Sealed the likely entrance, built trap boxes ( YouTube... ) and used various baits. Rats are extremely smart and fast. He'd get the food but not caught. After a a few weeks I gave in and searched for an exterinator. The reviews about Joe prompted me to get in touch. The reviews describe him perfectly ! He came the next day. We spent almost 2 hours going around the house inspecting for evidence of entry points, nests, activity as well as getting to know each other. He is truly a nice guy who knows his craft ! Joe seemed impressed by my approach. Thought, based on what he saw, that there might only be the one and didn't see any obvious additional enrty points. He suggested a few new baits and traps and we decided to stay in touch before moving to poison. He refused payment for his time and advice. He promptly replied to my status texts over the next few days. Nobody caught, no success... until I got him ! Sent Joe pictures. Recieved a congratulations reply ! Now going to keep monitoring for a few weeks, traps set. Maybe my problem is solved. Fingers crossed my visitor didn't have friends and family. I googled a few pest control companies and Joroba promptly responded, and did an in person assessment the same day. Once all the logistics was worked out Jose and Walter came back at 7am the following day. They located and removed one dead squirrel. After a few hours the smell subsided but there was still an odor in a bedroom. Jose and Walter returned the same day, located and removed the second carcass. They returned the next day, patched the holes and thoroughly repaired the roof. The holes were patched so well that it's difficult to locate the repair area, the surface is very smooth. Amazing work. They were polite, cleaned up after and didn't leave until I was satisfied. They weren't rushing or trying to hurry along to get somewhere else. They will be my go to if the squirrels come back, but fingers crossed that they find a new home.

They basically set some mouse traps and told me to patch up some small holes outside. Uhhh... what am I paying you for then? Isn't that part of my $500 dollars. The holes are very small outside if those are not minor holes I don't know what are. What a waste of time and money. I called David because I found his website, he was very experienced and also close to us. He arrived in an hour set traps and always came back to tend them. He even called me once before I could call him to ask whether we had caught a squirrel. Sure enough we did and seven squirrels later we were were finally finished. I have to say the whole event was as painless as it could be and David couldn't have been more of a professional, I highly recommend his services. He also recommended a great contractor for the necessary repairs we needed. The cost for the trapping was more than fair as was the cost for the contractor.
