As I was leaving, a lot more people were coming in. I wonder what it's like when a big game is on, like Texas v. Oklahoma, or the Astros trying to get into the playoffs, it's probably filled with people. With the high ceilings, I think that it might get loud but not uncomfortably loud. Modelos appears to be a hit in Beaumont. Yeah, even if you don't like sports, it's worth going to Modelos to get some high-quality south-of-the-border grub at a normal price. If they would consider only allowing smoking on the back patio or elsewhere outside the bar would be one of the best bars I've visited.
