Food was delicious, and the staff were super friendly. There's a parking lot, which makes pickup easy.

The combination of imaginative cocktails, exceptional food, and a unique atmosphere makes every visit memorable. The cocktail program is outstanding. We enjoy trying a variety of their exotic and inventive drinks, and they never disappoint. The flavors are bold, creative, and unlike anything you'll find at a typical restaurant bar. The Yellow Submarine cocktail is quite possibly the best drink I have ever consumed. Made with curry-infused Bermuda black rum, lime, ginger, and Asian five-spice brown sugar syrup, it sounded unusual on paper but came together beautifully. I enjoyed it so much that I ordered four of them that evening, something I rarely do. That was three years ago, and despite returning several times since then, I have never seen it on the menu again. The food is equally impressive. Two years ago, I ordered the Skillet Roasted New York Strip served with Yukon Gold potato-anna, roasted asparagus and spring onions, watercress, and black truffle hollandaise. To this day, it remains one of the top five restaurant meals I have ever eaten. Every component on the plate was exceptional. The steak was perfectly prepared, the crispy potato galette was irresistible, and the black truffle hollandaise elevated the entire dish to another level. It was the kind of meal that stays with you long after the plate is cleared. I would gladly drive 300 miles just to eat it again. Most recently, I had the wild mushroom bisque, and it was the best soup I have ever consumed. Rich, creamy, buttery, intensely mushroomy, and perfectly balanced, it was everything a mushroom soup should be. The addition of crispy pickled onions and crème fraîche added texture and contrast that made an already outstanding soup even better. My wife and I enjoyed it so much that we returned the very next day hoping to order it again, only to discover it had already rotated off the menu. My only complaint about The Ice Plant is that some of their greatest creations seem to disappear as quickly as they arrive. While I appreciate the constantly evolving menu and understand that seasonal changes are part of what makes the restaurant special, there are certain items that deserve a permanent home. The Yellow Submarine cocktail, the wild mushroom bisque, and the Skillet Roasted New York Strip with black truffle hollandaise are three of the finest things I have experienced there. The fact that I can vividly remember one of these items from three years ago and another from two years ago says everything. Great restaurants serve good food. Truly special restaurants create dishes and drinks that stay with you for years. The Ice Plant has done that for me more than once, and that is why we continue to return whenever we visit St. Augustine.

The Bloody Mary is where it lost me. $15 is a serious price for a cocktail, and mine arrived as a tall glass of ice with what was left over poured around it. By the time I was a few sips in, it was mostly meltwater. For that money I'd expect the drink to outlast the ice. Suggestion for the house: given the name, lean into it. Send everyone home with a free bag of ice -- at least then I'd feel like I paid for something I got to keep. Would go back for the food. Would think twice before ordering another cocktail.

We called to see if they might have a table available, and they said they could accommodate us but that there might be a 15-20 minute wait. They told us to come in so they could add us to the waitlist, so that's exactly what we did. While we waited, we headed upstairs to the bar for a drink. Luckily, we were able to find two seats at the bar, which worked out perfectly since it was me, my husband, my father-in-law and his wife. I ordered the Cannonball, and wow, it was so good! I would definitely recommend it and would absolutely order it again. My husband had the Evening Star, which he really enjoyed as well. It was definitely on the drier side, but still really good. As we were finishing our drinks, we were told our table was ready, so we headed downstairs and were seated outside on the patio. It was a hot day, but thankfully there was an umbrella over the table, which made a huge difference. It actually wasn't bad at all! And then came the moment that really impressed me about the staff. When we got upstairs to the bar, I had left my purse hanging on the back of my chair! I was carrying a few bags and must have been distracted because I completely forgot it. To my surprise, the amazing bartender actually brought my purse downstairs and found us at our table to return it. I was SO shocked that I had left it behind and so incredibly thankful that he noticed it, kept it safe, and then took the time to find us. I can't thank him enough! What an amazing and attentive staff. For an appetizer, we ordered the fried green tomatoes and WOW they were absolutely delicious! Definitely something I would order again. For my entrée, I went with the hand-cut filet, cooked medium well. It was perfect! I personally prefer steaks that are on the thinner side, not overly fatty, and nice and tender, and this was exactly what I like. I probably could have ordered it medium, but since it was my first time here, I wanted to play it safe and make sure there wasn't any blood in the center. Overall, we had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Great drinks, delicious food, a beautiful atmosphere, and most importantly, such an amazing and attentive staff. Since this was our first visit, my husband and I will definitely be making reservations ahead of time next time so we can hopefully sit upstairs and enjoy the beautiful water view. Already looking forward to coming back!

We started with the Cuban egg rolls, what a great idea, pork, ham, Swiss, pickles and mustard all packed in an egg roll wrapper. Next was the onion soup very rich and comforting . The NY Strip stuffed with Boursin cheese and garlic shrimp just incredible. French dip made with NY Strip good but not great . Show stopper of the evening was the key lime crème Brûlée, simple but simply irresistible. Our waitress was great, shout out to Mirela Great bar area as well , great vibe and view of Castillo de San Marco from the rooftop. Parking can be hard to find so get there early and definitely make a reservation

Seeing a 4.9 rating honestly made me pretty skeptical becuase usually places that hyped never live up to it. But wow... this one actually did. I'm pretty sure my 5 stars are gonna help push this place to a full 5.0 The design itself is cute but not exactly perfection, and the checkout line process could definetly be smoother during busy times. BUT the food... thats where this place absolutley shines. The Arepas Special with the corn pancakes filled with eggs, avocado and tomatoes was an absolute BEAST. Fresh, flavorful and super satisfying. Then the Avocado Toast with the sweet pumkin pieces just blew the rest of our taste buds out the window. Such a weird combo on paper but somehow worked sooo good. And finishing it all with a Cafe con Leche and a blueberry scone just put the final dot on this breakfast experiance. It honestly didnt feel like "just breakfast" it felt like an experiance you remember later. Big shoutout to Huhny for a human she is! She absolutley knocked it outta the ballpark with recommendations, brought everything fast to the table, and you could really feel the passion and positive energy she delivered Thank you team, we'll 100% be back next time we visit your cool town St. Augustine.

The mushroom tostadas were probably the best tostadas i've ever had. They were so flavorful and fresh I ate my whole plate. Definitely a must try if you're from or in the area.
