I had a great experience with Josh and Kyle at Murphy's. My dryer vent wasn't blowing through the outside vent and I knew something was wrong. I called Murphy's and they told me not to run the dryer as it could be a fire hazard. They came out and were able to scope it and see where it broke. They found a creative way to get to the vent and fix it, which wasn't easy, but they went the extra mile and did it. Since I needed a cleaning as well, they made the time to clean my vent, showed me areas to be careful of, and answered all of my questions (I always have many). They were very professional, clean, respectful of my home, made sure to close the door so my cats didn't escape. They told me what to expect in the future as the vent is old (probably 40 years), and how long the fix should last. They explained what the next steps would be when it does break. When I say I highly recommend them, I mean it. They are fantastic. Honest, trustworthy, knowledgeable, and have very competitive pricing. If you're looking for a company you can trust, this is it. I wouldn't use anyone else. Side note: if you live in Chesterbrook your vent is old and can break easily. I would call them right away and have them check your vent and do a cleaning. Trust me. The best service and advice I have EVER received from a repair type service of ANY kind! Dryer heating element would not go off. Called D&K appliances in Newtown Square (where we have purchased all of our appliances for over 30 years). They came immediately, fixed what they could and identified the root of the problem: dryer vent clogged. Referred me to Murphy's. They responded immediately and got here within a day! Sucked out the vent...got a basketball size lump of lint...adjusted the venting system and I am now good to go. This company was amazing. I was having issues with our dryer vent and had 2 other cleaning services come out within the last 6 months, but it still wasn't working properly, and our clothes were still damp. Murphy's dryer vent company responded immediately and saw the issue as soon as they came to our house. The previous companies weren't cleaning our vents all the way through to the outside vent. These guys went up to our attic and unclogged the vent and replaced a part on the tubing behind our dryer to make it look more secure and made sure it was properly installed. We recently used Murphy's Dryer Vent Service to evaluate damages to our existing dryer vent system caused by a competing Vent Cleaning Company. Murphy's Dyer Vent Service was outstanding. The gentlemen who came out today were very professional and knowledgeable!!! We just redid a third floor laundry room to fit full sized machines. There has not been a washer and dryer used in that area for over 14 years. My contractor noted that the vent was really dirty and said it should be cleaned before we use the new dryer. We've had our dryer vent cleaned a few times - and these guys by far are the most outstanding service we've had - they are very friendly and professional - they showed me how our dryer was not ideally hooked up to begin with and then a couple POUNDS worth of lint that was just in the first two feet of the line... and again, this dryer vent has been cleaned ... we are also in a townhouse with a second floor laundry room - and not everyone will do a dryer vent cleaning for a line that is not 10 feet or less from an exterior wall.... I called Murphy's for what I thought was a simple dryer vent cleaning. Unfortunately the team ran into several complications along the way. The dryer was disconnected inside of the walls and there were several fire hazards as well as hinderances to the dryer properly functioning.
