I had a terrible experience at this shop. I went to Chris for a labor only brake job for rear…read morebrakes & rotors (I bought my own parts prior). I was quoted 158 for this job the day prior over the phone and I confirmed at the start of the appointment if that would be the price. My brakes were in poor shape, missing a brake pad on one side and the mechanics spent an extra 15-20 mins working on my cylinder. At the end of the job, Chris informed me that they got air on the line and would have to bleed the brakes. (I've always had my brakes bled at the end of any brake job so this is standard for me to have done whenever I get my breaks done. They told me this would be an extra 120 dollars at the end of the job. My father is a mechanic and said that price was a little high just to bleed the brakes and was very familiar with the procedure. He told me "go call your dad and ask him to send you more money." When I asked if they could take 20 bucks off and knock the price down to 100 from 120 he asked me to tell him how old I was which I thought was rude and uncalled for. I told him I was 30 and he proceeded to say "wow you look 18" and said "one day you're going to have to learn that everything in life isn't free sweetheart." When I went to his office to pay he also said I'm going to have to buy him lunch because they spent extra time working on my car than they planned. Disgusting behavior. I would not recommend this shop to any woman (or really anyone) unless you want to be taken advantage of and upsold. They ended up bleeding one brake so my car would be somewhat drivable. My interior dashboard was also scratched up when I got my car back from them.

After I had it towed to Almar, Frank called me back & asked if I had seen the car, which was strange since I bought it new as a retirement gift for myself in 1995 just before retiring from the Marine Corps. Frank said that the car had a broken mirror and a bad tire, etc. Basically, he refused to install an engine. I asked Almar to install an engine, not tires or mirrors. I guess my car didn't meet Frank's standard. Another dealer will install the engine for $900.00 cheaper. Thanks, Almar.

Don't come here, these fools are clearly not able to handle even removing a simple engine filter, how can you trust them to change oil. I came here after my wife had a couple bad experiences. I can say my experience was just fine, and they did offer cold water as it was hot, which was appreciated! However if you're not familiar with oil changes or basic car maintenance, you might get upsold unnecessarily. Also, beware the " we are out of the cheaper oil gimmick. I find it hard to believe an oil change place could be out of regular conventional oil in the middle of the day, which is an experience I have heard others have as well. $65 for a conventional oil change is what I paid, which is definitely on the high side, considering the cost of the oil and filter is probably about $30. Also, they will deny any coupons you have, so don't try and look them up while you are waiting, or give your email online to request a coupon on the website (they will send it 2 hours later, after it's lost it's use).

I went here to get my oil changed and a car inspection on my car that is just about a year old…read more The first time driving my car after the oil changed, the guard under my car falls off and curls under my car. I had to stop on the side of the highway and it was terrifying. My insurance suggested I get it towed but I was a mile away from another Jiffy Lube so I drove there with the guard dragging, screeching on the ground. They had to tear it off and it is so crumbled up it cannot be reattached. I have reached out to let them know 5 days ago and still no response on how they intend to replace the guard or apologize for this awful and scary experience that caused me to miss my flight for my brothers wedding. The Jiffy Lube tech told me he knew that it was because of the oil change as there is no other reason for the screws to be touched and the oil change was just a day before the incident and the car was not driven since then. I only went to Jiffy Lube because I had a 50% off conventional oil change. I made the technician aware of the coupon before starting the service. AFTER he drained my oil he told me that conventional oil would void my motor warranty and I had to get the $80 oil change instead of the $25 oil change. I felt like I had to say yes as he had waited until draining the oil before telling me and I can't drive without oil. I called Honda and they confirmed that was a lie, oil type will not impact any warranties and suggested that he probably got a percentage of the service so lied to get more money. They assured me that oil type will not void warranties on my car and suggested not to return to a Jiffy Lube. The cop that was waiting with me on the side of the road also discouraged me from ever returning. Finally, they told me my professionally installed tint that came with the car was too dark and failed my inspection. The Honda dealer (Honda South), the original place that inspected the car and a second place that I took after failing all confirmed that my tint was at the legal limit for NC. I am not sure how three establishments say my tint is legal but Jiffy Lube claims it isn't. The third establishment said they can't pass me if I was recently failed and I have to go back to Jiffy Lube which is so disappointing because I don't want to give them anymore money or time. So I will unfortunately wait until December 2025 when tint is no longer part of the NC inspection and cut ties with this place. Strongly discourage anyone from visiting Jiffy Lube, especially this one.
