I was here today. April 23rd. at 3:00 pm -- Although the staff was nice a friendly- The polish was not stellar. The pedicure had marks, not a smooth finish- I had to put on my glasses to see the work. The nails were good. I also think they are overpriced here. Easy parking. The staff is okay...not too friendly. There is usually a 15 min wait for me. I only come here to get my eyebrows waxed. The ladies do a great job, fast with a great end result. More expensive than other places for eyebrow waxing. read more

I love coming to Kayla's! They're my favorite for gel nails. I usually go during the week before or after work so it's not too busy. I like to try to keep my nails long and they're really good at filing them to keep them looking long. The foot scrub, massage, and wax are amazing. They also do hot stones and then a warm towel to clean it all up at the end. I decided to change my nail color right before she was about to paint them. I was worried she'd be annoyed with me but she helped me pick a color and I love this neon pink. read more

So disappointing! The entire hour I was getting my nails done my nail tech was on a personal telephone call, even when I mentioned If she was here to work or talk on the phone? She still didn't hang up! After she was done she met me up front to collect my money and when I asked her how much she couldn't even hang up to answer me, she typed it into the calculator and showed me $50.00. I've been a customer for years now and am disappointed to have to write this review. I've always gotten a pedicure *without a massage* and it has consistently cost me $25 (as recently as July 2022). In September 2022, they informed me after my pedicure that it would cost $30. I told them it cost less than that as recently as a couple of months ago, but they pushed for $30. I relented and paid the price, but I was less than thrilled about being informed after the fact. I went in today (February 2023) and the first thing I did was ask what a pedicure without a massage would cost, as no prices were posted and my previous experience left a bad taste in my mouth. The person I spoke with said $40. After I told her that $40 was excessive, she then stated $35. I left without getting a pedicure because I don't appreciate their attempt at taking advantage of customers by not displaying prices anywhere. Advice for the establishment: Be fair to customers and display prices publicly so there is no uncertainty about costs. read more

I came in and no one greeted me. Stood there for a good while and then I finally asked someone to help me. (My husband had called 10 minutes before asking if they would be able to do a mani pedi for me they told me to come right now) anyways I finally get seated. The water was less than luke warm but usually places will make it way too hot and I hate hot water so I guess that was okay. Everything seemed ok, the hot stones I'm not a big fan I didn't know that was part of the pedi had I known in advance I would've said no I've been somewhere before and they were way too hot and that's what happened in this instance the stones were too hot and it burned me. Whatever I let it go. They were done and then it came time to pay. Mind you Yelp says they accept cards I pull out my card and they say sorry we don't take cards. I'm sorry what?! yea zelle or PayPal. I don't have any type of cash apps and then she says you can go to Wells Fargo and withdraw from there. I don't bank with them so that would have been a fee for me. Would've been nice to have known ahead of time like when we called or maybe when they started the service. Anyways a day later and two of my nails have chipped and I ended up having to call my husband to pay. I wouldn't recommend this place :( read more

I had pedicure and manicure for me and for my 14 years old daughter last week. The one who worked on me cut me at least four times. I don't know her name but she worked without gloves and with big rings on her fingers. she scratched me while massaging and yawned all the time. It was very unpleasent. The big problem is that after a week my thumb is red swolled and infected where she had cut me. You will see in the picture. I hope I will recover without complications and that I didn't catch some kind of disease. of course, I won't go there ever again. My last haircut was in May, and I remember my last actual manicure being even before that...which means way too long. My cuticles were a mess. We first attempted another nail salon, but lo and behold, it was out of business. So, my friend suggested Kayla's and off we went! Location: In the Foothill Crossing Shopping Center, smushed in among Peet's, Starbucks, Rite Aid, TJ's, and the product market, among a bunch of other things, is Kayla's. Don't park near Trader Joe's and just go toward the back. Decor/Furniture: So we walk toward the door...and uh oh, a sign on the door. Turns out, they are doing construction next week. Hopefully this means they are replacing the chairs because as soon as we walk in, it hits me how old this place looks. The chairs all have some odd stains and just all the furniture looks old. There are quite a number of pedicure chairs, but the place feels super crowded with little space to move. It did look like they were massage chairs, but this place could certainly use a makeover in look. Anyway, I decided to get a regular mani and my friend got gel. $15/$30...mani/gel...Wow double the price for gel. They take credit card here. Anyway, this was a tale of doubles because my lady asked if I wanted to pay before, while friend's manicurist didn't ask. Kinda awk leaving the tip beforehand. Also, my hands got massaged before the color and my friend's after. See a theme here? So it's not so fab that I never try anywhere else, but I keep coming back 'cause it's better that all of the other places I've tried. I come to the same person every time and she does a great job prettifying my feet; I type like a fiend and my hands are always thrashed, so why bother with manicures? Pluses: she takes almost an hour to do my pedicure; she's a perfectionist. Polish and shape are consistent and great, and my feet look 10yrs younger after the buffing, paring, Dremel-sanding, trim, massage, hot rocks, paraffin treatment. Leg and foot massage is ahh, lovely, and she spends a little extra time getting the knots out, which is very nice. Massage chairs. They have a lot of staff and a lot of chairs, so if I'm going in for an appointment I can bring a friend and we can sit next to each to other and chat while we get our toesies done. Minuses: yeah, I've noticed the problems with drying too. I always bring my own polish. When they're crowded they tend to rush and not do as good a job -- even if you have an appt. Come during unbusy times (earlier in week.) Not 100% sure about sanitation: on one hand tools come out of a sterilized packet, on the other a friend swears she got plantar warts here (which I take with a grain of salt -- she also works out at a large gym). Used to love this place but the prices went high and the service down. The massage is short, they just want to finish the work. The nail polish is old and wouldn't dry for 5 hours and then got smooshed. When I came back she blamed me for not letting it dry even though I showed her that after 12 hours it is still wet. some of the workers are great, but many don't listen to the customers and did not listen to the shape, color, and length I wanted. Prices have increased to the point that it is not worth it for the quality you get. There are high-end salons with the same price. Go to Kimmy's Bliss or Town Nails instead and get nails you won't regret for two weeks. read more
