I walked in due to urgent care told me I should visit ER instead. I had a situation early morning. ER got me in so fast. Everyone was courteous, did their job well. Gave me quality care. Only reason why I didn't give five stars was because everything took so long. In finished all the testing at 1030am, then waited for second reevaluation, I didn't get discharged until 2pm. The only problem I had was the guy in the next room kept screaming at the top of his lungs, cursing, shouting, threatening he was going to shoot down this place. I basically was paying the whole time I had to endure this nonsense. But I was not feeling weak so I just listened to his garbage and tried to sleep later I found out there was a police officer waiting in front of his door. All in all I was taken care of. read more

Your facility needs to do a better job as far as nursing staff. Yesterday, gasoline accidentally sprayed onto my husband's face when he was adding gas into lawnmower. Luckily, he had glasses on but the gas still dripped down from his forehead to his eyes. He was able to make it into house and get water into his eyes and the fire department helped clean him up, etc. Today, his eyes were hurting alot and he was having trouble seeing. He went to er and the doctor told him he had to see a specialist/get meds or he would probably lose his sight. The doctor was professional. The nurse, not professional. Only Kaiser eye doctor they could get him to was in Gig Harbor. About 2 hours away. During heavy traffic in the area. She got mad when my husband said he wouldn't be able to make it and would lose his job. Plus, we don't get paid until Wednesday evening and don't have enough gas to make that long of a trip and back. She asked what was more important: His sight or his job? If he doesn't have a job, no medical insurance and he wouldn't be able to see ANY specialist. Then, she was going to send prescription to Kaiser and was told by my husband that they were already closed. She was supposed to send to Fred Meyer pharmacy just down the street from the hospital. What did she do? Sent it to Kaiser and completely ignored what my husband had to say. Plus, he was supposed to start medicine TONIGHT. Not TOMORROW. Luckily, the pharmacy staff at Fred Meyer know my husband as he works at that store and were able to help him out and he got his medicine. Next time, listen to the patients. Treat them with respect. Don't treat them like village idiots who don't know what the heck is going on. If it wasn't for the patients you obviously have disdain for, you wouldn't have a job now. Would you? read more

I have a picc line,spent 6 hours waiting in the waiting room scan after scan and never once did they check my picc. line or address the pain I was having. I had to pull my own line because it was 12 at night and I needed to leave to start my tpn that was hours late. went to auburn hospital and the blood clot was discovered and it been handled properly read more

I cannot give a fair review because I cannot remember the time I was in the hospital. I had a serious infection go to my brain, and that whole period is missing in my memory. However, it seems like they took good care of me since I recovered well. read more

Not a good experience at this place. Please if you are going to put someone new at registration provide training before having her seating front desk. Secondly I got into the examination room for triage and the RN confirmed they had the medication I needed to take within the window I had. Put me back in the waiting room, then a doctor talks to me and said the nurse will call me to give me my medication. After 3 hours RN and MD called me in again and stated that actually the medication I needed was not available at the ER and had to go to the ER at Auburn. He did not want to send my prescription in to my regular pharmacy as this wasn't the procedure to take according to him. I found it very unprofessional and incompetent to have 5 healthcare workers including the pharmacist and no one checked that they had it in stock. Front desk office experience of ER was a disaster. Lady can't do her job right or even keep eye contact with me while i was expressing my CONCERNS. Basic questions with my insurance and what they're really going to do. I came in to figure out what's wrong with me and walked out 2hrs later with absolutely nothing, no information. Just a $250 walk in bill that will be sent to me later. I came in with good intentions and just wanted to know what's going on and if they can even help me figure it out without paying the price my limbs. Issues and concerns don't bother you but as the patient I ask to be less insensitive and passive aggressive. At least ACT like you care. No eye contact, gave me papers with to fill out with no pen, I find it pretty ironic how the main TV in their waiting room is a bunch of quotes from patients and one is "The nurse treats me as a human being!" as if this shouldn't be the norm???? read more

I went in to get tested for Covid-19. It didn't take long to get tested. However, while I was waiting, I was taken back once, and the person seeing me asked what I was there for. I had to explain that I was tested for Covid-19 and was waiting for results. Then, the lady in charge of billing asked me if my doctor would be called in case of emergency and I was admitted. WTH???? I had to tell her that my husband would be called and she said, "You wouldn't call your doctor?". They didn't even have in their notes that I am married and they didn't have my husband's name and phone number in my records (even though I have been to Multicare numerous times and list my husband as my emergency contact). She also tried to bill insurance I had two years ago and acted like she didn't know anything about the insurance listed on my medical insurance card. I had to keep going up to the front desk, inquiring as to when I could leave after being told several times I would leave momentarily. Whatcha wanna bet that I will be charged $$$$$$ for a visit that should have lasted 1/2 hour? I was there for over 2 hours. They also didn't call my prescription into my regular pharmacy and made me use their pharmacy. I'm sure I was overcharged for my prescription as well. read more

We obviously know that he pandemic has affected our medical providers in a tremendous way. Even with the lack of nurses and doctors, the staff here was so kind and supportive. They treated my 3 year old so well and helped us out so much, even though they all looked overworked and understaffed. I can't rave about my experience here enough. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by this emergency room! (Especially for an emergency room visit.) I was taken right back into a room and registered all within 10-15 mins. The nurse practitioner was warm and welcoming and got me started right away with my care. All of the nurses and registrar were kind and took great care of me. I wish there was 0 . This ER is the worst. I went there at 10pm waited until 1am they put everyone before me and I was in too much pain , I felt bad and I left my baby home. They were mean to me. They lied to me and gave me a room so that I cant see them putting people before me. I waited for 40min and nobody came to check on me in the room. My wife and I arrived at 10:30pm, she had extremely sever rib and abdominal pain. The reception up front wouldn't take her serious or me and continue to sit on their phones and bullshit. We then waited for a doctor for them to ask her what's wrong then made us wait an hour and a half and a bunch of asking later they finally brought her back and gave her pain meds. Told her she had Covid but refused to show proof of posting Covid test the. I arrived at about 2:30 A.M. during our February snowstorm. Someone immediately asked whether I had driven myself (no), and what my symptoms were. Because they were serious, I was taken into a room. I was surrounded by competent people who made decisions as quickly as possible, made me comfortable, and kept both me and my husband informed. Unfortunately for me, because of my blood type, I had to be transferred to Allenmore in Tacoma (also recommended). Covington's facility is clean and modern. If I could give 0 i probably would. We took my 12 month old son to the ED at 10 PM because we realized he has nursemaid's elbow and it was too late to go to the doctor/urgent care. After waiting about 30 minutes they brought us back to the triage area and looked at his elbow which had already popped back in on its own - just a nurse and a PA - and said they didn't have a room but asked if we would hang around for 10-15 minutes to see how he was feeling. After 15 minutes the PA checked on us and told us we could go home after we check out. When we went to check out they said they wanted to check our vitals, so we sat in the hallway (still no rooms) while they tried to check MY vitals before I informed them that my son was the patient. Then twice while we were sitting there nurses asked the biller that was with us if we were "such and such" patient which is a huge HIPAA violation. Then the biller asked us to provide payment right there in the hospital at 11:30 PM. I have never been so appalled at treatment. Now we have received bills for over $3000 and they billed us for seeing a PA and an MD; FAIR health states that in-network nursemaid's elbow should cost $600...we are fighting this bill but everyone be warned - PLEASE do not go here unless you truly cannot get to a different ED. They couldn't keep patients straight and treat you poorly and I would be afraid if it was a true emergency. read more
