We had the best time at Mulligan's, we happened to go on a Thursday when Brenton Keith, the magician was performing. The show was so entertaining, and our son who is a budding magician was even called on stage. Food was great, drinks were awesome & the show completed the evening. Highly recommend!

Came by for late lunch. Place was quiet. Nice... Before the happy hour crowd comes. This place is only opened on weekends (since covid) The Shepard's pie and Corned Beef and Hash are always good pub choices. Portions are big, so we always take home other half portion for dinner. Good deal! Posting pic of other halves

    Excellent food and drinks!

This our first time dining with our friends living at Waiela. We had their fish and chips was delicious but I would have preferred more fish and spices. The chips was crispy and delicious. I had the mulligan pot pie and large portions amazingly delicious full of beef carrots and onions. Lastly we share two apple pie with vanilla ice creams spectacular with burst of flavors of cinnamon and cloves. Perfectly baked and not too sweet or runny. Lastly the selection of wine was mediocre especially the Mondavi cab was blah. I'm guessing they don't have good wine selection because it's an Irish pub so next time we will order beers. We will definitely return

However, the owner took the time to respond and explain that the entire shopping center wing was experiencing cooling issues and that the restaurant was dealing with significant staffing shortages at the time. While that doesn't completely change the experience we had, I appreciate that the owner acknowledged the challenges and responded professionally rather than dismissing the feedback. One observation I would offer is that, as a customer, it was difficult to tell who was serving tables. I noticed several employees in Pint & Cork shirts moving around the restaurant, but only saw a couple of servers actively covering the dining area. It's possible some staff were assigned to bartending or other responsibilities, but from the guest perspective it gave the impression that table service was understaffed while other employees appeared unavailable. I still think there is room for improvement in the flow and logistics on the floor, but I appreciate the owner's willingness to engage with feedback and explain the circumstances. That being said, I would be willing to give the restaurant another chance. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATED REVIEW AFTER OWNER'S RESPONSE: 6.21.26 I appreciate the response. It's telling that you addressed the air conditioning, disputed the gender of an employee, and questioned whether I was even there, yet didn't meaningfully respond to the concerns about service, timing, attentiveness, or food quality. If a customer leaves with a poor experience, the question isn't whether they perfectly recalled every detail. The question is why they left with that impression in the first place. I suspect future readers can draw their own conclusions from both the review and the response. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Probably the most disappointing dining experience of our Hawaii trip. We specifically asked to sit indoors because we wanted a break from the Maui heat after spending the day outside. Unfortunately, we quickly realized there was no air conditioning, making the indoor seating barely any cooler than outside. The restaurant also felt severely understaffed. It took around 10 minutes just to get a Diet Coke, and every time I asked for assistance, the woman working at the register seemed to defer the request rather than help or find someone who could. Meanwhile, some employees appeared more interested in chatting than helping customers, while only one or two staff members seemed to be working the floor. I understand restaurants get busy, especially in a tourist area, but the issue wasn't just the wait--it was the feeling that customer service wasn't a priority. As for the food, it was nothing special. I ordered a steak that had a nice smoky flavor, but it arrived well done and overcooked. The rest of the meal was average at best and definitely not memorable enough to make up for the service issues. Between the lack of air conditioning, slow service, inattentive staff, and mediocre food, this was one of the few places in Hawaii where I genuinely regretted spending my money. Considering the location at The Shops at Wailea and the prices being charged, I expected a much higher level of hospitality and execution. There are far too many great dining options in Wailea to come back here.

And funny, I had the same waiter (Christian!) he was also as I remembered too! Pros- service and food, both great! I was a little nervous especially after my not so great dinner last night at Star Noodle, but thankfully Lineage did not disappoint!! Standouts were the cauliflower, Wagyu steak, and lobster noodles. I also remembered to order 2 tamago dishes (one to take home!) Oh and desserts were also delicious, no take home containers needed on any of those! We had several leftovers from dinner... but ate all the cauliflower and steak, and completely devoured the desserts! Cons- very pricey, but worth it!!

We made a reservation at the bar as we couldn't make one for standard seating (no availability several days before). They only open in the evenings at 5 pm. Lots of vegetarian/ vegan options. The bartenders that attended to us (especially the male one) was really friendly and customer service oriented. We ordered the garlic Szechuan noodles, the fish of the day 54.00 was the market price!!; we did ask ahead of time), the Lion's Mane Mushroom Liangban Salad. I honestly liked the garlic noodles from star noodle better but the size was a little bigger here. The noodles dressed up with the chef's special hot sauce though made the noodles taste a whole lot better (there are two types of chili sauce - a sambal (our neighbor had it) and a special hot sauce that is more orange colored). It was a little too sweet IMHO without the hot sauce. I noticed someone else mentioned it was like packaged ramen indomie. It actually looked and tasted to me too like it was not freshly made... The fish of the day (kampachi - type of amberjack) was really good. Steamed with ginger and some green onions I think. Tasted pretty authentic and flavorful and soft. Pricey though. The salad was delicious. Very flavorful with the bite sized shiitake mushrooms and just the right amount of dressing. We got a complimentary birthday scoop of delicious lychee/ longan/ ginger sorbet that we loved and devoured! Great flavors! They make their own sorbets in house and typically a different flavor every night! We might come back future to try their cauliflower.

My husband and I thought we ordered a reasonable amount of food and quickly realized we may have gotten a little too ambitious. The staff was friendly, service moved quickly despite how busy it was, and the atmosphere felt very local and welcoming. There are a lot of breakfast spots on Maui, but I can see why this place is always recommended. If you're visiting, it's definitely worth stopping by at least once. I absolutely loved the healthy options they offered, though I do wish they had some sugar-free options available. The system here is simple: you head inside to place your order, and then you find an open table. Within about 20 minutes, the staff will call your name and bring your food out fresh and piping hot. When you finish eating, it can be a bit confusing to know where to take your plate. I asked the staff and they said to just leave it on the table. While I am not accustomed to leaving dirty dishes behind, the staff is very prompt and efficient at clearing and cleaning up. Great spot overall!

Both pizzas are unique, mouthwatering deliciousness that combine sweet, a bit o' heat, and lots of savory flavors along with textures. The unique sauces really amp these pizzas up with flavor. The staff was friendly and checked on us to see if we needed anything while we waited. It also seemed like a chill bar where people could grab drinks and hang out on the patio. We took the pizzas home, and they were delicious. Our favorite was the sweet kalua. It was not overly barbecuey or sweet, but actually pretty savory. The margherita pizza was good too. In general, their pizza stands out because there is not too much crust. It was not crispy, but instead airy and on the doughy side. The reason I am giving 3 stars instead of 5 is because one of our group members found a blonde hair baked into his pizza slice, not just sitting on top. That was disappointing, especially since the pizza itself was actually very good.
