Arrival was checked in and then told to wait. Usually other nail salons have me pick the color first. I was escorted to the massage chair all the way to the end of the room and then asked what colors I wanted. I got both a mani/pedi with gel. Since I don't get them often, I wasn't aware that I had picked a cat color magnetic nail polish that cost extra. They quoted me the amount but didn't give me a breakdown of the cost. I was happy with how the nails looked, but because of lack of transparency with the fees, it ended up being more than I had expected. The actual service was fast and they were both done within the hour. I do not recommend this salon…read more It may have a fancy name, but my experience suggested a lack of training and attention to detail. I came in for a pedicure with regular polish and a gel manicure. The pedicure was mediocre but acceptable, but the manicure was a complete disaster. During the manicure, the technician cut my finger so badly that it wouldn't stop bleeding. She became visibly flustered, wasn't wearing gloves, and my blood ended up all over her fingers. It was unsanitary and incredibly uncomfortable. The quality of the manicure itself was terrible. My nails were filed into uneven, lopsided shapes that weren't symmetrical. She then proceeded with my gel manicure but skipped several of the basic prep steps that are essential for proper gel application. I get gel manicures regularly, so I know the process, and she completely missed some of the key steps. The polish application was also poor. It was so thin that you could still see my natural nails through it. I had to ask them to redo the manicure, which turned my appointment into a nearly two-hour ordeal. When I tried to bring my concerns to the staff, no one seemed to understand me--or they pretended not to. I eventually gave up trying to explain. At checkout, they took a little over $10 off my bill. At the time I accepted it, but after telling my husband everything that had happened, we both agreed the discount didn't come close to making up for the experience. A few days later the gel manicure peeled off in one piece, which is a clear sign it wasn't applied correctly. Then, a couple weeks later I went to a different salon for a pedicure. Since I thought I had regular polish on my toes, they started trying to remove it with regular nail polish remover. That's when we discovered it wasn't regular polish at all--it was gel. I never asked for gel on my toes. Not only had they applied the wrong service, but it had also been applied incorrectly. I ended up having to pay an additional $5 just to have the unexpected gel removed before my pedicure could begin. Between being cut until I bled, the uneven nail shaping, the poorly applied gel manicure, being given gel on my toes instead of the regular polish I requested, the extra time, and having to spend even more money to fix their mistake, this was easily one of the worst salon experiences I've had. I won't be returning and cannot recommend this salon.
