This is my doctors note the next day "Patient presents with complaints of right sided body pain since yesterday. This is about the same and not worsening. Patient states that she had hired a moving service to help move a lot of heavy items to her home. She states that she originally agreed to pay a certain price but yesterday when they arrived they wanted her to pay more money for them to move heavier things such as barrels and bags. She states that she refused to pay them so they left her stuff in the street. She states that she had no other way to move the items so she forced herself to move all of her things. She states that she used the right side of her body to help move and push the items. She states that now since then she has had pain to the right shoulder, side hip, leg and lower back. This increases with movement. Pain can radiate up the back and down the righ leg. " Nuff said! but I wanna state that it was a combination of Tina and Tim that literally tried to "milk The clock " not work -stand around while the one employee Jamison was busting his behind all by himself literally ...while the other bully Tim was standing above me, (while I was packing or even in front of my building )not working ! wasting time, charging me per minute, while standing still waiting for money letting minutes pass and then billing you for that !!!!practically as I reminded him he was" wasting time" (7 hour job - should have been left in its completion ) he took 7 hours and still couldn't compleate it ...btw I payed for 7hours $1500.00...! Tim procrastinating and was constantly offended ...and not working at all !!!!! not keeping accurate time clock (by not telling ME whe his timer went off although he SAID he would ...and not being proactive with me, belligerently aggressively trying to extort the money from me, and I would rather him push my stuff from the side of the road, wich he did then be extorted for money from ZZ Top. We used them for packing and moving a family of 6. Just so…read moremany things broken. I've moved many times before and I've just never seen anything like this. They did not use bubble wrap, or even packing paper. They threw delicate items, literally threw, I saw them, throwing them into boxes and just broke our PS5, our clocks, anything electrical. Anything delicate was damaged. They left doors broken in our new house. It was awful. I don't understand how they could be a professional company. When we went back to our original house, we found that they just left like 1/3 of our belongings were still there. But thrown around randomly on the floor just a complete mess, not packed. Just a horror story. We spent the next day trying to recover our stuff from the old house. And clean up after them. Thank God we moved the PC and laptops ourselves.

My in-person experience was relatively good - good enough that I was posting about it to family and friends with high recommendation. But the day after the move I went to set up my TV and discovered that the screen was severely cracked, having been (it seems) pinched in the top two corners. The crack spread across the entire top half of the screen. The TV works, but is unusable. I had to buy a new one, which cost me almost $200. I submitted the damage complaint twice and was not even contacted. For a company that calls and emails every day for a week trying to GET my business in the first place, that is particularly gross. As it stands now, I can't imagine ever using or recommending College HUNKS again purely because of the lack of response to my complaints, let alone lack of resolution. If you don't have anything fragile, sure, go ahead. But maybe move the fragile things yourself (my TV was the only fragile thing I did not move myself, and I sorely regret it). I will add that it was a 3.5 hour job that involved moving down from a second floor in a house and then up to a third floor in another house, and the TV was the only thing damaged. It was not packed in a box and the movers assured me they could use their TV bag and it would be fine. It was not fine.

Our first phone call was prompt and positive to arrange the move. He called prior to the move to confirm the detail, (items, location and contact). His arrival was timely and very professional. Items were wrapped and carefully taken from the unit to the trailer. No time was wasted and everything arrived at the destination quickly and in the exact condition they left the unit. I highly recommend using his services.

When I first called for a quote, I spoke with Myron who was upfront, asked a few questions to determine how many men would be most efficient for my move, and provided an hourly rate for both weekdays and weekends. No need to provide him a huge complete inventory listing of everything in my home or a virtual walk thru of my home like other companies require prior to providing a price. This was huge for me - as a busy mom juggling a move for my family, I just don't have the time to video chat for an hour or make a list of every box I need to move in order to get a quote. So - I hired Sparks soon after that phone call - Myron explained that they would call the day before to confirm and already told me what time they would arrive on moving day. The day before our moving day, we had a minor crisis with our new home that required us to postpone moving by 1 week - of course this happened a Sunday when Sparks was closed and I was on their schedule for 7:45am Monday morning! I panicked, leaving them a voicemail and sending an email in hopes they would check their messages before sending the guys out early Monday morning as I had already confirmed with Rob the owner on Saturday. No problem here! In fact Monday morning I spoke with Rob, the owner himself about what happened. He easily rescheduled me and did not give me a hassle or charge me a cancel fee! On our actual moving day, the men showed up, 15 min early and got right to work. They took a tour of our home and everything they would be moving and quickly loaded he truck. They did not take breaks, check phones, but worked quickly and efficiently. They even removed an interior door themselves in order to get larger things thru. When we got to the new house, same thing - quick and efficient. There is zero damage to my family's belongings, and everything arrived in tact. These guys were friendly the entire time, spoke professionally, like friends to each other, and did a great job!! We couldn't be more pleased with their service!
