During a recent visit to Chandler, I had just missed a few friends heading to SanTan Brewing Company for dinner one night. They spoke very positively about their visit, saying they had a great time and enjoyed good food and drinks. I felt like I had missed out. Then, on the second night I was in Chandler, we went back for a catered event in the back room of SanTan Brewing Company. It turns out I didn't miss out at all! I have to be honest: I'm not a beer drinker, so I didn't know what to expect from the experience, other than that my friends had been there two nights prior. But upon our arrival, we were immediately escorted past the many tables and the bar to an enclosed back room with tables set up for us, a buffet line, and a private bar. We had our own serving staff and bartender, and after a quick welcome, we were encouraged to go up and place our drink orders. I chose to stick with non-alcoholic drinks, though everyone who ordered drinks (mostly beer) left happy with their selections. My husband and I had a little date morning this weekend and wrapped it up with lunch at SanTan Brewing Company--such a fun treat! We started with the nachos and they were absolutely mouthwatering in every way! I didn't feel like I was missing a thing by ordering the non-GF beer cheese sauce on the side for my hubby. I went with the Naked Burger on a GF bun (and can I just say how much I love when places offer GF buns?! It makes everything feel complete and just brings me so much joy!). It was blackened to perfection and came with sweet potato fries--just a heads up, they told us they're not coated with anything gluten-y, but they're also not made in a dedicated GF fryer. I want to start off with our waiter Russ he provided some of the best service we've gotten. He was attentive, kind and made sure we were happy. We used to come to the phx area every couple of months when my in laws lived here but now that they don't anymore we haven't had the opportunity to be back at SanTan for a little over 2 years. Late night dinner with teammates and looking for a spot that was chill, had a solid food and drink menu and of course not to far away, this was our choice. It turned out to be perfect! This is pretty much a sports bar. Tons of tv's with various sports and other entertainment showing, Larger open space with tables to accommodate parties of all sizes, and even patio seating. I decided to try the fried chicken sandwich and my buddy tried the chipotle burger. Both of them were very delicious and perfect size. Came with fries, which were perfectly cooked. The service was not too bad our waitress because we sat at the bar kind of disappeared for a while, but looked like she was a manager getting things done. I am literally so sad to be writing this review. We have come to SanTan so many times in the last 9 years, brought every visitor here, and enjoyed many meals. I think tonight was our last visit. I want to start off by saying, service was STELLAR. Sydney was our server, and she was so friendly. 5/5 for her! The hosts were also friendly and welcoming. We waited about 20 minutes for our table tonight (Friday) at 6pm. Now...onto the burgers. My burger (ordered medium well) was completely charred, as was the bacon on it. I couldn't even force myself to eat half of it. There was no flavor, like the meat was unseasoned. The buns are now too soft/sweet and got soggy quickly. The fries are also significantly less seasoned and much softer than usual. 2/5 for the food. My husband ordered the same burger I did, but cooked medium. I finally made it to SanTan Brewing Company after hearing so many friends rave about their pot pies, and wow - they lived up to the hype. We started with the Buttermilk Onion Rings and I swear the pile was massive. The look on my face had to have been priceless when they landed on our table. Crispy, golden, and perfect for sharing. The main reason I came was for the pot pies. I had a taste of the Smoked Chicken Pot Pie (perfection), but went with the Bourbon Brisket Pot Pie for myself. First off, whaaaat?! Totally worth it. The smoke, the brisket, that flaky crust - every bite was hearty and packed with flavor. They definitely don't skimp on the meat. Service was good overall. The greeters were friendly, and while we had to flag our server down a couple times, it didn't take away from the experience. The atmosphere is fun and casual, the kind of place that works just as well for a relaxed dinner as it does hanging out with friends over a beer. Recently went back to San Tan brewery and of course it did not disappoint! My favorite is the mushroom Gouda burger, absolutely chefs kiss! I like getting a side of buffalo sauce for a bit of spice. The fries are some of my fav too! The chicken fingers also were crispy and juicy. It was a beautiful evening so they had the garage doors opened up to the bar. Service was great although they were busy but they stuck together as a team. I'll definitely be back and encourage to try the Mr. Pineapple since you get a lovely piece of pineapple. Team builder brought us to Downtown Chandler and when you have so many competing taste, San Tan Brewing is a great call. Typical bar food as you would expect. The vibe around sports season I expected to be good as there are plenty of TVs and if you pay very close attention, you'll notice the homage to Star Wars, which is located above the bar. On this visit, I had the fish and chips. Somewhat disappointing as I was expecting several pieces of fish, but instead got two big large pieces and a whole lot of off brand fries. Service was great as we were a party of 12. With outdoor seating, I thought I'd still have a view of March Madness on the TV's, but was extremely limited. The nacho chips were nice and light. I liked that they were thin. I enjoyed the cheese and sour cream on the chips along with the beans. The shredded chicken was a bit dry. It had a little bit of white onion and diced tomato. The Brussel sprouts looked super cooked, very roasted with dark charred spots. I prefer mine to be lightly roasted without the dark char. The classic beer bread seemed more like a soft pita to me. I liked it better than plain bread. The cilantro lime hummus seemed a bit plain. I think I've had better hummus from the grocery store. The Green Chile Pork Mac Skillet had a smoked taste. The pork carnitas were a bit dry despite being covered by the green chile cheese sauce and pasta shells. It wasn't terrible and it wasn't delicious. I received the Caesar salad actually I take that back. It was not a Caesar salad. It was a salad, but kind of southwestern. It was almost like a Caesar, but it had cornbread croutons. It was pretty good, but it wasn't very filling at all, but it was Well proportion. The staff was really nice, but of course at the airport the prices are overcharged. I will tell you the ambience was decent for the airport. They now charge a to go 10% service fee and credit card fee so my total after tax and the above brought my 11 and some change to right under 15 dollars. What I opened getting home is embarrassing. Josh is the manager here is amazing and super helpful but I will say there were some times I was here that the servers just didn't really seem to be very attentive. There was one day I was there and we were asked to close out since he was heading out, which is no problem at all, but after that no one would help us or check in. It was to the point that I had to ask a group of servers if we could order because no one would help. None the less I do like this spot and we do go frequently and I like the variety in the menu and the specials that they have sometimes. We had a pretty good experience after dining in at San Tan Brewing Co for the first time. We were starving and hadn't tried out this place yet, so we decided to give it a shot. The patio wasn't very crowded so we sat outside. The service wasn't good, which is part of why I'm taking off a couple stars. The food came quickly but we had to flag her down for refills, the bill, etc when she didn't seem to be doing much. The patio chairs are also hard as a rock and we would have appreciated a mister or fan on. The food was decent-- the Grilled Quesadilla appetizer was the best thing we ordered. We added Baja Shrimp and it was very juicy and cheesy, without being too fattening. Our entrees were just okay, my Chicken Tenders were good but my Mom didn't love her Chicken Bacon Melt.
