I can't brag about this local bakery enough! Every time, and I mean EVERY time you walk in you're genuinely greeted despite it being 6AM or 12PM. Their hot white chocolate mocha rivals anyones in town, the muffins and bagels are always fresh and they never skimp on my cream cheese. I'm not big on kolaches, but the amount of choices you'll have are fantastic. They do use DoorDash but I recommend stopping in around 7:30AM and enjoying the in and outs of customers and the fresh smell of coffee. Have a big office meeting or hosting a brunch for the ladies? I was so looking forward to eating my praline cheesecake muffins when I got home. Not only did they shrink, but it was the wrong effing muffins. I turned around on the SPID to go there, an extra 15 minutes it took to go back. And then when I got home to find the wrong muffins? I am SO DISAPPOINTED! Let me start out by saying this is a busy breakfast place, so if you aren't very patient this might not be the place for you. That being said - the Carmel decadence coffee is to die for. Literally so much better than Starbucks. The bagels are fresh and they don't cheap ya on the cream cheese. The mini muffins is really where it's at for me though. The muffins and kolaches are usually pretty good! But I go for the coffee which can be good depending on who brews it, however lately its been extremely disappointing. It hasn't been brewed fresh they leave it sitting out in a container, and the espresso machine doesn't look very well maintained. So I recommend avoiding it unless you want gas station taste for triple the price, or go with a desert coffee like the Caramel Decadence. read more

I haven't been to my favorite muffin in years. Today, I decided to stop by to get my mother a treat while she was at the hospital. I'm so glad I did. I had no idea they made kolaches. I tried one and a deep dish apple pie muffin. The man at the counter offered to warm up the kolache. I thought that was nice. The kolache was sooo good wayyyy better than Shipley kolaches with that skinny sausage. My favorite muffin doesn't skip on the sausage. Muffin was delicious as usual. read more

Would prefer to give 0 but not an option. Was charged twice in the same day. One was correct, the other was not mine. It wasn't even an duplicate error because the amounts were not the same. That means someone purposely used my card I formation to put this charge through. When I called to ask why and get this corrected, they stated I need a receipt. How can I have a receipt for something I wasn't present for when they put this fraudulent charge through? It's obvious that they have such a ready response for when they make unauthorized fraudulent charges. read more

I have always spotted this place on alameda and was able to stop one sunday for brunch after church. I really was hoping for better. Unfortunately, i had one banana nut muffin and tea and was sadly disappointed. The muffin was too gooey for my liking and wondered if this was supposed to be how a muffin was. the only reason i ate the entire thing was because i paid 3.99 for the tea and muffin and wanted to get my money's worth. BUt in all reality i should have thrown it away. :( whose to say the bagels are good or not but really wanted this place to be awesome. the tea wasn't that great either. But as i type this i continue to sip on it bc i really don't want to throw away a full cup of iced tea. Not ever being here I was asking basic questions about their coffee, how many shots in a medium etc... The bagels were incredibly fresh. I ordered 2 of the Lox & cream and a ham & cheese croissant. It was all very delicious! Too bad I will not be retiring to this location in particular. The ceiling tiles were all stained, there was dust everywhere, all the tables were dirty (despite there only being one person there when we arrived) and the service was absolutely HORRENDOUS!! I asked for an everything bagel and the woman looked at me and said no. She didn't say anything else until she finally actually looked at me and saw the appalled look on my face, then said we're out. Went by this morning for BLT bagels. They are delicious (but not warm at all) and so were the mini-muffins. However, the help needs to go back to the health dept. to take the food handlers course. I was amazed at the lack of hygiene practices. Both girls handled non-clean things (telephone, items at the cash register, etc). One even licked her fingers to help her open the plastic bag. She also was unhappy about something and voiced some unnecessary words. Both need help, especially S. Reading the other reviews for My Favorite Muffin that date back at least four years it seems nothing is done in response to poor reviews. Manager ALERT!! read more

I have been wanting to stop in and see what they have for some time. I got there at 12:45. Was not much of a choice but didn't want to leave without purchasing something. Paid for a banana nut and a chocolate muffin. Took them home as the chocolate muffin was for my husband. These muffins had to have been at least two or three days old. Hard as a rock. Put them n the microwave to soften. Made them soft but had NO flavor what so ever. I don't know how they are paying the rent, but it sure isn't by selling muffins. It's sad. What a waste. I grew up in Corpus and some of my best memories are from the mornings my friends and I shared their great muffins and coffee before class. My Favorite Muffin remains one of my favorite spots in Corpus. The flavor of these muffins are always spot on and out of the hundreds to thousands of muffins I have enjoyed over the years I have never come across a stale one. I recently got the chance to introduce my own children to My Favorite Muffin, and with out saying I had to bring 3 dozen home to Dallas with me. Try the strawberry cheese cake jumbo muffin! It's so good. Staff was friendly and the food was good. Best kolaches in town! I love coming here after appointments and the location right next to the hospitals is wonderful, it's easy to pick up some of the little muffins for my kids. I am not one to write reviews but today I felt I should. This establishment has been here for many years. Back in the day was also really good & something new for our city. I've never been disappointed knowing what to expect going in though the muffins have been hit & miss for me. My experience just a few days ago was even a pleasant one. Today however was not the case. No one & I mean no one was inside when I walked in but no big deal. I ordered a Classic Club on a sourdough bagel which I looked to make sure Was there before I ordered to go. By now a couple of more people had walked in. By the time I got to my destination & ready to eat my sandwich to my dismay it was not what I had ordered. Should have taken notice when the lady handed me the bag & said "turkey club". My mistake. What I in fact got was turkey on a wheat bagel & NO cheese which is supposed to be on the Classic Club. The top half of the bagel was BURNT. Should have taken a pic but didn't & was too tired from not feeling good to begin with to take it back. Hope the people behind me got theirs orders correct. So SO disappointed today. Service wasn't the most pleasant but I wasn't engaging in conversation either. Gets two stars because the food is good for what it is but better when it's what you actually order. read more
