My husband and I recently had an accepted offer on our home and had started our home buying process. When it came time for the inspection, we had no idea who to call. We decided to get a few quotes as a starting point and reached out to a few people. When we reached out to Mark, He responded very quickly and offered a very reasonable price. We ultimately decided to use him and we're glad we did. Not only did he come in with the best price, but he made himself available to do the job at our desired timeframe which if you are purchasing a home know it has to be done quickly. Mark remained very flexible the whole time and when we needed to reschedule our first date, he came out a different day with no issues. The most important thing for us was an inspector who would actually be thorough and that is what we got. The inspection took about 2 hours and Mark was extremely friendly, professional and most importantly, knowledgable and skilled. He had everything he needed, wore a mask and made the whole process very easy for us. He started outside and inspected every little thing. Once inside, he made sure everything was working, every outlet, every piece of equipment, checked every crack, every piece of paver, attics, tiles....you name it, he checked it. WARNING!!!!! The inspector raced through the inspection of my home before purchase and failed to identify major issues ... corroded wiring and rusted electrical panels, exposed chimney vent (easily visible). Now I'm stuck with thousands of dollars of bills to repair after the purchase of the home. When I asked the company to compensate via insurance, they stated I signed an agreement which I can only claim damages up to the amount of the inspection fee $450!!!. They screwed me and cost me money on the home price as well as repair and refuse to make me whole! Mark Bendit, shame on you! Please check the agreement before you sign. I've contracted Superior Homes for the pre-purchase check of a coop apartment. I spoke with Mark who explained to me exactly what the services included, answered in detail to all my questions and accomodated for the exact date and time when I needed the service. Michael who performed the check was excellent, arrived on time, explained again everything that he was checking and at the end provided a verbal summary of all the findings with recommendations. On the same day he sent the report with all the details, photos and explanations. The report is very practical and gives clear visibility on what needs to be done. I asked for an additional service (mold check) involving an external laboratory and that arrived within 2 days, again very clear and explained. I found this company and Mark, the inspector, on Yelp. We made an appointment during our first call and he was very flexibel and accommodating. He made me feel very very certain that he was going to do a good job after I saw him "in action" just a couple of minutes. I appreciated that he told me what would cost extra (although it was fine anyway but very considerate of him) and that he answered any questions that I had by saying "There are no stupid questions". He went through the apartent from top to bottom and corner to corner, he even went up on the roof above. He took some wet sheet rock (I suppose) with him to have them sent to a lab. His report came fast and was very impressive. In fact so impressive we no longer want to live there. I will recommend him to anyone who asks and am, again, helped out by the efficiency of Yelp. Mark came out the same week and did an inspection on a home we are in the process of purchasing. He did a great job, looked at everything from plumbing to electrical both big & small details. We chose the infared option which can see what the eye can miss and told us where in the home was missing insulation and where the leak was in the home. He inspected every part of the home from the outside fence, garage throughout the entire home. He did the inspection on Friday evening and provided a full detail report on Monday morning. We just had our home inspectied by superior home inspection services. He was professional and through. Our home is 70+ years old and wanted an inspection before we begin some major renovations. Home had been previously inspected for a buyer who fell through a week earlier. Real estate agent was trying to get me to buy a copy of the other inspector's report, which reportedly showed no issues, but I decided to have Mark inspect it.
