if i could leave 0 stars i would. the waitress seemed drunk. someone at our table had a water THAT STILL HAD DISH SOAP. they DENIED it even though everyone at the table tasted it to double check. tasted like lemony perfume. we had to send our meals back multiple times because they came out wrong. the alfredo was basically water, the chicken seemed old and tasted like cardboard. to top it off we have been waiting for the check for an hour and they ALL came back wrong. some waitresses are wearing nursing scrubs? this place almost seems like it shouldn't be running and be shut down. i am a waitress and understand the struggle with restaurants right now with covid, but this is absolutely unacceptable. This place was a huge disappointment. The waitress was nice and attentive, but we waited a full 45 minutes for our food. The waitress apologized and said the cook was slow but come on! We ordered ciabatta bread which was warm but dried out - stale bread reheated. Not good. I had the steak and rice pilaf. The steak was cooked medium rare as I ordered it but the flavor was only okay. The rice pilaf was pretty bad; dry and tasted old. My mom had the fried haddock sandwich - instead of it being fresh fish as close to the ocean as we were, it tasted frozen and was dried out. I only have a one star rating because I couldn't rate lower. I have eaten here before and have never been impressed. Everyone raves about it but I have never had an even mediocre meal here. I ordered macaroni and cheese. What I got was a plate of pasta with some melted cheese on top. I supposed I got macaroni and cheese. And that wasn't even the worst thing. Last night I had dinner there with some friends. I ordered haddock chowder. They served me a bowl of thick and pasty "broth" with potatoes and CLAMS. It wasn't until after I took a couple of spoonfuls that I had clam chowder instead of what I ordered. I have a severe allergy to clams and spent the entire night vomiting. Went to Mulligans for lunch yesterday. Can't beat the prices and the food is good. We stood for about 2 to 3 minutes waiting to be seated even though the hostess saw us come in and was sitting across from us. She asked us if we wanted a table or a booth. We chose a booth. When we got to the booth the seat on one side of the booth was ripped and the stuffing was coming out. I asked if she could move us to a different booth and she said that all the booths had ripped seats so she went to another booth and took a cushion that wasn't ripped from that booth and put it at our booth. Are you kidding me. It doesn't cost much to recover a seat just some material and staple gun. I was embarrassed because this was the first time I had taken my granddaughter and her boyfriend to Mulligans. read more

Went here a while back, first time ever. walked up to the bar with my ID literally out and in my hand and ready to go (I'm 27 so I expect to get carded a lot) and the bar tender doesn't greet me but instead says "I'll need to see some ID" hello to you too!!!!... I ordered a cider and then he threatened that he was only going to run my debit card once so I needed to decide whether I wanted to open a tab or just get one drink right then and there in that moment. Super cheap and food wasn't half bad! You can't go wrong with $5 meals! My boyfriend and I split the Buffalo chicken appetizer. The tenders were huge! We then had the chicken parm, which was delicious and ribs with fries. The fries were great, but I didn't really care for the ribs. The drinks were cheap as well! Try the mudslide! Well I went in with my Mom, Aunt, Sis, daughter n Mrs. I got the wings mild bone in. They were very mild. They really didn't have much flavor. The chicken was a bit over cooked. I got the steak rare with teriyaki sauce, mashed and gravy. Well the steak was cooked rare. that was just about the only thing good about it. The teriyaki sauce was just poured over the cooked steak. The mashed potato's looked and tasted like they came from a mashed powder just add water. The gravy was also from a mix. I ordered a Pepsi with my meal. The server was just ok. When I finished my drink and wanted another it took 20 minutes to get it. She forgot! By then 3 others wanted drinks at the table and she forgot the water. When I got the mashed with gravy, the mashed was cold. Also was the same on 2 others at the table. All the did was throw it in a microwave for a few seconds and brought it back. Was just warm after reheat. I had to scrape most on the sauce off of my steak. The Mrs. had the baked haddock special. The sauce tasted funny and the fish also had a funky taste as well. I have only eaten hear twice. Now I remember whey I don't go here to eat. So I won't try my luck with a third visit. I Wish I could do a 1/2 star they would get it. I went here today with my friends we walked in no problem, sat right away by the hostess then our waitress came up and asked what we wanted to drink we did not try to get anything alcoholic but where asked if we where 21. When we said no she said that we needed to leave and walked away, humiliated we got up and walked out of the restaurant. If you only serve people 21 and over you should post it on the door and on your website especially if you are in a town where there's a lot of college students. It's cheap food and you can't even eat there if you are not accompanied with a parent. If you are licensed as a lounge post it so people know if they will be served or not so that they don't have to get up and leave the table and have everyone look at you while you are asked to leave. If you don't want to do the wall of shame make sure your 21 if you want to eat there. read more

When I used to live in Maine this place was great. They must be slipping, staff is piss poor now, our waitress gave us inexcusable service, had to wait long lengths of time for silverware? Went here tonight. I'm 23 but I was with 3 other guests who were all under 21. We were asked if we were all 21 and I said no. Then we were told that we could not eat there without the parent or guardian of the other 3 guests. I have eaten there in the past with people under 21 no problem but tonight it was an issue. I asked for a manager and instead I got the owner of the place. He was the most unprofessional buissiness owner I have ever come across. He reiterated that we could not eat there and when I told him that we had in the past he said "I find that very hard to believe." as if to call me a liar. On top of that, the times that we have eaten there were sub standard. We had only returned tonight due to it's low cost. But this is definitely my last time going here. We got spinach dip, chicken cordon bleu with mashed potatoes, steak and French fries, and 2 drinks for $24.00. The portions were generous for the price as well.
