Over priced and the arrangements 2/2 were smaller in appearance that the advertised photo regardless of the level order. I get the story of flower sizes vary but sometimes it's significant vs just noticeable. Last funeral- delivery was late and barely made it in time due to "traffic" they are 2 lights down the road. Got a smaller bouquet of yellow roses at Safeway that looked in better shape to take for the memorial vase we were headed up to rather than a last min additional bouquet from this business. This funeral's flowers were ready and kept refrigerated by them for us but the lollies and roses were already tinged with some browning on the edges. read more

I called Pleasant Hill Florist the day before the delivery to confirm they could do a one-day turnaround, and a lovely female florist reassured me that they could. The person on the phone put me on hold then came back and said "all of the orders for that funeral were delivered." I asked her to confirm that she saw MY order specifically she got very snooty, and said "your order was delivered". But she would never clarify that she actually SAW MY order - the only thing she would say was that all of the orders were delivered and my order was delivered. I was on vacation in Mexico when my sisters son suddenly passed away. I wanted to send her a bouquet and I went to Yelp to find a local florist instead of using my usual 1-800 flowers to support local businesses. I upgraded to a deluxe flower arrangement for $135, $165 after the $15 delivery fee and tax. To say I was disappointed is a understatement. I called the shop and the woman who answered asked me to send her pictures. After doing so she replied and said she agreed the arrangement was clearly not what I'd paid for and she would make it right, that bc of covid there was a shortage of flowers (what???!!!) explained that's why my arrangement lacked FLOWERS. This was 4 days ago. I understand during covid things can take longer or be lacking, but a FLOWER shop saying there's a lack of FLOWERS is unreasonable. And if there is a lack of flowers, don't charge extra for a deluxe arrangement. This is why I prefer using a nationwide service, I have never had this issue with them and will certainly think twice about using a local florist if I can't personally go in. read more

Wow! This place was amazing! The level of customer service and floral talent of this place far exceeded my expectation. I am in Southern Ca and yesterday I called and requested that I needed 2 semi large identical flower arrangements for table centerpieces and needed them in a little over an hour as well as have them delivered to Jack's Restaurant in Pleasant Hill. My parents were celebrating a last minute 53rd wedding anniversary "get together" (mini reception) And I wanted to have their 2 reserved tables decorated with flowers. The florists suggested a "spring" bouquet but she was open to modifications if I had any. I left everything up to her own artistry since she is the expert. The flowers arrived well before their reservation time and the flowers came out.....AMAZING!!! My mother really liked them and could not stop saying how nice they were. (As well as their friends and relatives attending the occasion). This morning I get a phone call from my Mom as well as a picture of the bouquets. We recently moved to this area and it makes us happy to support local businesses, and it is not the first time that he has gotten me flowers from this place. I felt the need to write this review because what we received did not look like the picture that he saw online let alone a deluxe bouquet of $49.99. This looks like a drugstore bouquet at best. I understand that Mother's Day is probably a busy day for florists but every bouquet or flower that leaves your establishment is still a representation of the business. I rather not leave a negative review; however, I have ordered flowers from this business three times and the last two times, they have given me terribly wilted, bruised, and honestly horrible looking roses. I attributed the first incident due to an unusual occurrence, but I spent $150.00 on pink roses last time and they handed me over roses that were brownish in hue, wilting, and looked worst than any flowers that I have gotten at Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, etc. I literally couldn't believe the condition of the flowers when they handed them over to me. I really wants to say something but I just couldn't find words to say to them. Ironically, the previous time, I spent like $90.00 again on pink roses and the dude puts together red roses last minute as they couldn't get any pink ones.
