Came in last night to grab dinner outside on the patio. The place ended up filling up super quick! The waitress was friendly and full of knowledge. I ordered the fish again this time. It took awhile to get a water refill but the food came out quickly. It was all hot and had great flavor. We did notice some other tables having a long wait for food and some incorrect items. I am glad that I stumbled across this spot. I really liked it. It has a decent sized private parking lot and gives of a rustic log cabin feel. There is a decent sized dining area and a full bar with seating. You will also find a nice covered patio area that you can dine on as well. The dining area, bar and patio have televisions that will more than likely have sports on them. It should be noted that this location is 21+, so leave the littles at home when you come here. The staff there is very friendly, helpful and courteous. I really enjoyed them and they enhanced my experience at the restaurant. The restaurant serves you typical pub food such as burgers, chicken sandwiches, wings, fish and chips, soups, salads, ribs, tacos, wraps and pork chops. I ordered the Country Fried Chicken with Peppered Gravy, which came with mashed potatoes and creamed corn. It took about 8 minutes for me to get my food, which was impressive since it was during their lunch rush. It was so delicious and flavorful. I cannot see enough about my meal. The corn was like some creamed street corn. The chicken steak was fresh, hot and well seasoned. The mashed potatoes were delicious too. What a good surprise evening. I have posted that I have food allergies, meaning it is really hard for me to eat out. Wolfie's is one of the few restaurants that can give me an allergy menu. We were immediately greeted and asked if we were meeting others we were. The facility was warm and inviting. Our table and menus were clean The server, Warren, showed up within a couple of minutes after we sat down and got our drinks. I asked for the allergy menu and he brought it within a few minutes. He was concerned about what I was going to order. I stated shrimp tacos and he agreed with my decision It was delicious. Blackened shrimp on a street taco with fresh vegetables. My husband got blackened Maui Maui and said he really enjoyed it. Warren was the perfect server. When he heard us talking he would add some funny quip He was professional, accurate and engaging I wasn't sure I would enjoy dinner c due to a lack of food choices but I sure did. We ate here on a very snowy winters night and we were impressed with each menu item we ordered. I loved the pan crusted chicken. We split a wedge salad that was one of the best we have had. We got a cup of seafood chowder, buffalo chicken nachos, fireside cheese sticks all to share. The seafood chowder was not good, I would definitely never get it again. I still gave 5 stars because it's indiana so why would you ever order that in a bar. Plus the other 2 things we got more than made up for it. The Buffalo chicken nachos were o good! We got hot sauce instead of medium and it packed a punch! I will be getting them again for sure. The fireside cheese sticks also stole the show. Had a nice amount of spice to them. I was in town on a business trip and found myself staying at a hotel really close to Wolfies. I found them on Yelp and since it was so close by and their menu looked good, I made an order online for curbside pickup. I opted for the fish and chips and a side of mac and cheese and it was ready in about twenty minutes. While my order was for curbside pick up, I did decide to go inside and check it out. My food was ready as soon as I stepped foot side the door and I noticed it felt like an old school, family restaurant. There was a cobblestone fireplace, a bar and plenty of seating. When I got back to my hotel I dove right in and the food was great. I couldn't put the mac and cheese down and in no time, I was at the bottom of the container and found myself wanting more. I highly recommend it. The fish was also fried perfectly and the tartar sauce was a wonderful addition on the side. The chips on the other hand, were mushy and I was so glad I got the side of mac. Cauliflower bites were fried perfectly and had a great flavor as well Onion rings have a special seasoning dusted on them which makes them great to eat by themselves however if you dip them in the boom boom sauce they come with it elevates the flavor and gives them a little kick of spiciness Buffalo chicken wrap was spicy but had a great flavor and was full. Mac and cheese as a side was delicious had nice flavor and creamy and cheesy Crusted chicken, broccoli and mashed potatoes were all delicious. I feel the chicken could benefit from a dipping sauce ie the boom boom sauce. Mashed potatoes were creamy and broccoli was cooked perfectly. We had an excellent experience here and Warren was a big part of that. Our 2nd grader had just finished a long day of camp and woke up from a 20 minute car nap. She was not feeling dinner and it showed - she was literally sitting with her arms crossed and a scowl on her face. When Warren, our server, came over, I apologized and said we needed a second to make sure we would be able to stay before we could order. He was completely understanding. He came back a minute later and started chatting up the kid, asking her about camp. She wasn't having it. He offered her a lemonade "on me" and said he'd even bring it in a to go cup in case she decided not to stay. It was a small gesture, but completely won her over. She went on and on about her FREE lemonade (which is funny, because it's not like the 7 year old ever pays for her own meals and drinks). She decided she wanted to stay. We split the chicken fingers, fries, onion straws, cauliflower wings, and soy Brussels sprouts. All the food was phenomenal. I also had a cucumber smash and it was the perfect summer cocktail, not too strong and not too sweet for a hot summer day on the patio. The meal could have been a disaster with an impatient or unkind server. And without the lemonade gesture, I'm not sure we even would have been able to stay. My husband and I came here for the first time and fell in LOVE. We always drove past the restaurant in the summer when we have boat days but never thought to try it out. Well, we can't say that anymore! I am so glad we did. The environment first of all was amazing. Normally we go to ricks boat yard to sit on the patio by the water but now Wolfies will be top on our list. They have 2 patios that you can choose from. The first patio had windows all around it and made you feel like you were outside. It was perfect!!! The second patio was actually outside by the water. It almost made us feel like we were on the beach! The customer service was good, everyone was friendly and accommodating. My husband and I felt at peace about social distancing as they followed the rules and wore mask! This will be a pretty place to go even in the winter months because you can sit on the patio that has windows all around it. We will be back, I truly enjoyed myself!!!
