It's always so fun coming to Mutts! The environment is welcoming to everyone (all humans and dogs). They have great outdoor and indoor seating. The menu is really inclusive with both vegan and non-vegan options. The staff is super kind and helpful. They helped me when I had questions and were really willing to answer anything. They have an awesome selection of dog items, including dog treats, toys and dog treats mixes. We bought one of the cake mixes (for dogs) and our pups loved it! The coffee is unbeatable. What a very unique experience and location to have coffee and a bite to eat. After my daughters have been mentioned about this place for months, we finally had some time to check it out. The place is quite unique. It's like walking into someone's home. The business is not inside the actual commercial area but more in a neighborhood just a block or two where the actual commercial businesses are located in old town Beaverton. Just before you walk in, there were photos of dogs waiting to be adopted which set the tone. When we walked in, the entire place was adorned with photos, drawings, anything and everything dog related. There were even some folks who brought their dogs with them (now you get the theme). To the left was the owner/barista who took your drinks and any sandwich orders. I decided to get blended mocha and a Deluxe Bagel sandwich with sausage. Man what a delicious bagel sandwich. It took a little while to make but for good reason. I had the Asiago cheese put on. The bagels were wrapped in sandwich paper and served on a platter. As for the mocha- perfect flavor. Not too sweet, not too chocolatey- the flavor was spot-on. Very impressive. The place really felt homely and you are literally inside someone's house which felt warm and inviting. I can't wait to visit here again. The parking lot front of their business can probably hold about 6-8 cars and there's a sushi restaurant a few suites down including another business about to open soon (associated to sushi but forgot what food they'll be selling). A while back, someone in the Portland Vegan Facebook page mentioned Mutts Coffee and the delicious breakfast sandwich that he had. I immediately bookmarked it on my Yelp page, then forgot about it. This morning I saw a Facebook friend mentioned her coffee and breakfast here. I didn't want to forget again, so I came here for my afternoon coffee, snack and reading break. Mutts Coffee has now become my favorite coffee spot! I've been to coffee spots that have 1 or 2 things that I look for in a coffee place. Mutts Coffee ticks off all 3 things that I look for! 1) Vegan food options! They can do breakfast sandwiches made to order. They also have vegan baked goods! 2) Comfy seating...very important to a person who is plagued by sciatica issues! 3) Ambiance galore! I loved all the artwork! Today I got a sugar free iced vanilla latte. I can't remember the dairy alternative I requested. I also got a blueberry coffee cake. It all was very tasty! There's not very much parking in front of restaurant, but I had no problem getting one. Seems like there were plenty of street parking in the neighborhood too. This place is AMAZING! Yes, the food is great (bacon breakfast bagel sandwich with spicy sauce for the win). Yes, the coffee is great (price is reasonable too)... but the most amazing thing about this place is that they donate 25% of profits to dog rescues, shelters, and charities! Everything inside is dog friendly - treats, ice cream, donations. There are even bins out front with food for cats and dogs if people need emergency help. They have a bunch of shelves inside with donated items if someone needs assistance with their animals - leashes, halters and collars, etc. I love this place. I love the concept. I love the people. I moved to the area and have been checking out all of the coffee shops, so when I came and saw that they not only had vegan options for food, but their prices were very reasonable compared to the other shops in the area. Terrible customer service. There was only 3 other people in but they claimed to be "very busy". We waiting 10 minutes before anyone said anything to us. After waiting that long and deciding what to get she tells us we can't do breakfast anymore and they close in 10 minutes in a very rude tone. I had called 5 times before we went to check if they still had breakfast but nobody answered. You can't serve the last people who already waited? Zero customer service skills and extremely unprofessional. (btw having holes in ur pants makes u look unprofessional and dirty) Messy atmosphere that definitely is not up to code. Also, hours were listed till 4 and should have been changed if you close at 2. Just a mess. Don't come here. Cute idea terrible execution. Very rude unprofessional behavior, as someone who has worked in customer service for a long time don't be defensive, listen and do better. Btw ur rude response to this is exactly what ur problem is. Listen and learn from your customers. And when ur running a business professionalism is important, but clearly not to you. As someone with an actual education in business I can assure you that how you present yourself to your customers is important..but much more important is how you treat them and you were very rude. Great coffee spot that's close to the busyness of Central Beaverton but not smack in the middle. It's definitely a nice place to grab coffee as you walk your dog on a nice morning. It's roomier than I thought inside. From the outside it looks like there's enough room for 1 table. Latte was great and tasty. Appreciate the treats for my dog. I love this place! I can't remember how I came across this place but I'm so glad. This is an almost every Saturday ritual with my family before the farmers market and a sometimes during the work week door dash delivery treat! The staff is so great. Even when they're poppin with orders, they still have fab attitudes. My kids love the board games and toys to entertain them while we're getting our order. Love that they donate proceeds to animal services andddd they have donations outside for pets in need. I'm thankful for the vegan options! I came here to try a local coffee place a little pricey but looked worth it online went into the store kinda smells like dogs but to be exp theres dogs in the store the reason for the 1 star is bc the barista put rotten milk in my blended mocha went back to ask why the coffee tasted spoiled(i took one sip and immediately brought it back) and the barista checked and the cream was way past the expiration date she tried making me a new one but i just requested a refund anyways she was very polite the whole time but its common practice to check daily if the milk is expired read more
