I was gifted a truck from my elderly father, who only takes his vehicles to this shop and serviced my truck here. After a couple of months of having the truck, we spent about $4,000 to have a number of things fixed that should not have been nearly as bad: 1. The check engine light came on, because of a failing O2 sensor. This sensor had last been replaced by Salisbury Tire, and they had clearly not put anti-seize on the threads (absolutely necessary). This made it impossible to remove the sensor without also having to replace the catalytic converter, another $1600 on top of an otherwise $40 sensor replacement. 2. Turns out the O2 sensor itself hadn't failed yet, but the issue was from wiring further up. Additionally, the main wiring harness bundle (includes sensors, main power and grounding wires, system-critical stuff) was not properly fastened during a previous repair (also confirmed to have been done by Salisbury Tire), and was instead resting on the EGR pipe (which gets VERY hot). The wires were being melted through slowly, and I'm lucky we caught this issue before it had caused a much worse failure. According to my father, instead of paying for vehicle service each time he takes them in, he pays them a monthly payment. All of his vehicles always have the check engine light on, and they tell him that it "doesn't mean anything, don't worry about it." Years ago, he even had a tire that fell off of one of his cars while he was driving on the road. I have another family friend who also had one of his tires fall off his car after going to Salisbury. They take advantage of my father, who is elderly and therefore does not have the best judgment of who is trying to scam him. This review is so long because it is long overdue. Salisbury found an issue that my old mechanic (progressive auto) could not find and fixed it. I go here for inspections, tires, oil changes, they fixed my starter. They are friendly and fair in pricing and they always follow up after to see if I was satisfied with my service. Great customer service and they are now my shop of preference. read more

My friend dropped off my car for an alignment. When I got the car back I wondered why the receipt said "thrust angle alignment" when I'd never heard that term. Two months later I had the car at Discount Tire and the alignment was all off. Google tells me a thrust angle alignment should be $50-75 and they charged $125. I paid another $89 to DT to align my car AGAIN. read more

Went to get 4 tires installed and an alignment. Suppose they thought I was a dumb female, too bad they got the wrong one. I have an automotive background along with a husband who was a mechanic for many years. They tried to say my front shocks were bad, sorry buddy they're struts. Then tried to say my bad your rear shocks are leaking. Then tried to say my sway bar link was shot. Nope not that either. Since my husband works at a trustworthy dealer in the area I let him take it to work to reinspect it since he just shook down the whole suspension last week and nothing was wrong. A master tech gave a second set of eyes and confirmed the paper that they put in writing is nothing but a scam. Don't trust these people. I just called and asked to speak with an owner, bet I never hear from one. I will be filing a BBB complaint. read more

They texted me wanting to know if I needed anything for my car. I replied and said I needed an oil change and 4 new tires. Checked tire prices, made appointment to drop car off the next week. Dropped it off and went over all that needed done and asked if it'd be ready by the end of the day- was told yes. No phone call- called them at 4:30 and they were like "oh your tires won't be here until tomorrow." I was like uhhh what? And the guy checked and said "oh no, we do have your tires, I don't know why they didn't get done." I needed my car to go home and went to pick it up only to find they did absolutely nothing in the 8 hours it was there- no oil change, nada. I've gone there for years but no longer. They must have new management. I'll take my business elsewhere and someone else can take the $800+ I was going to spend there today. Ridiculous to be solicited for an appointment, make one well in advance and drop your car off for NOTHING. Wish I could give zero stars. What a joke. read more

I bought a trailer and it has been a learn as I  go with it. When I picked up the trailer the lights on the trailer did not work when connected to my car. Camping World checked the trailer and the lights worked but when connected to my car all the lights did not. They told me that I would need to go to my mechanic to look into a possible wiring short in my car. I called Salisbury explained to Paul what is going on and asked him if this is something that Salisbury could work on. Paul answers with a yes we can do that. The car was dropped off and a couple hours later I get a call with there is nothing wrong with the wiring. I'm confused, thinking out the problem I decide that I need to find a trailer that lights do work and connect my car to it. A couple miles away is Southside Hitch I drove to them repeat my story to what has happened. They go to my car to connect a box to check the lights but before that even happens the mechanic states well I see the problem right here. He shows me a white wire that is hanging that should be attached to my car to ground the wiring. They attached the wire to the car and add a bracket to keep the wiring from hanging down. When I got home the all the lights on the trailer worked when I connected it to my carAfter this long story I hope you get from this either Camping World should not have sent me to my mechanic or Paul should not have said yes they know about wiring to a hitch. read more
