I've only had a very limited experience here, still need to have a proper dinner to make a full assessment but here's my initial impressions. I'm always a little wary of "fusion" restaurants as it seems like an excuse to Americanize the food too much. Boba tea is delicious but over-priced and the shumai was fried and bland. I decided to have dinner with my family at this cozy place because they have heard that they have the best sushi in town. Today was my lucky day because they got fresh uni in their sushi bar. Our sushi boat was so awesome. White tuna sashimi and spider roll are my favorite. My wife likes spicy tuna which is also tasty. We got fried banana for the dessert which is so good. While the food is very good, the service is S L O W. One waitress working 7 tables of two or more customers, along with people coming in for takeout. They need more staff to run an effective establishment. Appetizer came out ICE cold, not even slightly warm, which is a result of one person being unable to handle everything. I have only had appetizer, curry with rice and ice cream here, so my review was based on these, not on sushi. The curry was Okay, while the beef in it was over cooked. Ice cream was not as good as expected. But they were all service very fast. But the service was very nice and pleasant at this place. If you ever have to venture out of Boston and happen to go by Manchester, NH...for who knows what (maybe a concert at the Verizon Center which is 5 min away), and you want to grab some Thai, I'd highly recommend this place. I went here Monday night, and arrived around 7. The place was pretty empty so I got a littler nervous, but still had faith because I read the reviews before I went here. It was all I had dreamed of and more! The waiter was SUPER nice!!!!!!!! I loved him. I asked for recommendations and asked what I was looking for, I told him seafood, and WOW, he told us to get some sort of seafood pot dish thingy, not really sure what it was, but damn that was one f'n tasty dish! We also had the some crazy noodles with chicken in some sort of thai coconut sauce and it was tasty as well. For drinks we had yummy thai iced tea that was sweetened to perfection. I love this place and wish I could move it along with our waiter to Boston! I was thinking about the food all through the concert (damn one track mind!) The waiter definitely took good care of us. The waiters behind the bar were also wicked nice to some guy who was eating alone, and also recommended a dish for him, which the guy liked. For the struggling vegan, Thai restaurants are a godsend. Not only do they usually have a larger array of vegan and vegetarian dishes on the menu, but the food actually *tastes* good. ;-) Muse Thai was no exception, though I kind of expected more than the unassuming strip mall hole-in-the-wall for the $$. Still, I care more about the food and *that* was quite decent. I just had Vegan Panang Curry, and it was delicious. A lot of Thai restaurants drown their curry in sauce, and this is only the second Thai place I've been to that's shown restraint and finesse in this regard. Less sauce means you have to have fresher, better ingredients and *really* know what you're doing with those spices. And they did. My only woe is that I don't think they deliver on any regular basis. I could be wrong. They certainly don't advertise delivery. If I hadn't been stuck in a brutal 9-day MCSE boot camp, I would have made the 20 minute drive more than once. read more

Really close to our house, so we could go there a lot. We don't. Food is very inconsistent, one time great, next time lousy. Okay, I have to admit, I haven't tried anything else other than the pad thai. We order out take-out occasionally from Muse Thai Bistro at our workplace, and when we do get meals from here they are always delicious. We have some special requests of how some meals are prepped and the staff is always willing to assist us. We've never had a problem with orders here! The price between lunch and dinner sizes are minimal, but the amount of food in the dinner size will fill you up at lunch and leave you leftovers for dinner. This review reminds me... While the place is attractive and the service was good, we were disappointed in the Thai food. We got Pad Thai, a curry, and a spicy pan fried dish. The Pad Thai had a murky flavor, not the salty-sweet-fresh taste I like. The curry was thin and tasted almost the same as the spicy pan fry. Awful. I would leave no stars if I could. I ordered delivery, and it just never came. After an hour I called and was told it was on its way. Then the driver called to confirm the address. 40 minutes later I call to check on the food again, and am told that they will contact the driver. 20 minutes after that, I call the restuaraunt and to my surpris,e the driver picks up. Apparently they had taken it upon themselves to cancel my order without informing me. I was livid. Everything else was closed at the time and I was starving, so I had them re-deliver it. They were completely unapologetic -- "Yes miss, I realize I never told you I was canceling it." When the food arrived it was cold and the curry was congealed. Shocking. Very delicious pad thai. Curries were on the spot. I had the green curry with roasted duck. They were under renovation for a little bit it seems but the place looks clean and nicely decor. The server told us that sushi bar is getting ready to open soon! Will give that a try when they get that started. Over all the service was plesant. Thai food was excellent, and decor gets an A. I was in the mood for some Thai food. I've never had it before and heard that it was amazing. This is the only spot in Manchester that I knew of, so I decided to check it out. Soon as I walked in, I realized how busy it was! I thought to myself okay it's Friday night so it's normal! I waited by the door to be seated and waited and waited while the staff walked past me and didn't even acknowledge me. A simple "hi, we'll be right with you" would've been nice. After 15 mins of standing by the door. I decided to leave. It can't be that good! I probably won't ever go back here but am still interested in trying out Thai food! We walked in and were greeted/seated quickly. The restaurant was basically empty for the two hours we stuck around except for a handful of barflies and one group of five customers. We are both vegetarians and we both appreciated the wide variety of vegetarian and tofu-based options. Granted, most Thai restaurants can boast of that, but there were over fifteen options that qualified and we quickly chose the Vegetarian Curry (12.95) and Tofu and Veggie Hot Pot (15.95). We also got a side of Brown Rice (2.00). My friend also ordered a Lychee Martini. The wait was a bit longer than I expected, and the rice came out after the two main dishes, which was a bit odd since it wasn't very busy. The rice was lukewarm and disappointing. There isn't much else to say about it. The vegetarian curry was solid enough, though I felt like there could have been a bit more flavor. The hot pot was probably the best of the three components, with well-cooked glass noodles, a great soy sauce, and very tasty steamed vegetables. With that said, I was disappointed in the amount of food we received. I am not sure if it is just a perception issue on our parts, but it appears that their portion sizes have shrunk over the past couple years. I still had enough to take home for left overs, but I don't think either of us really filled up at dinner. One trend of local Chinese places is that you can order 2-3 dishes for two people and leave stuffed full, but don't expect that from here. The service wasn't bad for us, but there was a dispute with another patron that seemed to revolve around an imposed gratuity for parties of 4+ or 6+ (his party was 5-6 people). He was upset by this (and I saw nothing on the menu to indicate that) and was rather vocal about it. This doesn't affect my rating or review, but it was interesting. Overall, I would not have a major issue going back to Muse Thai bistro, but I can't see this being a regular destination. A *** rating seems apt for this location. read more

So much potential, but ultimately a disappointment. Hubby and I showed up on a Sunday evening for dinner. One table was seated, no one else was in the restaurant. First thing I noticed was the baby crib next to the sushi bar. I feel like that's maybe not the best idea from a health perspective. The hostess(owner?) was also pushing a baby around the dining room on a tricycle. I like the idea of a family-friendly environment, but it was pretty loud given that the place was almost empty. Service was slow, but the one waiter seemed to be doing everything. He was very friendly though. Now, the food..*sigh.* I wanted it to be good, but it just...wasn't. We ordered Siam rolls and shumai, and both were overcooked. The Siam rolls are also very small, much smaller than the picture in the menu. Also, the filling was overcooked. Major disappointment there. The entrees were better, although not great. The drunken noodles with chicken was pretty tasty; I asked for less spice (1 pepper) and the spice amount was spot on with just a bit of a kick without the sinus draining that can sometimes accompany spicy Thai meals. Downside was the chicken was not in chunks, it was minced. Not my fave from a texture standpoint. Hubby got the Zesty Crispy Chicken. It was also good, but needed more sauce since it was on the dry side. He also got rice noodles on the side thinking he could mix them with the sauce, but since there was no sauce the noodles were really too dry to eat until he got a side of peanut sauce. All in all, it wasn't my worst meal ever, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go here and there is much better Thai food for more reasonable prices in the area. The apps were definitely not worth the money, and the crib in the dining room was a tad sketchy. read more

This was one restaurant I remembered fondly for lunch meals when I was in Manchester for work several years ago. Unfortunately it seems to have gone downhill. I ordered the duck choo chee lunch special. It was OK, not as good as I remember. Then the bill came with an outrageous amount for lunch. It turns out the waiter ordered the crispy duck choo chee from dinner menu for me. When I complained, the waiter talked to his boss and got the price down a couple of dollars, still significantly more expensive than what I ordered; not very classy. I will not be back. read more

I find that during lunch hour, which is when I'm typitcally there, the dishes are not only fresh off the stove but enourmous. Dinner and even more so take-out food seems to pale in comparison size-wise. I'll get two fulls meals out of lunch but only one at dinner, and even that is sometimes not enough to fill me up. The bubble tea at Muse Thai Bistro is wonderful! The tapioca pearls are sometimes not the greatest - they can be undercooked and not as chewy as they're supposed to be - but the tea part itself is the creamy, sweet kind that's far superior to the slushie type of bubble tea. Our meals were brought out at three separate times, and I don't think it bothered any of us excessively, but if you're particular about your party's food all coming out at the same time, then you will most likely be displeased. My four friends and I were all reasonably pleased with our food but none of us plan on returning. Although we asked our waiter before ordering if it would be OK to pay with separate checks (which he said was fine) he later told us that the machine couldn't do separate checks (don't think that was true). That wouldn't have been too big a deal, but when he brought us our combined check there had been an imposed 20% gratuity (although the menu says imposed gratuity is for six or more people). Furthermore, the check with the imposed gratuity was listed as the pre-tip amount, which is definitely illegal. When we brought this to the waiter's attention, he feigned forgetfulness. If I were just considering the food, this place probably would have earned a three, but given the service and definitely questionable business practices, I've lowered that to a one. read more

Was excited to try their new sushi menu. Mistake. Service was slow even thought there was only 1 other table with patrons. We orders 6-7. After a while the first one came out on a large platter, followed by the second about 5 minutes later on another large platter and it continued like this until our table was overrun with large platters each with one roll. Ridiculous. No chop sticks. No little bowel for soy sauce. Just an unceremonious drop off of a bottle of soy. The fish was not fresh and t he cucumbers used in the rolls was softer than the fish. The Chirashi Regular had the freshest fish I've ever had in a bento box style dinner. Yellow tail tasted like it was fresh off the boat, the salmon filleted right out if the river and the tuna was absolutely tremendous. I would come back again and again. In addition, a member of my party ordered a curry dish that was far too spicy for her and one of the servers (who seemed to be the manager or possibly owner) came to check if everything was okay. I went specifically for their curry, because they can make it without all the things I am allergic to. The waitress did a great job of communicating my allergies to the cook, and the curry didn't bother me at all. It was very tasty, and I will certainly return. The menu is more Japanese than Thai, and I was very impressed with their selection of fresh fish for sushi, sashimi, nigiri, and more. The atmosphere was a little tight, as it is not a large restaurant, but it's decorated well and is comfortable. I gave it 4 stars because it didn't blow me away with its amazingness, but it was very tasty and my special needs were honored well. Totally happy! read more

They offered such a diverse menu with a lot of surprising ingredients that you wouldn't expect from a small restaurant and it was all so great!
