When I called to schedule, I was able to get the inspection done the same day (in the afternoon). The inspection was thoroughly done (2hrs+) as all areas of the house (interior and exterior) were meticulously inspected. Mr. Aime generated an inspection report less than 24 hrs post-inspection, which was categorized by locations of the home and provided photos. He then summarized items that were either defective or marginal. He also provided a supplemental certificate of termite inspection. This company has a pending complaint filed with the NYS Department of State Licensing Bureau and…read morereports on file with the SC Division of Consumer Affairs and NYS Consumer Protection. I might as well have had the kid next door do the inspection. Relying on this company's report cost me tens of thousands of dollars after purchasing my home. I could not insure the house without replacing the roof, which they estimated to be 10-15 years. They listed two fireplaces/stoves as wood-burning despite there being obvious gas pipes connected to the units. Therefore, they did not inspect them, and one of them had a defective on/off knob. They only listed the existence of a sliding glass door in the sunroom and omitted that it was not functional and had a 2-inch gap between the doors. The rest of the report was sloppy and several inaccuracies. Fred Hagemeyer, one of the owners, made excuses for these errors, claimed the report contained harmless "misstatements", and blamed everyone else for their assessments. However, in our first conversation, he offered to refund the cost of the report. In our final conversation, we negotiated a money amount to help offset my costs resulting from his errors. I am still waiting.

Major leaks in Living Room and Great Room. We had to replace a sliding door and palladium window, cost over $12,000. They did a Termite inspection (??). The inspector missed all of these very obvious issues. I can see them clearly in pictures taken during the inspection but she made no mention of any problems. She also told me she could not look on the roof because the hatch wouldn't open, which I soon found out was not true. Cost for repairs so far for these three issues: $15k. I think this inspector is preferred by real estate agents because they won't find anything that will hold up a sale. Do yourself a favor and hire a thorough home inspector.
