Was a little disappointed with the wings - they are good, but not as good as we hoped for! But our server Malik! He was amazing!!!

Didn't expect to come to the Coast and get subpar seafood but great bbq, but we did. I went off the suggestion of a friend and tried Murky Waters. We were hungry, especially my 5 year old niece. There was a short wait to get our table and once I saw the wing special menu, I understood why. It's a two story building with a causal feel. I ordered her the quesadilla (per her request) and ordered a half order of pulled pork nachos and 5 wings with sweet Asian sauce (it's wing Wednesday). I don't know what was better-the wings or the nachos. The wings are smoked then flash fried to make them crispy. The sauce was not spicy but sweet just like the name depicted. They were really good. My nachos were good as well! Probaly would have liked them more if my niece didn't eat half of them. Pictured is the half order of nachos. I almost got a full order but decided half was fine since I was going to get the wings. 5 stars for our server Maygan. Despite having a nice kids menu, they didn't have coloring sheets but she found some stickers and brought my niece a pen and the paper silverware sleeves. You wouldn't have known they didn't have coloring sheets because my niece was super happy!

This place was recommended by a friend. I love BBQ, but it's been a while since I had some I thought was special. Thank goodness for Murky Waters. I had the pulled pork sandwich and it was DELICIOUS! The sides were good as well. I took a large group and the service couldn't have been better. Looking forward to eating there again and trying something else.

My date had listed a few restaurants that she wanted to try. Murky Waters was one of them. My sole reason picking Murk Waters was that it was a barbecue restaurant. Who doesn't want to try new barbecue places. First off, the parking in the area was not very good. I'm not from Ocean Springs so I should've researched this before going. I had to spin around a few times to find a spot. I finally found a salon that was closed for the night to park. It was a quick walk from the place so it wasn't too bad. When we entered the building we were greeted by the wait staff. We were asked if we wanted to go upstairs where live music was being played. It was only $10 but we decided to stay downstairs to focus on eating. I looked at the menu for a bit. I noticed sliced brisket and quickly made my decision to get that. I went with fries and mac and cheese for sides. My date got the burnt ends. The food came back super fast. I didn't know how I felt about that. It was a good surprise because I was hungry. The Mac and cheese was really good. I also enjoyed the waffle fries. The brisket was alright. I guess I've been spoiled because the flavor of the brisket didn't jump out to me. I was expecting a more smoky flavor and what I tasted wasn't that. Don't get me wrong it was not bad. It just was not memorable. I do want to try other things on the menu though. Maybe I'll come back.

Seating upstairs and downstairs, though menus tend to vary between them. The day we went, they only served wings upstairs, but the full menu downstairs. Looks like there is a stage upstairs for performers; not sure if they only have performers on certain days of the week, but there was no performer on a Wednesday night. Servers and hosts were nice. Food was okay. Burn ends were on point but the brisket and Mac and cheese were dry and bland. It took a long time (felt like at least 45 min, if not longer) for us to get our food. Probably won't be back.

Still good... New building, same great taste! Service was decent and fast ... this place would be my top recommendation for restaurant in the area...

Pretty good stop, plenty of drinks to choose from. Atmosphere was on point. This place is in historic Ocean Springs. Good food however not award winning nor Anything to write home about but good stop if you're hungry and want something to drink.

Beautiful new location with great food! We sat downstairs on a Sunday night and had great service! If we hadn't had kiddos with us we would have joined in on the live music upstairs :) The loaded waffle fry appetizer is delicious even without adding meat! All of their bbq sauces were good, and my pulled pork was the best. We live in lower AL and have some great bbq but murky waters is my new fave!

I ordered the Rio Grande plate, which was a sampling of pork ribs, brisket taco, brisket empanada and sides. The ribs were fall off the bone tender, but lacked flavor and served room temperature. The taco was tough, cold and I only got one bite in that I couldn't chew through. The empanada had great texture but was greasy and once again, room temperature. In fact, the only thing on my plate served hot were the beans, which were fantastic, sweet and smoky. My wife's baked potato came piping hot and I sampled the turkey which was really good and tender. The service was adequate, stood at the host stand for an awkward minute or two before being greeted. Our server was nice but not overly attentive or friendly. Seemed to be fairly clean and well kept in the dining room and bar area. May come back and try it again, but wouldn't go out of my way based on this experience.

We ordered Shrimp smackers and Cheese Bombs for appetizers. Both very good! I ordered the Seafood Nachos. The Nachos came with a sweet chili sauce on top. It was great at first then it became too much. I would have it on the side or order without it next time. My husband ordered the three shrimp tacos with string fries. They were so good! If you have never been here I would highly recommend it. You are missing out.

I ordered the flavored champagne flight during brunch and specifically asked for very light syrup because the drinks are usually extremely sweet. When the flight came out, it tasted exactly the same as the regular version -- overwhelmingly sweet to the point that I genuinely could not drink it. When I politely mentioned it, the bartender/manager said "that's just how it comes" and initially refused to do anything about it. I sent the flight back and ordered a plain glass of champagne instead. Our server told us she would speak to the manager and have her come talk to us, but apparently the manager refused multiple times because she was "too busy." Eventually, the same flight was brought back out after they said they had poured some out and added more champagne on top. Unfortunately, it was still far too sweet, and I still couldn't drink two of the four glasses. What disappointed me most wasn't even the drinks -- it was the customer service. Mistakes happen, but the dismissive attitude from management and lack of concern made the experience frustrating and uncomfortable. The server also seemed irritated at being caught in the middle rather than interested in resolving the situation. I still tipped 20% because I know serving isn't easy, but after today I honestly don't see myself coming back.

Amazing place and owner!…read more My boyfriend (who is from the Midwest) decided to change up our lunch plans and have me (from Ocean Springs) try the "home of Chicago style hoagies" place. So I did end up getting a cheeseburger (playing it "safe") but it was a HOMERUN! Grilled onions were superb. Crunchy pickles. The bun was buttered and just *chef kiss*. I did get onion rings and egg rolls as sides and they complimented very well to my cheeseburger. Connor ordered the Italian Hoagie with Au Jus and peppered. I had 2 bites. One on top and one on bottom with ALL the au jus - I definitely loved the juicier bite. The owner asked which one and upon telling him the juicier bite he mentioned the Chicago way is to have them "BAPTIZED and PEPPERED" and that sounded perfect.
