Not sure why this place got 4 star, if I can give a 0 star I would. I came on a Saturday night around 7:30PM, my boyfriend and I were the only customers. I ordered papaya salad, it's tasted like papaya and sugar. The Thai iced tea was way too much cream and sugar. I though lt that it must tasted good for the 3 flavor shrimp because its feature as the most popular dish here, but the fry shrimp taste chewy. Most of their food are taste like sugar. Food was very good. I got kimchi ramen which was loaded with noodles, kimchi, red onions, and a decent amount of sliced pork. The boyfriend got Tom Yum soup with chicken, a little too much citrus but still very good. However, the service was extra slow, We didn't get our maki till we were done with our ramen. Thankfully it was very good, though not the same flavor that you find at most sushi restaurants. Stopped by here last week with my wife and friend. I ordered the Pad See U. It was probably the best Thai noodle dish I've ever had (and I've had a lot of Thai). I went here for an early dinner last week, after not having been for quite a while. I decided to try some new items and I am so glad I did! The coconut soup was to die for... The flavor was so rich and intense I could not get enough of it. I will definitely be coming back for that again. The other dish that I ordered, which was Cashew Nuts with Tofu, did not come as described. It had red bell peppers in it which I do not eat and were not part of the vegetables listed, and I am fairly certain that the other vegetables weren't completely accurate either. They were also not as many cashews as I would've liked. But otherwise I did enjoy the meal and I will be back, especially for the coconut soup. read more

Amazing staff and DELICIOUS food! The atmosphere was very comfortable and the wait staff and manager was more than welcoming. I ate a bunch of sushi and their som tam Thai, it was very spicy and delicious! I will definitely go there again! The sushi tasted delicious and the presentation reflected the care and quality put into making it. I also loved the sweet and creamy Thai tea. I will be coming back for more soon. read more

4.5 stars for sure. We love this place for take-out but have yet to actually eat in the restaurant. My husband thought it looked pleasant so we hope to eat there someday soon. This review is for take-out only. We've ordered from here several times this past year (at least 10) and have no complaints. As with any restaurant, we enjoy some things more than others, and a few things we just wouldn't order again. But that's personal taste. On one occasion we did order the appetizer sampler and that falls into the "would not order again" category. It's a combination of chicken satay, wings, shumai, golden bags, dumplings and siam rolls. I was expecting the pearl (scallion) dumplings but instead got gyoza, which was disappointing. Everything else was fine, but not great. About what you would get at any Chinese restaurant for takeout. We like appetizers but we don't typically order them here, opting for sushi instead. However they make amazing rolls! I can't think of a single one we didn't enjoy. The New Hampshire Maki is my favorite with shrimp tempura, cucumber, avocado, tobiko and a spicy mayo. Everything about it is perfect, prepared with care and presented beautifully. They make fantastic spicy mayo too, and I love that for takeout, they send it to you on the side. My husband's favorite is The B-52, and it's my 2nd favorite. It contains yellowtail, crab, cucumber, avocado, tobiko, tempura and spicy mayo. Same as the NH Maki, well-prepared, presented and just delicious. Other rolls we've had and enjoyed: California, Volcano, Spicy Maki, Shrimp Temupura, Angry Bird. I know I'm missing some, but these are the ones I recall. They are all good, you really can't go wrong. My husband enjoys their traditional sushi as well...not really my thing so I have no comment. We've ordered some entrees as well, but the sushi is really where they shine. The Pad Thai was good, not exceptional. Same with the Chicken Ramen Noodle Bowl. It needed more sprouts and cilantro, in my opinion. It also comes with peas, which is not listed on the menu. I hate peas. I would have omitted them from my order had I known. The Gaprow Chicken (like Thai Basil Chicken) was very good. It was a large portion, sufficiently spicy (I like spice!) and I enjoyed it for 2 meals. We may have ordered other stir-fry entrees but I don't recall. Their online ordering is fantastic - efficient and easy. Our one disappointment is that they are closed on Mondays. The husband and I like to go out for lunch on Mondays and are bummed that we can't go here. I can't give Muse 5 stars because the non-sushi offerings are generally okay but not exceptional. The sushi is 5 stars for sure! I would give them 4.5 stars if I could, but will stick with 4 stars. Definitely a place we recommend often. read more

Excellent Thai and Japanese food options. The spicy dishes are just the right amount, and the sweet basil tofu was great. The sushi offerings are really very good as well, more variety than most places. The location is modestly sized so it can get crowded easily, and even if service might be slower than you'd like it's always worth the wait. read more

Let me just say, I stop going here after i had ordered take out one night and found a long strand of hair in my pad thai noodles. I immediately went back inside and told them about what i had discovered in my noodles. They said they will just cook me a new one so I waited. But when they had brought out my "new pad thai" They gave me the same noodles i had ordered, all they had done was taken the hair out of my noodles but they weren't fooling me because it was not in the same kind of to go containers they use but a microwaveable one. You know what that mean! I was so pissed but did not make a fuss about it since i knew they would just denied it. I stopped going there ever since! This trendy bistro is tucked away near the end of a strip mall which includes the more prosaic fast food spots of Subway and Caesar's Pizza. We were actually staying at the motel across the way, and were delighted to learn from staff there that we could get a Thai meal close by. The food did not disappoint. The guy running the place assured us that each dish is meant for one person, but there was such an ample amount food (we also ordered a dish of rice to split) that we really could have shared one entre. No problem; we enjoyed our take-out the next day on the airplane, probably making those around us jealous when faced with UAL snacks. read more

The beef satay was not good, the gyoza dumplings were overcooked and the crispy chicken on the pad Thai had chunks of what I hope was just cartilage but I honestly couldn't tell. Wow, I just had a well cooked meal at the Muse Thai Bistro. The food is fresh and the portions are enough that an average eater will have leftovers. The service is fast and friendly and the dining area is clean. Our waitress was attentive to our needs, making sure we were satisfied with our meals and had everything we needed. I had the mango curry with shrimp. The spicy/sweet combination played well off each other with just enough heat to make the top of my head tingle. read more

I have been to this place a handful of times now, and each time has been a pleasant experience! The service is so friendly. The drinks are good & I absolutely love their drunken noodles! It is by far my favorite dish and it's the perfect amount of spice. My husband recently got the sushi appetizer and another noodle dish and loved both as well. Went to dinner at your establishment last night. What a disappointment! You guys are usually pretty good. We left before our meals arrived along with another dinner group. We saw one waitress bring back at least two dishes from a dinner group and a couple had to wait a half hour for a take our order that had to be corrected. Cold apps, a poor waitress carrying around a baby while trying to wait on patrons, fruit flies buzzing around in our face, brown lettuce in the seaweed salad...finally the waitress bringing our check over before our meals came was our queue to leave. I travel and frequented this restaurant when it was "Siam Orchid". Had dinner tonight and I was very disappointed. The owners seem very nice but the keep a crib in the dining area and the little one was extremely loud. I really found that tacky and the screaming and yelling was annoying. As a father of 4, I could sympathize with that but that's not what you want to hear when you're out for dinner. I ordered a vegetarian dish with vegetables, ginger and tofu. It was so bland and dry. Charging extra for a side of rice is a rare way to pad the bill. Navigating to the rest room through children's toys and boxes cluttering the hallway just increased the sense of unprofessional management. This place felt more like a "take out" joint. I wish the owners the best since they seem like real nice people but they need to pay more attention to the experience of what they are offering. This restaurant once again confirms my belief that there is not much for authentic Thai food north of mass. Eaten her twice- neither time has been enough to impress me. The staff are very nice and accomodating and the atmosphere is nice, but thats not enough to earn you more than two stars. Barely. I tend to judge places mainly by the food so I wont waste time descriibing the inside of the place, etc. The first time I ate here I got a curry dish that was very mild, not really tasting like much except coconut milk. Im not even saying it wasn't hot- it was lacking flavor in general. Not just SPICY spice. The second time I got to try a few different dishes: pad thai- probably the best out of what we got but still falling short of authentic in my book. a bit too sweet, not peanutty or spicy enough. Not very generous with meat or veggies. this is the kind of pad thai youd get at a chinese/asian restaurant that doesnt specialize in thai food. Many "thai" places north of boston are basically glorified chinese/seschuan food that doesnt capture the real kick of real thai cuisine. siam seafood- at seventeen dollars, this dish was a total ripoff. Definitely not getting your moneys worth on the seafood portions. It was a bit fishy and again the sauce had a bland, kind of sweet flavor. The scallops were not bad but they were few. nothing really appealing about this. id way rather have eaten seventeen dollars worth of sushi or even a more american seafood dish than this. yaki soba- this was an exceptionally small portion for a dinner order (it looked much smaller than the other two). It tasted overly sweet and vaguely spicy but not in any identifiable way. reminded me of what it would be like to get thai food in a can. spring rolls- these were extremely small and mostly dough- very short on filling. again- not worth ordering at all. like paying 7$ for a mouthful of fried dough. All of these dishes were certainly edible but at the price (almost 60$ for the above dishes and a seaweed salad) I would say save your money and go somewhere else. read more

I really wanted this place to be good.....I've given it three trys. First time...June 2011...party of 8, a birthday celebration. Our meals took forever to be delivered, and then...I kid you not...they were delivered one at a time. When the first plate was finished, they brought out the the next, when that one was finished, they brought out the next, and so on............This was not a family style dinner, and the service was horrible. The next time we went, there were just three of us. Service was once again horrible and the price of the bill seemed a bit high....they we realized....they included an 18% tip onto the bill!! They do this with all bills, so beware. The service in NO WAY warranted an 18% tip. Final straw, 12/17/11...showed up at 2:20pm for lunch. They serve lunch until 2:30, then they close and reopen at 3:30pm for dinner. We were told that they send the chef on break 10 mins before they close so, even though there were other people dinning, we were not allowed to be seated. 3 strikes, and you're out Muse. read more

I want to start off by saying that the food from this place is the reason I joined this site. Quality: I am by no means a food critic, but know when chicken has been cooked multiple days in advance. The Pad Thai was horrible. The chicken was pre-boiled and multiple days old. It had the texture of eating a piece of beef jerky but was somehow crunchy at the same time. Think of taking chicken, boiling it, and letting it sit on the counter in front of a fan for 5 days. Here's a tip for the chef (chef?), boiled chicken should not be crunchy! Timeliness: I showed up 10 minutes after they said my food should be ready and waited another 20 minutes. Cost: Spent more than 30 dollars on Pad Thai, Yellow Curry, and a bowl of soup. Ended up having to throw the Pad Thai out because I was afraid that eating the chicken would make me sick. Result: Will never go back, even if it is a free meal. read more

Food expiration date on at least one ingredient was obviously up on a very expensive bowl of noodle. I told the server who promptly returned the dish to the kitchen and returned to offer me an alternate order. I asked for chicken and vegetable fried rice. The "chef" then came out to defend her food quality telling us it was "frozen food" that always smells like this, I simply told her I just could not eat the dish due to the smell. Everyone was polite and there were no arguments or further discussion. Our server returned with a to-go package, we paid the hefty check and left. Upon opening the bag at home, we found fried rice with no chicken, few veggies and several slices of carrot that were obviously previously removed during prep and may have come from the trash! After many years of frequenting Muse (formerly called Siam Orchid Manchester), it is still one of my favorite places to eat, no matter what mood I'm in. They have a menu that I could never get bored with. I finally made it in to try the recently available Sushi selections, and was pretty blown away. Excellent cuts, flawless preparation, beautiful presentation, the rice was done perfectly, and the selection of specialty rolls will keep me coming back to try them all; provided I can resist the urge to order curry. If you are an avid eater of Sushi or Thai, do yourself a favor and check this place out. You won't be disappointed. I can't say enough good stuff about the rest of the menu either. I've tried many different items and never came across something I would not order again. Most importantly, the quality of the dishes is very consistent. There is something for everyone on this menu. They really know what they are doing here. I can't recommend Muse highly enough. read more

My wife and I have ordered take out from here for our anniversary the last two years. With a young child and a tight budget we are unable to dine out often so this is a rare treat for us. I have enjoyed Thai and sushi for the last 20 years, it is by far my favorite cuisine to indulge in. Muse chefs do an amazing job with creating the tastes, flavors and textures I would expect from a fine Thai or sushi restaurant. This year we ordered app sampler, spider maki, super man maki and chicken pad Thai. Everything tasted fresh and very flavorful. The sauces were good accompaniments without being overpowering. My one negative would be the failure to include lime with the pad Thai dishes. Fortunately knowing this from last year I bought a lime at the grocery store in preparation. No issues with the food. Whenever I've eaten here the food has been good; great even. Customer service on the other hand is another story. On more than one occasion I have attempted to call in an order or have arrived in person to dine-in shortly after the restaurant opens. Despite the restaurant being "open" no one is able to answer the phone or take my order in person because none of the staff currently there speak English. I have a hard time considering a restaurant "open" if they aren't able to provide the most fundamental element of business - customer service. It's unfair to patrons to advertise the restaurant as open but ask them to sit around and wait until a staff person who speaks English arrives. This also means call in orders are being ignored and the phone just rings and rings. read more
