Murphy's Law is an iconic Irish pub in Downtown Chandler. The food for the most part is good. It's not really food I would eat, but if you like pub food you'll be happy. We sometimes go there for a weekend brunch. We love reading the walls. They have people post dollar bills with whatever they want to write in and staple it on the walls. There was live music and the band was very good, but it was a bit too loud for me for brunch. The place is pretty dark., as well. I recently ate here and I can't wait to go back and eat here again. I had the corn beef and cabbage. It's what remembered my mom making us on St. Patrick's Day when I was a kid. My friend had the shepherds pie. She said it was delicious. We went the day after St.Patrick's Day and the place smelled clean with somewhat of a bleach scent. I was very impressed how clean it was because it was busy on St.Patrick's Day. They have a fish and chips special that draws the crowd of every age group on Tuesdays. I was having a craving for some chicken wings and my wife said this place has them on special every Wednesday so I said let's go! I have never been here before and was pleasantly surprised to find such a cool and inviting Irish pub. We ordered 6 Jameson smoked wings and they were big with great flavor and so tender that they were falling off the bone. They were only 75 cents each which is a great value! I asked if they can make a black and tan as not everyone knows how to make them and was excited when told they did. It's a layered beer drink made of half stout (Guinness) and half pale. Since the stout is less denser than the ale, it floats to the top creating a two tone. It was delicious and totally hit the spot! My wife thought it was so cool! I recommend this place for great food and great service. The servers are very friendly and attentive . PLEASE TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!!! The bar wouldn't let me in with my service animal this past Friday at 8:40. The bar wasn't even half full. The doorman said I couldn't come in and that it was their policy. We were surrounded by 4 security as well as the night manager and said we weren't coming in even after I let them know they couldn't block me just because of my service animal. The manager stated that the law is going to change. When I contacted them to try and resolve this, in the first email, they said it was policy to have people wait outside until a table was available inside. First of all flat out LIE!!! Secondly, even if that was the case, my wife and friend were already inside AT A TABLE!!! When I explained this through another email, they didn't respond back so, as promised, I am starting a social media blast on them. I am also contacting the Arizona ADA and the BBB as well as the Chandler chamber of commerce to let them know how Murphy's treated a 100% service connected disabled veteran. This was our first stop on a bar-hopping tour after we left a Mexican brewery. OK, this was actually our second stop! Lol! For some reason, stopping at an Irish Pub sounded like a good idea. The pub was full, so we sat at the bar towards the end of the room. I ordered a Guinness draft of course and Chris ordered one of their light beers. I don't know what it was, but this Guinness was the best tasting Guinness I ever had. It was poured at the perfect temperature. It was rich and smooth and had a malty sweetness to it. It was poured to perfection, which was indicative of its creamy head. Different than I was used to. One of the distinctive qualities I love about Guinness is how smooth the beer is with notes of coffee and chocolate. A lot of people don't like Guinness because they think it tastes flat or lack the carbonation. A common mistake people make is drinking the beer too early. You have to allow the nitrogenated bubbles to fully reach the top. That's how the creamy head is formed and is the hallmark of a correctly poured Guinness. Even though we already ate at the previous place, we ordered their Poutine with corned beef. I don't know what kind of gravy it came with, but we did not like it and where was the corned beef? Plus the cheese was breaded! We ended up leaving most of it uneatened unfortunately. Note to self: Never get Poutine in an Irish pub! What was I thinking? I actually asked the bartender if they had gravy similar to a Sheppard's pie, but to no avail. I think that would've been good over the fries. Off to the next bar! read more

We have been here several times (especially at night on weekends for live music and karaoke on Sunday), but apparently I never reviewed the food. We stopped by today around 430 to grab early dinner after stopping by the multicultural festival. We got seated right away and got some drinks ordered. It took a while to get the food order in, but once we did, it came out pretty quickly. I ordered the seasonal fruit chicken salad (no cheese or chicken). This is the best salad in downtown chandler. There aren't many vegan options down here, so any time we come out here I always order the salad and it never disappoints. The balance of the bitter greens with the sweet fruit, crisp almonds, and the tangy balsamic vinaigrette makes for a delicious salad. It's always a large portion too so it's always filling enough as well. Hubby got the shepherds pie and this is what he had to say: The Shepherd's Pie is genuinely the best that I've ever had. The beef was in bite-sized chunks, and had the flavor and texture of an pot roast, with a not-quite gravy stew, the Yukon gold mashed potatoes were savory and slightly sweet, and paired incredibly well with the cheddar jack cheese, and the puff pastry on top was an incredible accent to the dish. Everything was cooked perfectly, it was like a savory, home-style symphony in my mouth. If you love shepherd's pie, you have to get this. Even if it's not your go-to dish, order it. You won't regret it! Our server Savannah was great. Friendly and helpful and made sure we had drinks filled and enjoyed our meals even while having to run back and forth to tables around the bar. We love coming here and will continue to do so whether it's for the night out, hanging with friends, catching a game, or just stopping by to have dinner. Service has been slow when we are here on busy nights but that's to be expected with a popular downtown hangout. It would just help to have more bartenders at the back of the bar when the front is packed. read more

Excellent food! We were there on wing night. Several members of our party enjoyed wings while others ordered off the menu. We were all satisfied with our supper! They have "special" nights almost every night of the week. My only complaint is it was SUPER loud. We had trouble hearing our server. My husband and I absolutely love this place for a lazy Saturday morning destination. They are very dog friendly and friendly all around. Zac, the handsome bartender is outstanding and the whole waitstaff provides the same outstanding service. What made our experience even better was the music provided by Tom Kumagai. We went for the fish BOGO. Fish was very good. The fries were cold and rubbery. The waitress absolutely ignored us. She waited on several groups all which arrived after us. I stopped into Murphy's Law on a whim for a late lunch today. Tuesday evening was pretty slow, but judging by its location and how the staff moves with a sense of urgency, they get pretty busy. They're set up for live music and I believe they do trivia nights which sounds very fun and might be reason enough for me to go back. My food came incredibly quickly and I was in and out just as I had hoped I'd be. Murphy's Law has a few entrees that sound incredible, but I opted for the Poutine. They take an Irish twist on it with corned beef and an almost breakfast gravy. My first few bites were incredible, but after bite four or five I decided that this wasn't the dish for me. The gravy is the star of the show here, and it kind of drowns out all of the other flavors. The corned beef pieces are also very small. On bites where I had a forkful of beef, I could hardly taste it. I came in absolutely starving, and I could only get halfway through my meal. Their poutine is only $10.00 too. So, if you're a fan of it, it's an amazing deal. It could easily be split between two people or eaten later as leftovers. I'll be coming back to try something different, but the Poutine simply didn't do it for me. I'm optimistic about this place, either way. Still worth a shot! read more

I did start off 1st with the Frosted Chocolate Peanut Butter Whiskey shot, and damn this was amazing, its like a Wendy's Frosty with a kick, doesn't even full like your drinking booze, so good and before you know you have ordered another one and another one and so on..... Me and my wife were bar hopping and actually skipped this place at first. Maybe it was the song currently playing or maybe it was the young adults that were hanging around in the front but we skipped it at first. In a way I regret it but in the end I'm happy we saved it for last. Whe I first walked in I noticed it was light the way I love it. Dim but light enough for you to have a great conversation with some one. Perfect for a first date or first impression haha. When I walked to the bar I asked the first bartender for a modelo and he nodded ok. And immediately a second bartender asked if I wanted something but I notationed that I just ordered form the first bartender. While I waited for my drink he stayed busy closing people out and washing glasses but never got my drink. And when bartender #2 saw what happend, I told him I ordered a model and right away he poured my drink and and its on him. So I had to tip him big. It really made this experience worth it.
