My 76 year old mother visited this place hallucinating with a urinary tract infection two weeks ago. We thought it was an emergency room, because that's in their title. She was treated for a UTI and a rapid heart rate and was billed $2400!!!!! The management at this facility took full advantage of her, and when asked about it played dumb. This is a travesty. Welp it got me. Got the rona., showed up at 8am yesterday morning. Tested positive for Covid. Service was quick and prompt. From the gentleman at reception to Clint and Dr. Turner. Everyone was wonderful. Upon leaving i opted for the monoclonal antibody infusion. Thinking i would have to wait a day or two. As soon as i got home Tasha called and asked when i could come back up to the ER to start treatment. If there was ever a time to review an ER. This would be the time. I was in a lot of pain due to plantar fasciitis. There was swelling around my ankle, which was a major concern. I did not want to be in constant discomfort for months as I am also going through chemotherapy for breast cancer. Dr. Salyer was amazing. She not only dealt with my foot issues but provided me with some helpful information concerning New and current findings on how to deal with side effects from chemotherapy. Came here at 4:30 in the morning last Saturday with my nearly 2 year old son due to breathing issues. Was immediately helped, kindest staff around! Not only did my son get great care, but the doctor and nurses walked me through where to get additional care (if needed) as we just moved to the area, including printing out directions to Austin's Children's Hospital. Front desk receptionist was great and quick on explaining paperwork and processing insurance. No doubt I will be back if we need emergency care. read more

I brought my daughter because she was having pain on her right side abdomen. They said she needed an ultrasound but they had to go down a list of numbers to get someone to come do the ultrasound so two hours later we are still waiting and no nothing about the pain. The nurse on duty was rude when I asked her to turn the a/c down because it was cold and we were the only ones in the building, she offered to bring blankets and was rude about it. I never saw the doctor. The front desk lady was just worried about the co-pay. I wouldn't recommend this place nobody knows what they are doing! read more

Went here after hours, desperate for help with poison ivy rash that went systemic! Well, the shot I received of corticosteroids did help,but without prescription of prednisone needed to continue care until rash was over I had a terrible "rebound" reaction...making my rash twice as bad! $350.00 of 12 hours of relief plus 48 hours of horrible resurgence of rash and itching until I could get back to my doctor. Warning: Be sure you ask about charges before proceeding with care at this facility. They charged my 18 year old daughter $9000.00 for 4 hours of care and a kidney infection diagnosis. She was given fluids, antibiotics and sent home. I was out of town. She was scared, in pain and inexperienced. I firmly believe they take total advantage of young kids with college insurance. Thankfully, her insurance paid $7000, but she still has $2000 debt for the remainder. This may actually make her have to take a semester off of school. First off, a lot of Texas state student think its a walk in clinic or urgent care which pushes us away. I want to make it known this is a REAL ER. Just like the hospital. I've constantly in and out of hospitals my entire life due to stomach issues. This is without a doubt the best experience at an ER, while in the worst pain I've ever been in. My partner went inside & told someone what was going on and immediately a nurse is running outside with a wheelchair. They safely got me into the wheelchair and took me directly to the back. She asked me TWO questions and knew exactly what it was, and she was correct. I had a kidney stone. Within minutes of being in the back they already had an IV in me with medicine. I could finally stop screaming from the excruciating pain. All the nurses I had put 200% into their job, one was helping me breathe and calm down while others were getting everything set up. That kidney stone incident was the worst pain I've ever been in, but they made the experience the best it could've been. I wish I could give a shout out to those nurses but I'm not certain of their names. I've read a few comments from below and thought I'd share my experience. I did not have insurance. They asked zero questions about financial situation and continued their job. Once I was ready to be released, they gave me a folder with all my information and the number to call to speak about billing matters. Very stress free experience. read more

This review is a few months late: VERY satisfied with the service my husband received at this stand alone facility ( which is clearly marked as a 'stand alone emergency room' in every operatory) Very helpful with his condition after his open heart surgery a few weeks prior. The Dr was great and diagnosed my husband's pleural effusion which we were able to get control of. The on site manager was very helpful as well as all support staff. I went in for a bad allergic reaction rash. So far everything that they have told me to do has been working but very slowly. They were very helpful and friendly. Although, I felt like the doctor just sped through the entire screening. Skin rash has gotten slightly better but not 100% clear skin yet. read more

We had to visit this facility today for my son to be tested because a coworker tested positive for COVID. From the the moment I called to ask questions about their process, I knew it was going to be a pleasant experience. Yes we had to wait a few hours but that was expected and just not because she told me on the phone. First of all, the name is My Emergency Room 24/7, who doesn't have to wait in an emergency room. Secondly, this is weird time that we are living in. One of the staff members told me that she and another lady have works six 12 hour days in a row. They smiling and had such a friendly disposition. Once we got called into the exam room the stuff back there were amazing. When we left everybody was apologizing for the wait. I was truly amazed and impressed with this facility read more

Just received EOB from my insurance company where myemergencyroom 24/7 filed a claim of $8500 for Covid testing my college student. It was for ancillary services and ER Emergency and did not say anything about Covid testing. The results did not come back for a week and a half and it was because of all the phone calls asking for results. read more

I went to this ER with suspicion of strep throat on 4th of July weekend because it was the only place open and I needed to work the next week. I did expect outlandish charges because it was an ER, but when I got the bill they had charged $2000+ to my insurance. After calling the billing company, I learned that they had charged me for 12 Penicillin injections, when I had only had one. The billers have resubmitted the claim, but based on other reviews, I suspect this is not a one time mistake. I will not be going to this ER ever again. The staff was nice enough, though. read more

Can't say enough about this facility and its staff. Over the weekend I ended up with a bad strep infection that made it very difficult to swallow not to mention unbelievable throat pain and fever that would not respond to analgesics. I decided it could not wait until Monday to see my GP. I usually avoid the ER due to past bad experiences and crazy long waits in cold unwelcoming rooms along with an enormous bill. We were seen immediately and welcomed with professionalism as well as warmth. I was in a room being seen within 3 minutes of arriving. The bed was comfortable and I was given a warm blanket. Dr. Turner listened to my description of symptoms attentively and seemed to genuinely have compassion for my comfort. He diagnosed the strep and administered appropriate IV antibiotics and steroids and within 20 minutes I was feeling much better. I was offered a beverage and another warm blanket. They followed up the next day with a call to check on me. Once my insurance paid my portion they called to help me take care of the remainder in a way that was suitable to me and I felt like they really cared about my whole experience. With four kids we have visited an ER more than a few times and never did I go home feeling cared for. Being attended to by an ER physician is expected but being "cared for" was a nice experience. In my opinion there is no other ER than My Emergency Room 24/7. read more

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE A HEAD INJURY!!! We should have gone to a real ER. My 21 year old daughter fell off a horse, hit her head and blacked out. The nurse never checked her pupils, never established if she was oriented. I am a Healthcare provider and I got the impression that the Dr was more concerned with getting his $$ instead of the well being of the patient. The Dr didn't follow CDC concussion protocol, and seemed put off when I recommended it. Took the daughter to see a Dr that knows how to treat concussions. The person doing all of the work was a radiology tech. She tried to cover for the Dr and the nurse. read more

Unfortunately, there is no rating below one star. My son who is away a college, had an ingrown toenail that abcessed. He went to My Emergency Room for treatment. The net result is that My Emergency Room charged $1,500 for an ingrown toenail!! My son had a second visit at My Emergency Room several days later for poison ivy/cellulitis. My Emergency Room charged $1,080 for poison Ivy!!! After doing battle with My Emergency Room, they discounted the second charge to $756. Regardless, they charged $2,256 total (not covered by insurance) for procedures that would have been a co-pay if he was able to get home or to a network MD. The situation is this: in Texas, as of 9/1/2015 these facilities are allowed to charge as an emergency room just as if you wandered into the ER at MD Anderson or Baylor. This is permitted under Texas SB 425. The author of this bill is an orthopaedic surgeon by training. I suggest avoiding this and all free standing ER's. There is NOTHING free about any of them. read more

SHAME ON THEM...Our College student daughter went there, she was told she would pay $100.00 for the office visit until we got two different bills , $2,200 and $450.00, they told her that they would charge her in network charges, when they were not covered by BCBS. So, watch out... you may be told one thing and get a big surprise in mail. Shame on this office, probably fooling a lot of students there with no parents in town. I am only giving this place 3 because the nurses here were so nice. Like the previous comment I feel this doctor is all about $$$. One of the receptionist/health admin? said he was in a mood when she came to collect my money. That's the last thing I want to hear when I am getting treated. I had profuse sweats and started having vomiting. I would not be able to hold down any fluids or liquids. Went to my emergency room in San Marcos and was given IV fluids. The quality of care was fantastic. I was immediately brought back and had been taken care of immediately. A family and medical history was taken. After my four hours of multiple bags of fluids, I felt much, much better. I was given specific care direction and released to home. This is the second time I have gone to My ER and am once again thrilled it is close by and so wonderful. I had a new set of nurses-I believe their names were Diana and Tasha was the RN. THEY WERE REMARKABLE! I came in with a migraine that is debilitating and being that I already suffer from chronic pain, going to an ER or Clinic is either great or the most humiliating experience ever. Bring that I'm not going in for any narcos or whatever still doesn't stop those of us who deal with pain management from being treated differently at times. Six months ago was my first visit for a migraine as well and early this morning was my second. Both times were wonderful. I barely finished the paperwork before they pulled me back. Both nurses and Dr Perez were extremely quick and knowledgeable. They were also sensitive and caring. This place is a must! Stay away from this place! My Texas State daughter went there one afternoon. They ran a flu and urine test and the bill was $1,100! of course that included the $926 Facility charge! Stupid! When i called to question the charges they offered to send me a statement! When i asked what the $926 Facility charge was for they put me on hold. When they returned they said they ran a flu test. (that was on the bill for $166) I asked 2 more times about the Facility charge, but never received an answer. read more
