First time here but will definitely not be the last! Came for a friends Pre-birthday bash with a group of nine! I'm not even going to lie I was not thinking I was going to enjoy karaoke this much! But man it has opened my mind to more things to do out in DC that's outside the box. The best part of having this private karaoke room is everyone can feel comfortable and be themselves without feeling like they gotta act a certain way. This is the first time I actually went up and sang anything! Lol. Usually I'll be too shy but again another advantage of having that private room. And there's a plethora of songs and they include the explicit versions which usually I have never seen before! Great! Lol Now to order the food is one of the best ways I've seen in a long time! Now everyone downloaded the menu on their phones and was able to order what they want. Which is cool because there isn't any of that trying to split checks nonsense that can get tedious! And the turnaround for you getting your order was crazy fast! I was like well damn....lol. And the food options are great and tasty. If you like Korean/Asian food you will have no problem finding something to munch on. My only complaint is the drinks which were really made good was given to us in those small plastic I would say kid cups, but their prices were still the standard DC prices. Other than that I can't wait to come back with the group of ladies again because we had a blast!

I'm gonna put a few pointers out there before getting to the actual review: 1. If you're coming to karaoke sober, you're doing it wrong. 2. If you don't sing at least one Britney Spears song (per hour), reconsider your life choices. With that in mind, this place is great. Staff is incredibly friendly and courteous. The space is spotlessly clean, the rooms are kept in tip top shape. Equipment was also clean and seemed very new. At least two TVs per karaoke room, in case you're an amateur and actually need to see the lyrics instead of just FEELING the music (see point #1 above). Great spot, definitely worth the hourly rate if you're looking for a quality karaoke night in DC.

The customer service was great! We unfortunately had to reschedule and was late to the rescheduling due to car troubles but they were nice enough to let us at least use the karaoke room for an hour until another party came in. The food was really great! I got the bulgogi udon and it was very flavorful. I always wanted to try hotteok and this pastry was delightful with the accompanying mochi ice cream. It is a great destination in DC for a night out.

Two and a halfish. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt since our visit was opening night. Clean bathrooms, minimalistic decor. The song interface was fairly easy to pick up on, and the staff were so nice and well-meaning. The English songbook was probably the most organized karaoke index I've seen, but the videos themselves tended to be text only, or set to 80s video clips. Mics are also relatively unforgiving, serving to amplify volume without regulating any sound quality; don't expect those shower acoustics you get elsewhere! Unfortunately our vodka sprites arrived as Cape Cods, which I didn't mind but it disappointed other people in our party. I think the main issue we had beyond that is their decision to use top-shelf vodka when we didn't request it. We ordered pork gyoza and tofu apps to nosh on, which came relatively quickly. The gyoza were pretty standard (yet still the highlight of the night), but the tofu isn't something I'd get again. The firm sheets were seared nicely as advertised, but other than the light tossing in soy sauce, it was bland due to massive underseasoning. The bed of onions could've been browned a little more, and needed salt and pepper. Had the tofu been marinating in the soy sauce for awhile, we might have been less turned off by the dish. Japchae is disappointing, they use bean thread vermicelli instead of dangmyeon. As it were, I'd be willing to come by to try their main menu, but I've been too spoiled by other karaoke joints to sing here again.

Good selection for karaoke. The food and drinks were really good as well. Rooms were a little small though.

Ask the Community - Muzette Karaoke & Restaurant

Do they offer non-room karaoke? I'm trying to find a good place for karaoke that doesn't require a room rental. It's so much more fun that way when you have so many people interacting.

They have an open bar area and I believe a dining area, all of the rooms are private karaoke.

Will we be hit with hammers?

No, however they write in tips if you pay using credit cards here so I highly advise you only use cash.

If you're looking for a fun night and also great food looking no further than echo box!!!…read more Let me talk about the food first - they do specialize in Korean fried chicken so definitely order some wings. It has the crispiest batter with the juiciest chicken. Another must order as the onion ring tower, which comes with the ketchup and spicy sauce. We finished that very quickly. We also loved the Bulgogi flatbread. I think that is a must order haven't seen anything like that it was so delicious! OK now the karaoke: the rooms are very spacious and super clean they do give disposable covers for the microphones. Again, not all karaoke spots do that. There's a choice of YouTube and regular machine (with more Asian songs) . The lights, the sound, echo everything is customizable. For all group sizes you can find a room. I loved our time here definitely will be coming back. Also, I went on a Sunday and they had a child's birthday party happening so it is for all ages!!

We hired District Karaoke for our recent wedding reception in November 2019 and could not be more pleased with how the event turned out. Jesse, our emcee extraordinaire, is professional, prepared, responsive, and kept the party going. He also added thoughtful touches that made the event personal and memorable for me and my husband. You casually say something about your karaoke league, and the question pile up. "That's a thing?" "What does that even MEAN?" "So you, like, sing?" And next thing you know the awkwardness is gone and conversation can continue on. But conversation-enhancement aside, this league is amazing. It's a crazy amount of fun, it's a great way to meet people, and if you ever needed an excuse to bring out Halloween costumes from years past - this is it. This is my third season of District Karaoke and it's enough of a part of my life that it's where my boyfriend/fiancé (also a DKer) proposed to me this season. Yup, that was amazing. So, yea - I'd say its pretty awesome. Policy is a cool venue for it (it's upstairs on the second floor), especially now that they added a stage (it was kind of hard to see the people performing -- yes, we call singing karaoke performing -- before, so that definitely helped. Pretty excellent drink and food specials, especially since Policy can be kind of pricey. Also, DK has a sing-it/schwing it rating system that allows for creativity beyond just can-you-sing-or-not - such as a member of one team getting a Cookie Monster puppet and singing "C is for Cookie" in a gravelly voice. Epic. Anyone is welcome, so you're always free to come by and check it out - I'd recommend during semi finals or finals when things get really epic. But yea, definitely the best extracurricular activity I do in DC.

My daughter was craving sushi, and we found Zeppelin, which was conveniently within walking distance of our hotel. Upon arrival, we were seated upstairs and welcomed by Brian, our server. Both my daughter and I were immediately pleased with the service, but the food... oh my God! was simply divine! My daughter ordered the SpiderMan sushi roll, which was crunchy with a really nice spicy kick. I ordered the Zeppelin roll, and it was absolutely delicious! A mixture of different flavors twirled across my palate and literally made me wiggle my toes! Before we knew it, we decided to order the Chesapeake to split, and it did not disappoint. Our server was very good, prompt, and spot on with the same recommendation so four stars for him. Cocktails were decently priced but a little on the sweet side. Not bad, just sweeter than expected and wanted so we switched to a bottle of sake with the sushi. It was a good recommendation by the server. Sushi itself was decent. Sashimi was good, fresh and well plated. I'd say it's definitely lacking something but I'm mentally comparing what we had to Philly and NYC and that's a little unfair so I'll just say it was good. The Godzilla roll, however, was the downside. It was as if we could take the top of the roll and make a tuna sandwich out of it. Not bad because I like a good tuna sandwich at times, just not what I want on a sushi roll. Sure, a Godzilla roll isn't a revolutionary roll but still... Music for an early dining experience was cool. Restaurant was clean and ambiance was as ambiancey as it can get at 6:30pm in summer.
