I was tired and yet she made me smile! And also Aaron at the valet who gave me a good tip about parking for free right by the hotel since I got in so late and would be heading out before the parking meters would start charging again. Both of them went above and beyond and turned a pretty good, but average hotel stay into a 5 star stay. The location is perfect- walkable to a bunch of shopping and restaurants in downtown St Pete. The hotel appears to be valet only, but there are other options nearby too. The interior is clean and updated and the room was comfortable. I appreciated that they had breakfast included, and definitely grabbed some yogurt and eggs before heading out. Overall, good hotel, lovely staff!

I've stayed in other Historic renovated Hotels and the air conditioning never worked well. The only bummer is there is no parking for this hotel. It's Valet or you have to find Public parking. We were going to a concert 4 blocks away so we parked in that garage and just walked back to the hotel. About a 5 minute walk.

The lobby and overall appearance initially seem very nice, and there are definitely some positives here. The pool area is well maintained, the fitness center is also very nice, and the Crabtree hygiene products smell amazing. The hotel offers several convenient amenities including a coffee shop, bar, restaurant, and a small store for late-night snacks or essentials. For business travelers, the conference or ballroom spaces also appear spacious and well suited for events. Parking was valet-only when I arrived, but the unlimited in-and-out service was definitely a plus. One thing I found a little unusual was that the bellman was off duty, so while they did provide me with a luggage cart, I was asked to bring it back downstairs myself. Unfortunately, once I got beyond the lobby, the experience became a bit more underwhelming. The elevators are noticeably worn and could definitely use updating. My room itself was where things really fell short. The carpet was visibly dirty, the beds were not very comfortable, and the bathroom feels overdue for a renovation. Housekeeping could also be more thorough, as I found hairs in the shower upon arrival. I did appreciate that the staff provided a list of recommended local restaurants along with a map, although it would have been much more helpful if the hotel's location had been clearly marked. Overall, this hotel has some strong amenities and good features, especially for business travel, but the guest room cleanliness and condition need improvement. I'll be here for a few more nights and may update my review if my experience changes.

I have had 3 days of no room cleaning. To be honest i really don't care about the "cleaning" because I keep it clean, just want the garbage emptied and towels replenished. Had to call down to front desk yesterday just to get fresh towels and told them not to worry about emptying the garbage. Today I had a knock on the door around 11:00 am and asked them to come back and even put the "room service" tag on the outside of my door when I left at 12:30 pm. Returned to my room at 10 pm and no new towels, no garbage emptied ! If I would have had a free cancellation for my remaining days I would leave and find another hotel, but since I cannot get a refund I am staying here until my check out date even though it's horrible. I really truly am so disgusted. The sad part is that the front desk staff, outdoor/valet staff and restaurant/bar staff are amazing and I know they are not to blame nor should be a reflection on the negativity of the rooms or the hotel itself because the problems are not their fault. It's just an ugh hotel!!! I cannot wait to get out of here!!! Note: I am here for 5 nights and my room was only cleaned after my first night, since then not one thing has been done in it!!! Not even a towel replacement

This is a review for the Vinoy Spa…read more They are having a local only Spa package that comes with a massage, a facial, and $25 to either parasol or Paul's landing. Since the facial and massages are usually $225.each, this is a pretty good deal. The one major downside to the spa is the valet parking. You get two hours validated for $12, but then it is $12 an hour after that. If you get to the spa early to make sure you're not rushed, plus spending time after eating, this ends up being a not inexpensive valet parking bill. I'm really surprised there isn't a flat rate or that they don't validate more of your parking. Especially given how expensive the treatments are. I have to say I like the hard rock spa a lot more. The main reason is because the facilities here are small and seem a little rundown. The actual spa services are separate from where their steam room and salt room is. So you have to walk in your robe through the hallway to get from one to the other. Also, the salt room and steam room weren't turned on when we got there so we had to wait for both rooms to heat up. It is a bit confusing on how to turn them on, so we were lucky that one of the employees was nearby for us to ask. All the services are fantastic though. So if you're coming just for the service and not for a Spa experience, this place is pretty good. The massage was one of the best I've had in a long time. My masseuse really got into my back, which was fantastic. I thought the facial was well done as well. So if your plan is to come solo, this place isn't bad, but if you're coming with friends and want to experience more than just your services, I wouldn't recommend this place. I was also surprised that you don't get access to the pool with your Spa service, which is pretty standard for other places.

Elevators are awkward, you have to scan your key card to go to your floor, but the scanner doesn't always register the card right away so the elevator starts moving and I've seen multiple people miss the floor they wanted to go to because of this. Unfortunately, the overall experience fell short of expectations. While the location was excellent, the rooms were noisy due to street sounds and thin walls, making restful sleep difficult. The property also had a persistent musty odor, which detracted from the ambiance. Staff interactions were underwhelming, assistance felt minimal and lacked the hospitality you'd expect. Additionally, the elevators were notably slow, adding unnecessary delays. The most disappointing aspect was the rooftop bar, Cane & Barrel. Marketed as a highlight, it failed to deliver. The view consisted largely of a parking lot rather than the picturesque cityscape we anticipated. Seating arrangements were ok but the atmosphere lacked energy. Service was slow, and the drinks were poorly crafted both in taste and presentation. What should have been a memorable rooftop experience ended up being the biggest letdown of the stay.

Its central location in the city that is close distance in Uber from the Dali Museum and the Chihuly Collection, walking distance from the Museum of Fine Arts and the St. Pete Pier, and close to a barrage of restaurants, bars, and clubs in the downtown area. The luxurious, corner-end bedroom were quite cozy and comfortable with an elongated hallway that had a dresser and a bougie fridge, a clawfoot tub in the gorgeous bathroom with red-painted and marble-tiled walls along with a standing shower with excellent water pressure and tiled enclosing. The golden-framed mirror that hung over the clawfoot tub was really stylish as well as modern and bourgeoise. The four-post bed with down comforters and bedding was quite nice along with the velvet reading chairs, coffee table desk, extra set of dressers, and wardrobe closet in dark mahogany wood. We had consistent internet connection that was provided complimentary. They had hair dryers, toiletries, and digital programming for the LCD TV, and we could enjoy some chill time with the dark burgundy curtains. The spare robes in the wardrobe closet was nice as is the iron and ironing board. While having access to the rooftop bar that became a nightclub in the evening was nice as we was the Birth and Vine restaurant (which had deliciously rich food), overall, the amenities were not as plentiful as you may think for what you pay nightly. The complimentary breakfast was scarce in selection and variety. It's really there if you need to grab an apple, a packaged muffin, or bland bagel on the go. They do have boxed individual cereals with milk as well as hot coffee and hot water to use for tea (they didn't have much of a variety of tea bags). If you want room service, the hours are limited, and we preferred to walk down the street to hit up some other restaurants. While the express check-out and luggage storage is nice, if you want to self park, it's not that convenient as most of the lots are away from the building. We valeted for the time we were there. While that wasn't as expensive as other places, if you're looking to self park, you're still going to spend a few dollars depending on where. Don't do street parking as you will get tickets. For the money you spend, the Birchwood offers luxurious rooms with direct walking distance to all the museums, restaurants, bars, and other attractions St. Petersburg has to offer. There's plenty to enjoy with the hotel, especially, if you're looking to hit the city during the day and night, while enjoying the glamorous rooms and bathrooms.

Since 6 am businesses begin loading and unloading it's loud all the time. If you are a light sleeper, like me, this isn't the place for you. The parking experience is quite terrible you can valet but they don't keep cars on grounds, therefore it takes a while to get your vehicle. You must text valet in advance. Everything in this hotel is touch-less/person-less. We needed additional toilet paper and had to text the system, it's not as easy as calling front desk. The room itself was nice, had a kitchen with everything you need. Only one roll of toilet paper though! Walking distance from many restaurants, supermarket, and waterfront (20+ minute walk). Fully stocked kitchen with an electric stove, pots and pans, utensils, coffee maker, tea kettle up on the top cabinet, dishwasher, large fridge/freezer, washer/dryer with liquid pods. Bathroom was standard and clean. Nice balcony. Front desk was helpful and present at all hours. There's also an online chat/store where you can request products that you may want (ex. free dental set if you forgot it at home). I like the curfew - doors are locked at 9 PM. Cons: Only street parking available or valet if you want. BED was decent, but I've slept on better. The ceiling does occasionally have tiny pieces falling down, which was near my sitting area in the kitchen, but that was the only area. It could be different for other rooms or maybe none at all. Note: They only do house keeping if you request it. I had a wonderful pool side view. I wish I went out to the pool during my stay. It looked lovely and clean. I saw more people sunbathing down there than swimming. I can definitely see how folks can spend time here as a long-term rental. You have everything you need here. I could definitely see myself coming back here.
