I think it's hard to mess up pizza. I mean, there's great pizza and sort of okay pizza. Even Dominos isn't awful.. but I ordered a margherita pizza for takeout. They called it margarita pizza, which should have been my first clue. It arrived cold, there wasn't much sauce or cheese, and it had no tomatoes at all. Gave them lots of tries because we were anxious to have a Mediterranean restaurant locally. For example, we did take out and when we got the food home, we found that the Pitas were moldy. Due to Covid this was one of the only places open for lunch during the middle of the week. The tenders are the market frozen isle variety. The salads were pretty good size but tad expensive. Grilled chicken was super bland. I wish I ordered pizza because I feel like you can't mess that up. Two salads, a burger, adult chicken and fries, kids chicken and fries, mozz sticks and buffalo wings was $90. Def not worth it for price or flavor. Ok so apparently we did this place wrong. We were hungry and like Italian food so we stopped in to get some sandwiches. They weren't good...nothing wrong with them but they were lacking in flavor, texture and just not good deli sandwiches (the tomatoes were old, lettuce was just the iceberg bits, pesto was just garlic and the chicken in one sandwich was cubed so small it was barely there). After reading the reviews and meeting the staff I'm thinking this is a Mediterranean place that's named incorrectly. Half the menu had falafel which confused me at the time, but in hindsight makes so much more sense. Their pizza might be fine, but otherwise get the non-Italian dishes and you should have a better experience than we did. read more

will not return and recommend that any readers of this review avoid. we arrived for lunch today and waited for at least five minutes before anyone even came into the lobby area to greet us. we were not seated, not offered water, and instead told to place our order at the cashier. my partner and his kiddo seated themselves, and i placed the order for our food. the only drinks available were in the refrigerator and all bottled. there were no complimentary or tap water or unsweetened drinks, unfortunately. salads were boxed and tasteless. nothing special and not worth the price of $7 plus for each. bacon pizza was passable, but the white pizza, which i had asked to be loaded with broccoli, tomato, and jalapeno, was flavorless and almost nothing but cheese. additionally, the toppings were mostly raw and crunchy. photo attached. the only rescue to this lunch was the ice cream place a few hundred feet away. tricks or treats, i believe. excellent service there along with authentic, delicious ice cream (try the chocolate!). read more

Phenomenal customer service, owner, and staff. My husband and I were coming back from a long trip and sought out this place an additional 2 hours out of our way because of the vegan options. I had a hiccup with a GrubHub giftcard and no other additional money to re-run a new order when I got to the restaurant. They offered to fix everything free of charge super fast after proof of my email receipt on my phone. The (vegan cheese) pizza was the best and of course from the other reviews, the falafel is what's most ordered. My husband enjoyed his platter, they were fresh and super crisp and crunchy. On that call, asked them for blue cheese sides with my buffalo chicken calzone and was told they would include, but did not receive. I did ask for olives on the small cheese pizza and received them but the pizza sucked. My wife ordered a chicken parm sandwich that she took two bites of before tossing. The worst customer experience that I have encountered in a very long time, last night. I ordered my 2 pizzas (1 cheese and one Buffalo chicken), 3 soft drinks and a salad for $55. Ordered online where I was informed that the pizzas would take a 1/2 hour. This seems fine. When I got there a half hour later, I had to wait with a large group of unhappy customers for an additional half hour for my food. One hour a pizza order is not acceptable. When the clerk told me that my pizza was done, he forgot the second pizza (Buffalo chicken) was not started yet. I was not willing to wait an additional 30 minutes for the other pizza, I asked to have my money back for the pizza we did not get. They said they would refund to the card. A day later, they have not yet done so. If you want to overpay for a disgusting cheese pizza (which is very hard to screw up as bad as they did) then go to Via Aroma. Walked in hoping for a quick road trip stop of pizza! They had a chalk board menu and when we ordered they said they were out of menu items listed. So we proceeded to order a pizza. We had to repeat the order at least four times. Ended up everyone around us got their food before us. We waited 35 minutes and the pizza came out and it was incorrect. We tried to explain we were disappointed and our order was incorrect but they only had two young girls working (maybe 14) and they didn't seem informed on how to help. The young girls must've been training but they didn't understand how to put in a simple order. I understand that the restaurant may be short staffed/struggled in covid, but we received no compensation and the two workers didn't seem to even understand what was going on. The pizza was okay, the cheese pizza (which we didn't order) was very greasy and formed grease bubbles on top. I'm a pizza guy. I take crust very seriously, and I have to say via Roma's pizzas are the best in New England. I know, New Haven is also in New England, so I understand the weight of this claim. If you want pizza, and you're anywhere near North Conway, go to Via Roma. I lived in NYC, and near New Haven, and again, I can say with total confidence this pizza will make you happy. Just the right thickness, excellent fresh ingredients, and friendly staff. The Mediterranean menu is also super fresh if you'd rather have falafel or hummus... but jeez, that pizza. After waiting 30 minutes longer than it was supposed to take they gave us the most unappetizing pizzas I have ever seen. $43.00 gets you unmelted govt cheese, canned chicken, and sauce with the consistency of ragu. Big screen TV sits right above an electric simulated fireplace, I couldn't figure out if they were hoping for a sports bar vibe or a romantic get way. We brought our own wine and sat in a booth; I found the Dancing With The Stars distracting even with the noise off. The set up works well. You place your order at the counter,, pay, and then sit for the order to be delivered. Three other parties were there when we walked in, which is a good sign. We received quick service and tasty food. I wish I had not asked for the salad version of my dish and that I had asked for it to be presented on a sandwich. The tomatoes were sad, and the bottom of the plastic to go container had about six pieces of lettuce that were turning brown at the edges. All and all I'm glad we went with a more traditional fare. We may try the Indian place next time we are in North Conway. I'm reluctant to do that since we live in Redmond, WA which has about three authentic Indian restaurants per square mile. read more

Wanted to find a great pizza place in North Conway but unfortunately I have to keep looking. The menu for the create your own pizza specifically says you can choose your sauce. I ordered a pizza with two toppings and asked for the white sauce. The worker proceeded to tell me my total which was much higher than expected. I asked why and (paraphrasing) she said she rang the white sauce up as extra toppings because that's how they are supposed to do it. Absolutely ridiculous as I wasn't getting extra sauce, just the one. When the pizza was finished, I tried it and wasn't impressed. The eggplant topping tasted like it was frozen prior to becoming a topping and it struggled to stay on the pizza itself which was annoying. The crust was super bland and if I wanted a pie that tasted like this, I could have just made one at home. I give a couple stars because the food was edible and the place was very clean and inviting. If you're in North Conway, NH and are craving pizza head not farther. The food is delicious and the prices are reasonable. There was ample seating for eight of us to sit together at the same table. The owner of the place not only took our order but came out and snapped a few photos for us. She was a very pleasant woman who genuinely cares about her customers. While they don't serve booze they are BYOB (Hell Yeah!) and there happens to be a 7-Eleven right across the street with a decent beer / wine selection.
