lot, the first thing is "paycheck". I'm very keen on these things but To my surprise; I trust the management, Christina sold me my first ford car. I was extremely hesitant, I went in wanting a much nicer, much more expensive, faster and new car. Christina was very informative with me, told me pros and cons of the car I wanted and also the car she recommended for what my needs are. She never once hyped up a vehicle regardless of my taste when I came in. She never told it wasn't a good choice either, she just gave me alittle more to think about it to help me out in the long run. That's what makes a good sales person, she carries the honesty it takes to do sales nation wide. When I was so sad and set on leaving to think about it due to realizing maybe my choice isn't best, they offered me to try it out for a day so atleast I would know I'm the future. I fell in love with my car, I bought it two days after. Not only that, when I returned the next day shorter on money they still did what they could for me making it very comforting knowing money was not the achievement from my purchase. The interaction with the staff was good BEFORE they knew how much money I had, and that is what matters. Christina and her boss Ron both went about and beyond to save a chunk of money, and to meet my needs rather than theirs. I've had my car for 1 year as of the 4th of this month, 8 days ago. I'm a year late, but I can honestly say I will never go to another dealership and allow a sales person to approach me with intent to get personal gains out of my purchase. I will continue to recommend purchasing at this establishment, and anyone in Five cities area. Do not buy "good tires" here because i bought 4 and at least 1 of them will not stay aired and is low immediately after putting air in it. i also remembered, after i ordered and bought the tires hearing a man complaining about his "good" tires leaking. guess i have to show them the tire(s) again. after they checked the tires, no leaks, put air in all of them, either when i got home or the next day, the 1 or more tires was low again. and it will get lower still and look almost like a flat. any suggestions? i gave a ( 2 ) instead of a (1 ) because the other repairs i'd had done seemed ok. My experience started off calm enough, but then escalated. I won't be returning or giving them any business. Marco was very kind and stepped out to introduce himself. He gave a quick layout when I told him I was just looking. Then he came out a few minutes later and offered to let me test drive a vehicle I was looking at. A little hasty, but I bit. After we returned from the drive, he tried to get me to pin-point exactly what I was looking for. I kept insisting that I just wanted to look around and wasn't sure yet. I wasn't making a purchase for a couple of weeks, anyway. He went back into the office and I could overhear them asking questions about what I was looking for and saying, which was awkward... so I kept walking around eventually deciding maybe I'd move on and come back another day. Before I could get off the lot, Daniel comes out like a shark and introduces himself as a team-lead. Great. Upper management swooping in, here we go. Right out of the gate, he listed my ideal price range, and informed me that I can't be so picky about what I want in that price range. Okay, maybe that's fair. He goes on to ask if I want to come inside and run my credit with them. I explained that I already have my credit score and cited the source. When he asked what it was and I openly admitted it, we tried to begin discussing financing options. Except that it came off as: "Well, I don't want you driving around all the cars in the lot only to be turned down for approval in that price range when we run your credit." I was immediately offended and explained that I didn't plan on test driving any of their vehicles today, with the exception of Marco offering for the one. In addition to telling me I can't be so picky, he turned around and tried to give me a scripted line of "If I could put your perfect car in front of you right now, what would it be?" Don't be picky, but list your dream car? Yeah, Okay. I was like, "Look man, I don't have one in mind. I just have a budget and I'm trying to get some ideas." If he would've asked me the right questions, he'd have realized that with the budget in which I was looking I could've paid for a vehicle all at once up front without even bothering to deal with credit or financing; I was only interested in financing to try to bump up my score. But no, he insisted to keep pushing (probably trying to teach the young buck, Marco, "how it works") and instead of reading the room and seeing that I was clearly pissed and uncomfortable, kept pushing pushing pushing. And then apropos of nothing but his own banter, he went on to discuss that I could attempt to go elsewhere for cheaper used vehicles, but that they are sold from their lots at wholesale price because none of them are good enough, and that they could only give me in-house financing, nothing that would help my credit score. When I'd finally had enough, I said "I don't understand what you're out here trying to get me to do. You're talking in circles saying you don't want me driving all of your cars because I may not be approved, but yet you claim to want my business. I'm uncomfortable." He apologized, and I started to walk away, and he desperately said, "WAIT! Can I give you my business card?!" and I turned around nearly in tears saying, "I guess? If you think you even WANT my business?" and he insisted that they do, and I insisted that I was very uncomfortable and I'd have to think pretty hard before considering coming back. All in all, thanks Daniel, you've just inspired me to buy a bucket down the street and put toy wheels on it, because I'd rather drive a piece of trash that rots in two months anyway than spend another minute listening to you insult me while thinking you're reeling me in. If you walk on this lot, be careful. Pushing and poor intuition when it comes to reading your audience. You're just a number to them, "customer care" is not in their vocabulary. read more

My husband and I purchased a used vehicle here two months ago. The salesman we worked with was nice - the process was smooth in the buying stage and we were so happy with our purchase...until the car broke down in the middle of the freeway only two weeks after we purchased. We ended up with a quote to have our entire engine replaced due to sludge build up ($7k worth of damage) and negligence to the vehicle. We were told the vehicle was in great shape and had recently been serviced. We called mullahey and luckily we purchased a one year warranty through them and they ended up replacing our engine with a refurbished one. All in all a horrible experience. The only reason I give 3 stars is because they did fix it (but what would of happened without that warranty?!) ADVICE: if you do buy a used vehicle from this dealership have an outside mechanic check the engine out before you purchase. read more

When I was there they tried to sneak a contract in between pages to run my credit to buy a used Ford Fusion when first I told them what my budget was (which the car was not) that I wanted new not used. The salesman tried to pressure me into buying that day and Made me extremely uncomfortable. The dealership literally feels like hell with no a/c and the pushy salesman. I will never ever ever refer a friend or anyone to this dealership especially when you can drive 200-300 miles south or north and literally save 5k dollars like I did on my new car. Also service department are a bunch of crooks. Was told it would cost $1325.00 to fix truck so took vehicle to a mechanic friend on mine and found the problem to be a lose nut. Contacted Mullahey Ford and was told there was a tsb (technical service bulletin) and my repair would cost $1325.00 so I requested to see this tsb and now they can't seem to find it. This place gave me a $1,600 quote for a repair, then when asked for a breakdown of the charges, they took hours to fax it and only said "labor, 7.2 hrs, $900" along with some overpriced parts. Nonsense. Within minutes, found another place to do it for $500 less that actually absorbed the towing fee from this place too. Also, my tow truck guy said his company cancelled their contracts with this dealer because of bad blood. What else could you need to know? I don't recommend Mullahey Ford. The lack of communication between customer and service department is awful. We had our car there for 8 days and spent well over a thousand dollars and we had to constantly call and chase down our service guy. When you spend that kind of money and have your car there for that long (with no offer of a loaner car) a customer should be getting daily updates. Every time we did get a up date it was to inform us that we would be spending more money and keeping it longer. We told the service department how much we were willing to spend and it went way over that amount. When I confronted the service department of my complaints there was no empathy or sorrow. I was met with smiles and helpful people. I told Mark the salesman what I wanted, what I wanted to pay. Not once did he try to push anything higher on me. He offered to let me test drive the care I liked but I requested that we first figure out if I would be able to get a loan. He got me the loan I wanted/needed. Worked with me on payment dates. Took my car on its last leg for credit and knew snoop dog lyrics on the test drive. I can't recommend this place enough! I purchased a Ford Explore Platinum. The buying experience was ok. The dealer prep of the vehicle before the vehicle was released to me was awful. The Explorer was handed over to my wife and I dirty, but according to the salesman the vehicle was detailed. For the first service, I took the car to Mullahey Ford and the service rep was energetic, very friendly, and helpful. The first service was free (although I believe nothing was done). I picked up the vehicle from it's first service and it was dirtier than when I dropped it off. I do expect a $50K plus vehicle to be washed by the dealer after the first service at a minimum. When picking up the vehicle, a different customer service rep was there and very unfriendly. He brought the Explorer out and walked away without saying a word. One of the cashiers is just a grumpy, unpleasant, unfriendly woman. After the initial purchase, my wife and I noticed some paint problems and the fuel door was misaligned. I must say the body shop did an amazing job with the paint repair and repairing the fuel door. Unfortunately the bottom line is that I will not purchase my next vehicle from Mullahey Ford. I will not bring my Explorer back to them for service, and I do not recommend them. read more
