Terrible customer service!! My friends went there and had to wait over an hour to even get their nails worked on. Then the worker did not do the nails correctly and had an attitude when was asked politely to fix them. No refunds or discounts were given and weren't even told sorry. Incredibly rude! Tried to call to amend the situation and they sent me to voicemail twice and then hung up on the second ring the third time. Awful experience! I showed up for my appointment at 930 in the morning as scheduled. They told me to go ahead and sit in the pedicure chair. I sat there as the ladies beside me started to receive their services. 20 minutes later I asked the front desk lady who said that employees are running late. So I sat there for another 20 minutes.. the main guy came up to me to say he was sorry and someone was almost there and started running water in the pedicure basin. I put my feet in expecting an employee to be there any minute.. the water quickly went cold. I never saw him again and the front desk lady refused to make eye contact.. 20 minutes later I left. It had been an hour. The guy did reach out to me several minutes after I left to say someone was finally ready to do my pedicure. I texted back and "can I at least get a discount or upgrade for driving back?" He said no, so I didn't drive back. It was handled so poorly! Why book someone for the first appointment of the day when you don't have employees booked to do the service? And if you had an employee not show up then communicate that with the customer and reschedule or at least give an incentive to wait. read more

I'm not sure if it was an "off day" for them, but I had a gel pedi and mani. There was a little girl (daughter of owner) literally at my chair the entire time and wouldn't leave the girl doing my nails alone. It was cute for about a minute, but the entire time I was there she was right up on my chair- not relaxing at all. They did not do a massage - assuming she was too distracted. Another girl did my manicure and she proceeded to talk to another employee next to me also the entire time. She would stop and they would whisper and look around. Another man who worked there kept coming up and sitting next to them and watching everything. He tried to insist I get the more expensive manicure- like multiple times. It was a bit aggressive. lol. The customer next to me said the same thing about how strange it was and we got the sense something was going on. Just not a good vibe at all and I just wanted to get out and be done: Will not go back or recommend. Truly one of the most bothersome and un-relaxing nail salon experiences ever. I don't know even where to start. I have been trying to go here for almost two years. I say trying because the service and quality are hit and miss and if Icould give zero stars, I would. First, I always make an appointment because I learned that you can sometimes wait for 30-40 minutes if you just walk in. Despite that I have had nail techs just not show up, several times. They didn't tell me but left me waiting and then finally had someone else do my service. Let me just say as well that not every tech can do every service which is just outrageous. So if you are having a service like a fill in, only certain techs can do them, which in turn, makes you wait. The techs are hit and miss in quality. Some of them are very good and others shouldn't be doing nails at all taking over an hour for a gel manicure. Unfortunately you won't know until well into your service which type of nail tech you have. I have vowed not to go back on many occasions because I have been so upset but I have continued to try. They have a constant turnover of nail techs which makes it impossible if you find one you like as they don't tell you even if you have an appointment until you arrive that the person is gone. Because of this they have a constant supply of nail techs that have no idea what they are doing. Yesterday was the final last straw for me. I had an appointment at 9:30 when they open. I had called the day before to make sure that there would be someone there who could do my nails because I had an appointment I had to get to and couldn't just wait on them. I was assued by the owner/manager that they would have someone. Well I should have known better. I arrived a little early (3 minutes) was told to take a seat and that someone would be with me shortly. The girl at the front desk said nail techs were just coming in. I waited while watching walk ins be seated first. They seated me at 9:40. Techs started coming in late and nail techs took the walk ins who were having fills first. I guess no one wanted to do my gel manicure because it is a less profitable service than a fill in. I waited and asked and was told they were expecting more techs shortly. I finally left at 9:50 unable to wait any longer. As I was driving out of the parking lot now 9:55 they called and said they just had 5 techs show up and I could come back to have my service done. I refused. Why was I assured the day before when I made the appointment that they would have someone there? Why does this place have so little regard for their customers' time? Why doesn't every tech know how to do every service? Why is this a problem that continues? Why can't they get their employees to arrive on time or better yet show up at all? I'll tell you why...this is a management problem where they lie and mislead their customers and where it is more important to get the customer in with the hope that the customer will put up with it. NOT ANY MORE! IF YOU HAVE TIME AND MONEY TO WASTE, GO HERE. OTHERWISE FIND A NEW NAIL SALON. Just a note that when I left here, I went directly across the street to a nail salon in the Kroger parking lot. I have been here many times and wanted to make sure I had a few experiences prior to writing a review. I haven't been disappointed yet! I typically get dip on my nails, sometimes with a tip and sometimes without. I'm picky about thickness and shape and they've nailed it ever. Single. Time. I've also never requested a specific nail tech so each time it's been someone new. I've gotten a couple different pedicures from the menu and have been satisfied every time as well! I decided to try MV nail bar since I live down the street and it was convenient and looked nice when I passed by. i didn't have an appointment but they were able to accommodate me which was nice. I got a gel pedicure and gel manicure, they were both okay and extremely basic, on their menu they charged extra for every little thing, including foot massage, which I've never seen at any other salon. The pedicure only took about 30 minutes which was shocking because at other salons they take about an hour+, I felt like it was rushed and not as thorough as pedicures usually are. They turned out decent so I guess I can't complain too much, but I wish they took more time on cuticle prep and exfoliating. The manicure honestly is the worst manicure I have ever received. It looked okay when I left the salon, but the next day it was literally chipping on 4 fingers. I came in and they fixed it which was nice, but then the next day they began chipping again! not only that, one of them began lifting and then came off completely. it hasnt even been a week since the initial manicure. i am not rough with my hands and gel usually lasts 2-3 weeks for me. honestly I cannot recommended MV bar and spa, it is overpriced and while the ambiance is nice, it is not worth the money at all. Upon arrival, I showed the owner what I wanted. He told me I should find something else because his nail tech couldn't do that type of artwork. He was also kind of rude about it. 15 minutes later someone sits down and I show them what I want and she said she could do it. She did a good job with the design, but my nails were uneven( some long, some short or crooked) and the shape of my nails didn't match each other. I ended up paying $87 for dip and two minimal designs on each hand. They charge you to take off your previous dip off and nickel and dime you for every little thing. I really do need to start asking how much stuff cost before I continue. It seems like a lot of these nail places are price gouging and you don't even get good quality work. Very disappointing. The atmosphere is nice. They have a lot of techs and seem to stay pretty busy. Wish I would've had a better experience. read more

I thought this would be my new go to spa, however, I no longer recommend them at all. I was leaving to go out of the country so got a fill with gel. 3 days later, after already being out of the country this is what my nails look like. Along with the polish coming off, it looks like my nails have grown out at the cuticle because she didn't get close enough to the cuticle. Also the acrylic is detaching from my nails which means I will probably have to get a whole new set. So completely disappointed! read more

I've been going to this place for over a year. The only person who can truly do an amazing manicure is Emma (five star talent), but she is high demand. I've recommended others to try the place when they have commented on how nice my nails have looked, but both people have been disappointed. In the first case, my friend had dip base that was put on too thickly and looked lumpy. In the other case, my other reference asked for gels, but was referred to getting GelX which smelled absolutely horrible. The second case also noted that the salon is not changing out their files regularly which is a major concern for potential fungal infections. I recently had my nails done and had to direct the technician (not Emma) a lot on the manicure, from filing it down to the correct thickness so it didn't look horrendous, to making sure she didn't leave smears of red on the base of the nail. There were many details such as the French tip that are still bothering me on the nails (underside not completely touched up, different lengths on the tip on different fingers). I've been very impressed with my appointments with Emma. I love that MV Nails offers pigmented acrylic vs the other salons I have visited that do acrylic and paint with gel. They can do Instagram worthy nails. Emma does quality work fast! I've left MV salon happy every time. I like the salon color, decor and vibes. I like how they have it set up. Beautiful place and inviting atmosphere. But poor quality jobs performed. I got nail dip and a pedicure with gel polish. Before I even got to my car 2 of my nails where already chipping on the corners. I have never broken a nail in half with nail dip. But there is always a first. 3 days after having them done, one broke right down the middle. They are all different shapes and lengths. When getting my nails done, I guess the man was going fast enough. So a lady grabbed my other hand and started work on it. So, now I have 2 people pulling in different directions. As they argue with each other. And on top of it paying $135. Really. I will not be going back and will be telling everything not to go there. read more

I was there for the first time with my 2 girlfriends and my experience is the communication between myself and the customer service, techs, and others was horrible and messy. I didn't get a pedicure because a person who sitted us ended up leaving me in water for about 15minutes after we were already there for 30 minutes. No communication on their part at all. At 7:00pm the manager asked me if I was getting another service done. I told him yes, a dip mani. He then proceeds to tell me that the staff leave at 7 and could he book me first thing in the morning. I told him I didn't live here, had just left work and stopped in. He then said he could give me a card for 15% off when I came back for the dip mani. Meanwhile, girl beside me doing other pedi offered her client a full set of acrylic nails remember I said she didn't even start pedi til 6:30 pm. Staff was standing around drinking alcohol and watching me leave in the flimsy flip flops they give you when you have tennis shoes on. If they couldn't do what I wanted then tell me and let me go somewhere else that can do both things. They are more expensive then where I normally go.
