I've had my son enrolled here for several years--first in piano lessons and more recently in guitar--and unfortunately, this experience has completely changed my view of this location. This week, my son is on spring break, so I attempted to cancel his lesson starting Monday. I called the store multiple times on Monday, Tuesday, and again Wednesday morning. No one answered, and there is no voicemail system available to leave a message. When I finally reached someone Wednesday afternoon, I spoke with Bailey, the store manager. She informed me that I would be required to forfeit the lesson due to their 24-hour cancellation policy. Here's the issue: there was no way to comply with that policy. I made repeated, good-faith attempts to cancel, but the store does not provide a functioning method to do so if no one answers the phone. When I explained this, Bailey was completely inflexible and hid behind "policy," stating that if she made an exception, she would have to do it for everyone. There was no effort to acknowledge the situation or offer a reasonable, one-time solution for a long-term customer. What makes this even more frustrating is the inconsistency. My son's guitar instructor, Onjrei, has canceled on at least two occasions with less than 24 hours' notice, and we were expected to be flexible and accommodating. It's hard not to notice that their time is treated as valuable, while mine is not. I'm expected to be flexible, but that flexibility is clearly not extended in return. I escalated the issue to customer service, only to be told that all lesson-related matters are handled at the store level. I requested contact with a district manager and was told someone "may" reach out in 2-3 days, with no name or direct contact provided. At the end of the day, this business chose to lose a long-term customer over a $30 lesson instead of showing basic fairness and customer care. If you plan to take lessons here, be aware: if you cannot reach them to cancel, you may still be charged--and management will not work with you, even when the circumstances are outside your control. read more

Each week the music lessons were closer to 15-20 minutes due to poor planning and lack of lesson materials for the students to learn their instruments. No value provided. Lackadaisical staff. Yelp! review #36 of 2025 I stopped by on June 16 to return my daughter's instrument rental. We tried returning the xylophone earlier to avoid another month's rental fee, but the store was closed. We came back a day later, but I was told I couldn't get a refund. In hindsight, I should've just kept it for another month. While the staff was great when I initially rented the xylophone, I wasn't impressed with how they handled the return. They couldn't find my account in the system, and I ended up waiting about 30 minutes just to close the rental. Additionally, one employee referred to me as "this guy" while asking a coworker for help right in front of me, which felt dismissive and unprofessional, like I wasn't a valued customer. read more

My daughter gets voice lessons there and her upbeat and talented instructor has really impressed me. I needed a single guitar string replaced on a Telecaster. I felt like they knew enough to do a good job. Well, they were very nice, professional, and smart. They replaced the string quickly and at a price that was really too low. We have been coming to Music and Arts for a few months now for violin lessons for my son. At first I was hesitant. My 5 year old somehow became interested in violin and I wasn't sure he had the attention span or the real desire to learn an instrument. But the more he pressed, the more encouraged I became to find him lessons. The store manager assured me that the instructor would be pleased to teach someone so young, and outlined everything clearly for me. Dmytro is his instructor, and he has been so kind and patient with Roland (and mom LOL). He treats him with respect and patience and Roland shows great interest in his violin! We rent his violin, which is great because he's just getting started and he's growing quickly. The center has been flexible in working to reschedule us when we had to be out one week. We have been so happy with Music and Arts and will continue our son's violin lessons for as long as he'd like them, and will look to them for music lessons as our other kids show interest! read more

Unbelievably poor customer service I went in to buy an item and was walked through the entire procedure as well as all the varieties of the items that I could purchase by the employee. When I got home I realized I had been sold the wrong item. Acoustic strings instead of electric strings When I returned a few hours later to exchange. I was told there is no exchange since the package was open. So the customer service and selling me the item was poor ... as he explained what I need He picked up He walked to the register with it. He Put it in the bag. Handed it to me. I had no idea what I was even getting until I got home. I also did not realize I had to read the entire package before I opened it ........to make sure the professionals I bought it from actually knew what their job was. So he sold me the wrong item. and the customer service in the exchange of the item they sold me (after a walk through step-by-step ) was also poor. In one day they went from finding a new customer to losing a new customer and as many other customers as I can possibly find to share the story with. They also claim to be affiliated with guitar center so boy am I going to blow up some Guitar center complaints as well. I've been charged for an instrument my son never received. They shipped it to the wrong school. Customer service hung up on me. Do not give this company your payment info. They will fraudulently charge your card and refuse to stop charges. Having to work through my credit card company to cancel the $50+ per month they are charging me and I have received nothing from the company. I called and spoke to a gentleman on the phone about a shoulder rest for my daughter's viola. When we got there he was very helpful and we didn't end up buying that item but purchased some rosin and we received some great information. The next time we had a string broken on the viola I took it in and Tiffany was kind enough to replace it. We looked at upgrading to a double bass and we were able to get rental information. I have called a couple times and been in a couple times and customer service is always spot on. Thanks for all your staff has done for our musician and a nice clean store as well. read more

I normally don't write reviews but i had just a positive experience and was impressed and very happy..I would reconmend anyone doing business with this location due to an employee providing a service to me and doing it without charging me when he could of. He cares about the customers for present sales as well as future business.. I personally have been in sales for more than 40 years and the customer service/interaction was exceptional.On wenesday march 30th-2022 i brought my acoustic guitar into the store..I had snapped one of the "e strings..I had ordered a full replacement 6 strings replacement from amazon and so i came into store with guitar and new stings..I spoke with Alan who said he would restring guitar,tune it and not charge me.He said that and i was amazed.He spent a half hour with me in the store observing him...He took his time as if it was his personal guitar. the guitar looked brand new after he was done! Not only did he take his time doing what i referenced he did things that didn't occur to me for free also.he mentioned the neck of guitar shrunk a tiny bit and metal frets were protruding a tiny bit so he shaved them a little.He also polished the guitar with oil and took an allen wrench and tightened/adjust screws at opening of guitar...This service shows the attitude of store,owner and the way they treat customers for current business as well as earning future business...I would reconmend anyone looking for an excellent in-store supply of guitars,piano's,amp,accessories,etc to go there..They also offer music lessons for many instruments as well as voice lessons..This will be my store in the future and should be yours...The location is@643 north stephanie street-suite 13-henderson-89014---702-450-2112..Glenn ... read more

Lack of attention , a matter of fact to prove me wrong does not work when a customer is explaining their concern. Both reps one in Henderson the other on Maryland were horrible . I live in the Henderson area and it's nice to have real local music store. I went in to have my guitar restrung, they had a full selection of strings and was able to have it restrung right away. Chris was very friendly and knowledgeable, my guitar sounded fantastic with my new strings. Apparently the shop also offers all kinds of music classes as well and has private lesson rooms in the back. Overall it will be nice to not have to ride all the way to guitar center any time I need something couple that with the deals they have on amps and I'll definitely be back. read more

I went in with my husband to pick out an electric guitar. I was very pleased that the sales clerk Will gave us space to try out the guitars on display at our own pace but was right there when we needed help. Don't expect quality service when the employees don't know anything because all their repairs are shipped thru 3rd party. The kids that are hired are clueless that don't know what they're talking about. They never touch the instruments and shipping my instruments out takes up valuable time. I've been playing guitar,, bass, piano , my whole life and I can tell when people know what they're talking about. Skip this store. This store is tiny compared to other musical stores. Every time I ask for the manager, on phone or in person, she's either off or not their. The one time I did see her, she was there preoccupied standing over a baby. We walked in with a stuck mouthpiece on a trumpet one hour before closing time. Jordan worked hard on getting the piece unstuck with the mouthpiece puller for 45 minutes straight. There are not many shops in town that cater to the band community. My son needed a spring for his Euphonium on a Thursday evening before a competition and she went above and beyond for us. Learn how to show customers appreciation! I rented a trumpet for my son and after 3 years he moved out of state with it so I wasn't able to return it. I needed to stop the automatic bank withdraw as I was going have my son send them money himself so I called Music & Arts and revoked authorization for them to automatically withdraw the money from my bank account, which is my right, as disclosed in the contract. Well two months later they somehow were able to charge my debit card instead, without my permission, and when I called them they told me that it was not illegal! I ended up moving too and continued to be charged monthly for a total of 70 months, paying 3 times more than the instrument was worth. A couple of weeks ago I came back to town just to return it and called ahead of time to be told by a manager that I had a $1900 rental credit I could use towards another band instrument. I came to the store to be told that I could only use my credit on another trumpet for exactly $1900 and they didn't have any in stock and that I wouldn't be able to use my credit now because the credit was only good for 72 hours. Seriously?! They wouldn't make any exceptions for customer satisfaction! I would have been grateful for anything even if it was a free book or something. $1900 credit down the drain and of course they don't care. read more

This is a music store with entry level to intermediate gear. I picked up a new guitar practice amp for cheaper than what guitar center was charging & I was in & out in 10 minutes.
