I have purchased several cars through the years. I can speak of some good experiences, and some that were not so good. I have always been a GM guy, but I just was not excited about some of the styling and the prices I was seeing in their midsize trucks. Having always heard good things about the Nissan product, and also about the Nissan dealership here in the Boro, I decided that maybe it was time for a change.
Besides being extremely happy with my Frontier, I was extremely pleased with Boro Nissan. I have been a Customer Service Manager for many years, and I feel I have a handle on what passes as good and bad customer service. I also feel I can recognize when this service is genuine, and fake. I can say with certainty everyone went above and beyond what I expected with each interaction and the staff seems to genuinely enjoy taking care of their customers. I felt my wishes were listened to and expected. I communicated what I wanted, and kindly but firmly explained that I was looking to purchase, I would shoot straight, and expected the same from them.
First, let me say, it IS a car dealership. There is negotiation involved. They are going to attempt to make money. You are going to attempt (or should attempt) to save money. There is give and take, back and forth, etc and etc, and that is just how it is when purchasing a vehicle. (Unless you simply accept their first offer, which I think is a no no at any place.) You finally meet in the middle somewhere. Places that advertise "no haggle" are usually much more expensive in my experience, so while I do not like to "haggle", I will.
That being said, I spoke with other dealerships and Boro Nissan by far gave the best price. There did not seem to be a bunch of games and gimmicks with this dealership like there are with other places. I will also say that even there starting price on my vehicle was not unfair or unreasonable.
I worked with Sherman, and he was AWESOME to deal with, and I highly recommend you ask for him! He is the kind of guy you want to just stop in and see every once in a while just because. The Owner Loyalty Manager Lacey, took care of some other things for me and was great to work with! Both Lacey and Sherman followed up with me after the sale to make sure I was happy. I have purchased from other places and once the ink was signed, that was it. You never heard anything from anyone. A simple text or phone call of appreciation means a lot, makes you want to return one day, and makes you want to tell others about the dealership.
Let me say something also about their service dept. I had a leather install scheduled, and Ashly in the service dept is top notch. Great communication and customer service. Very knowledgeable also about what their service dept offers. I recommend asking for her if she is available.
I could go on and on, but to sum it up I highly recommend Boro Nissan. It was a great experience and I look forward to many years of a good relationship with this dealership. read more
