Very disappointed in this "local" pet store that I have been going to since Im a little kid. Last week, I went in to purchase safe paw for the storm and it was 19.99. I went in today to grab some more, and suddenly 29.99. We all understand the difference between supply and demand and price gauging and thats what we have here. Love this place and so do my two dogs! They know the second we walk in here, they are leaving with so many treats. I only come here for the treats because their selection is incredible. There are so many options and they have treats you can't find anywhere else. They're a little out of the way for me, but well worth the trip. Great pet store, great variety, nice workers who are very helpful. They have all types of animals, food and toys for our beloved pets. Place is good for a local store. Prices are a!bit high but no surprise. Had a disappointing situation today. Received a 10% coupon via email recently. Cashier didn't know what to do so had to try to find the manager-which took a few minutes. Manager tells me the coupon has to be printed to be used-but the coupon didn't state that. This place is okay. The doggie toys are a little overpriced but i guess thats how they compete with the big chain stores. They have the food I need for my pup, and he loves to go out so he comes with me. More helpful and happier workers could easily set you apart from other pet stores but you lack in that. I always say it takes less energy to be nice, so be nice. Seems like a morale issue here, the owners should look into what they are doing wrong for their employees and fix it, because your front line employees are the face of your business [but you know whats best for you] i'll give them another shot, maybe everyone had a bad couple of days. read more

One of the employees was a little disrespectful. I arrived by the counter and I asked a simple question to the disrespectful employee who was walking around, (because I wasn't sure if he worked there or what not). The nail clipper man said on the phone "I am now leaving my shift for the day, I will be there all day tomorrow," (which is today). So I said "ok no problem, see you tomorrow then". Tomorrow comes, and the same disrespectful man I described above looked like he was trying to run me out the store, and said to me "the nail clipper man went out to do deliveries, he will be back in an hour" (but the nail clipper man told me he'll be here all day and I basically bought my Guinea pig out here for no reason.) All the sudden they want to charge me just to have my guinea pig's nails cut. So I just rolled my eyes, shook my head and left the store. I've been going to them for nearly 4 years and I've never been charged. Apparently it's because my guinea pig wasn't adopted from there or something like that. Every single time I've been there, the staff said I was good to go. P.S. they need better organization in the Guinea pig nail clipper room, it's sad. read more

Just bought my daughter a goldfish and had the pleasure of being helped by Nick. He was such a big help and so knowledgable on fish and made the selection for my daughter that much easier. He made my daughters face light up like the sun just by including her in on every step of the process. I've been here before looking especially at the guinea pigs and rabbits. I excused the look because there was someone currently cleaning and I know they're hard to keep up with. But the last time I went it was very disgusting. You could tell they do not take care of their animals. There was no hay or food in any of the animals bowls and there was no chew toys(which are imperative for health). The guinea pigs were also making such loud sounds like they were in such need of something. These were terrible conditions and they need to be educated and more determined to properly care for animals. read more

Went there few weeks ago to buy some refrigerated dog food. I usually go either here petsmart or target. I'll be honest when I tell you there have been I guess some supply chain issues with the food and the stores aren't stocked with it all the time. Didn't feel like going far in case the places didn't have it. Came to this place as it's much closer for me. They did indeed have it in stock. Grabbed my usual 2 and went to register. What's usually 40 bucks (20 each) came to 80 bucks. I told the cashier there must be a mistake. She said oh no there's no mistake. We raised the prices because it's been hard to get recently. I paid the money n vowed to never ever walk in this place again. Thanks for price gouging me you bunch of scumbags. Anyways. Went to target the next day grabbed another 2 rolls paid 40 bucks and learned a lesson about who owns n runs this joke store. I would rather this place not had in stock than to be robbed buying an essential for my pets needs. So rude and disgusting. Will never ever be back read more

Been shopping here for nearly 30 years, so that says a lot. I find the prices competitive with the big chain pet stores and even Walmart. There's always someone available if you need help too. The proprietor even called his distributor, while I was shopping, to get something my cat needed. That's the kind of customer service that keeps customers. read more

Worst customer service ever. I use to shop here a lot at mutts and butts. The customer service was great ,but over the years went downhill fast. They didn't have a brand of food in stock a few times. The people said they will call me when or if they can get it in but the few times they said they will call never happened. I went there on another occasion where the price marked on the shelf was different from what it rang on the register. I asked her if I could show her the price that was listed on the shelf but she refused and argued with me saying I was wrong even though the price on the shelf and what was on the register was completely different. I normally do not post reviews like this and give a few chances to places because maybe someone had a bad day ,but since the bad customer service happened more then a few times I would not be shopping there anymore. Think twice before buying saltwater fish there. They WILL NOT stand behind their fish. Many stores guarantee their fish for up to 3 days or more. My fish died in 3 days in a well kept aquarium with lots of happy fish. The best they could do was offer a discount on a future purchase. Why not at least offer a store credit and keep the customer?
